So at my school, we have sports managers. They basically help the coaches keep tracks of any sorts of stats, varying between each sport, so the coach can focus on coaching. 

My friend somehow convinced me to join the soccer team as a manager. So I'm the head JV manager and an honorary varsity manager, although I don't ever hang out with varsity.

The JV guys love me? Over half the team is freshmen, and I give them all the stupidest advice, and they literally treat me as part of the team. 

Hey, if I'm on the bench, I'm gonna be part of the team. It's in my blood to get involved in something deeply if I start doing it.

Long story short, I'm friends with all these kids. They get to be cool because they have a friend who's a Sophomore, and I get to have a flock of "children" . It's a win-win. Most, if not all, of them will be like "HEY MANAGER!" whenever we see each other in the halls. 

So another thing, the varsity head coach relayed a compliment to me. Other team we've been playing have been mentioning how "into it" the JV manager is (cough ME) and he thanked me for it and it's nice to know I'm doing something right in the sports department for once. 

Homecoming week is next week, I will be on very little if at all.
