With that being completed, he began to explore deeper into the cavern. Hoping to find an exit or some one to help him, the wind rushing over the landscape made an unsettling cacophony of ghostly whispers. 

Maurice's imagination was starting to play tricks on his hearing. An odd sensation that something was trying to communicate with him. The further he ventured, the less discordant the sounds became. He heard laughing in the distance, along with a long drawn out phrase.

 "Ccoooommmeeee mmmmoooonnnnkkkkeeeeyyy mmmaaaann ccccoooommmmmeee tttooooo mmmmeeeee. "

Over and over in his head he heard this beaconing. In the distance a sickly greenish glow reflected off the stones. "I sssseee you monkeyyyy, I have bbbbeen watchinggg you a lllllong time" The source of the light was a large green crystal which glowed very brightly.

"Who are you? Where is this place? How can I return to my family?" Maurice shouted.The sourceless voice responded, reverberations being felt under Maurice's feet. "I am the Watcher, I see all, monkey man, come to me I can show you much"

"Why should I trust you? Tell me, how to go home to my family"

" Ahhh family is important to you monkey man, the Fah'Rey girl, your wife and unborn child. I can see all"

"Yes, where are they?"

"Far far away from here monkey man, the girl is in the primordial fungal Realm Bludheim. Your wife and infant are sailing the astral seas"

"Are they in danger?, Tell me!!"

"Tsk tsk where are your manners monkey man? Dangers lurk everywhere, I see all, the girl's mortal soul is in peril" the entity retorted with a taunted lilt.

"How do I get to them? You help me, I will do whatever you ask of me."

"Come closer ape, I can show you how to escape" Maurice approached the crystal carefully. "Put your hands on the stone and I will show you how."

 As Maurice followed the instructions there was a blinding green flash. When his vision cleared he found himself inside the green crystal. Just standing outside was a horned blue skinned demon. 

Stretching and chuckling to himself, "See monkey man, that is how you escape. Trick an idiot into freeing you!"
