i sprayed some finishing spray onto my face. i made sure my straight hair didn't look out of place then sighed.

"you can do this kristen." i said quietly to myself

i stood up from my chair then exited my room. i heard talking and laughter as i headed down the long black stairway.

i entered the living room to see cameras, lights, and people everywhere. i didn't see my mom anywhere. i decided to head to the kitchen.

i found her there sitting at the island with the one and only Hoda Kotb. her and my mother seemed to be having an interesting conversation. i stood stood there like a complete idiot not knowing what to do.

my mom got out of her seat as soon as her eyes met mine. "Hoda this is my daughter kristen. Kristen this is Hoda Kotb." my mom said introducing us

mrs. hoda walked towards me making my heart skip a beat. she flashed a tooth smile, "hi! it's so nice to finally meet you. i've meet all of your siblings but you." she stuck her hand out

i quickly shook it then smiled, "well you saved the best for last." i said making her and my mother chuckle.

hoda smiled, "she's gorgeous kris." i blushed at the compliment.

kris smiled, "that's my babygirl."

"alright kristen! here's how today is going to
go...." hoda said

she started explaining to me how filming would go. the first thing we did was get clips of me doing my favorites things which consisted of me doing my homework, cooking, cleaning, and watching netflix.

this took twenty minutes to do. after that, we were ready for the real deal interview. we both took a seat in front of each other.

the cameramen were getting the lights and cameras settled. i looked to see my mom behind the cameraman. she smiled and gave me a thumbs up which made my heart melt.

"alright! everyone please be quiet! ready in three, two, one! rolling!" the cameramen yelled

it got completely silent. hoda went straight in. "so kristen tell me. what's it like being the youngest in the kardashian/jenner family?"

i sighed, "it's great but at times it's a lot to take in being the baby of the family. i'm expected to keep up with this lifestyle being a perfect teenager in so many people's eyes."

"do you think you're doing okay for being a perfect teenager?" she asked

i chuckled, "no one is perfect. no one. it doesn't matter who you are. we all have our flaws." i stated

"you'll be graduating soon." hoda stated

i nodded and smiled, "yes ma'am."

"you'll be heading of to stanford university soon which is one of best colleges in the nation and a top ivy league school. are you excited?"

"yes ma'am. i'm very excited. it still hasn't processed in my mind that i will be a cardinal soon."

"many people think that you got a pass at getting into stanford. some even say you don't have what it takes to attend that college? how does that make you feel?"

i took her question in for a second before answering, "honestly i don't care what people think because it doesn't matter what i do. someone is always going to judge."

i sighed, "some people just don't understand how hard it is to stay on top of your assignments. how many late nights you have to stay up doing homework. these past four years have been stressful for me. i've been working so hard trying to be a good student-athlete. some people don't realize how difficult it is in high school." i said letting her take it all in.

"but i don't care what anyone has to say. love or hate, i'm still going to be myself at the end of the day."

"i'm so proud of you. you did amazing." my mother said

i looked up from my phone and smiled, "thanks mommy."

we had just gotten finished with the interview. we were currently on our way to somewhere. my mom wouldn't tell me where we were even going.

i was curious since we were in the city. downtown los angeles was filled with people walking up and down the streets. cars flooded the road making me realize why i don't like downtown so much...

my mom parked our car. i looked out of my window and smiled when i realized where we were. "mom we haven't been here in forever!" i exclaimed

she smiled, "i know. i figured i'd take you today since we're not busy."

"you're the best." i said. "don't ever forget it." she said making me laugh.

we both got out and quickly headed inside. luckily there weren't a lot of people in pressed juicery. the cashier was on her phone.

we both walked up to the counter and looked at the menu. "how can i help you-" she quickly gasped when she her eyes looked up.

"holy crap! oh my goodness! i'm such a big fan of you both!" the girl exclaimed. i smiled because i thought it was adorable how she was fangirling over us.

"thanks sweetie." mom said

"w-what would you both like?" she stuttered.

we told her what kind of yogurt we wanted. she went and quickly made it. she came back and handed it over to us with shaky hands. i was surprised that she didn't drop it when coming back over here.

"how much will it be?" i asked while taking money out of my wallet.

"no it's okay! it's on the house!" she said

i chuckled, "oh no that's so sweet of you but seriously. how much is it?" i asked

her eyes widened when she heard what i said. "it'll be $15.83." she said.

i handed her the money then pulled out twenty dollars as a tip for her. "here you go." i said.

"thank you." she said in a surprising tone

i smiled, "you're welcome. would you like a picture with us?"

she quickly nodded, "yes if that's okay with ya'll."

mom chuckled, "of course it's okay love." we both took a selfie with her then took individual pictures with her.

"do i have your guy's permission to tweet about this?" she asked nervously

"of course." i said in a reassuring tone

"thank you so much. i love you both!" she exclaimed. my mom and i looked at each other and smiled, "we love you too." we said simultaneously

"have a good day love." i said. "you too!"

we both headed out to see a couple of paparazzi coming towards us. we both darted towards my moms car and got in before they could even bombard us with a million questions.
