"GWWAAKK!!", These bothersome children are slowing him down. He should just let the thing eat them, maybe it would come to that soon, he was starting to tire. The mud from earlier dried and caked itself into his feathers. 

Now with the constant movement it began to rub and chaff his skin. Luckily for the trio, the brightly yellow coloured dinosaur was often distracted by different smells in this fungal forest.

It was during one of these interludes in the chase, they were trying to catch their breath under a large sturdy purple mushroom. A tiny hand was tugging on his wing, it was the Fah'Rey girl, "Mr. Chorda, that big canary looks hungry, maybe we should find it something to eat."

Chorda muttered a response, "I was just thinking the same thing, gwwaaak." As he was instigating the process of pushing the Inuit boy out from under the protection of the mushroom into the path of the dinosaur. A door opened at the base of the mushroom, out of it popped a glimmering fox head.

With a voice as silky as the finest courtesan, she beaconed them inside. "Quick come inside my little darlings", she purred demurely.

It was by total surprise to Chorda that the little Fah'Rey brat ran out from the protection of their hiding spot. She ran directly under the feet of the reptile, balled her tiny hands into fierce little fists and screamed, "go away!!!"

 Her body exploded in a tumultuous flash of hot pink light. The Vulturian needed to cover his face with a wing to shield his eyes. He couldn't see what the result was, but he heard the predator screech horribly. 

Followed by hastily lumbering footfalls speeding away from them. He was dumbfounded, it took a minute for him to collect himself, a rare occurrence. "You could have done that this entire time? All the running, hiding, fearing for our lives? All unnecessary?!"

"I didn't want him to hurt our new friend, she is very pretty!" , she smiled impishly

"GWAAK, GWAAK, GWWAAAKK!!!!"
