TRIGGER WARNING! Bullying and Profanities...

Two Weeks After Their Trip to Maldives/ Sarah's 3rd Week After Her Check-Up...

3rd Person's POV

As Sarah was so focused on the letters she has been making for the people who have made an impact in her life, she couldn't help reminiscing all the fun times they have shared with her. Tears started sprawling from her eyes. Immediately, she wiped them down.

She heaved a deep breath and roamed her eyes on the various folded colored stationary she has written on. She also wrote down their names at the back of the papers.

Zenaida
Lourdes
Samantha
Rainier
Preston
Tyrell
Tyler
Dra. Cara San Diego
Dra. Selene Costales
Mom
Dad

She felt as if something is missing. She knows she missed out on some persons' names.

Trying her best to recall the names, she racked her brain for answers. But her head ached more only.

She blew out an air to relax her mind and began her deep breathing exercise for five minutes. She repeated it for a couple of times until she calmed down.

Once she was settled, she set her things inside her box of keepsakes and went to her bed. Maybe, she just needs to rest.

I have known Sarah since she became my brother's bestfriend. She has this confidence that exudes from her.

I have gotten to know her more upon our encounter at the mall. She was so cute yet clumsy.

I chuckled at the memory.

But, moments after, I felt tears flowing from my eyes.

I cannot understand why someone so good has to be given such an illness.

Yes, she can still remember us. Our names. Our faces. Our memories.

But, I am afraid that soon, she will forget about us.

Her friends.

Her family.

Her loved ones.

I am scared that the cachexia she has will develop to dementia.

And soon, will expire.

I closed my eyes in frustration thinking I cannot do anything else. If only I can take away her pains, I will do it willingly.

My thoughts were distracted when my phone rang and I saw who was calling. I swiped it to receive the call and I heard my brother's voice.

"What the hell happened, Kuya?" I heard Tyrell's sobs over the phone. "Bakit hindi ko alam!"

"Calm down, bro. Nalaman lang din namin kamakailan lang." I said sighing in disappointment.

"I'm going home." He said then hung up.

My brother is currently staying and residing in Amsterdam as he met and fell in love with a local there. He was whipped and didn't waste any moment to ask her out on a date. Soon, I was attending his wedding and is now the Godfather of their two-year old son, Trident John.

There is no stopping Tyrell when he's this determined.

"Haven't you heard, may Homecoming daw ang batch natin in two months!" I smiled at the customer as I punched in his order.

The ladies, third in his line, couldn't hide their excitement and looked like they don't intend to.

"Hello, Ma'am. Can I take your order?" I asked politely keeping a smile on my face.

I have been working here for two hours straight and took my break only for fifteen minutes earlier. I needed money as much as I can.

Nadia's monthly checkup is due the last week of the month. I couldn't afford to let her lose the appointment.

I have been working here in Brewed & Chilled for more than three years and I am thankful that my Boss regularized me even if I only get to work part-time. Its the best I can have to support me and my daughter's needs and expenses.

"Gaga! Anong balita kay Nathalie Willis? Hindi naka-graduate daw!" I flinched when I heard my name.

I gave the change to my customer and told her to wait for a moment.
I said her order to Crystal and she promptly started making it.

"Balita ko, maaga nga daw na-jontis?" Her friend added sounding unsure.

"Alam mo ba, pati jowa ng bestfriend nya, nilandi din nya?" The girl in high ponytail who mentioned my name earlier remarked with a whistle. "Iba din ang babae! May lahing ahas!"

I clenched my fists and stared at the two bitches in front of my counter.

"Oh, hindi mo ba kami tatanungin kung anong oorderin namin?" The girl in high ponytail, blue cropped top and high waisted jeans asked sarcastically as she fiddled on her phone.

I transferred my gaze to her friend who has curly hair and was wearing a sleeveless red top and dark denim jeans. She was also busy with her phone and she automatically raised an eyebrow at me.

What a load of bull.

I checked first if they have people after them and realized that no one is there.

I blew a deep breath and said, "I don't take orders from bitches who couldn't even take a difference between what's pleasing to the eyes and ears of people."

"Wow! Ang deep! Sino ka ba ha?" The high ponytailed girl asked.

"Shit! Gaga! Si, s-si.." the curly haired friend stammered when she recognized who I am.

"Yes. It is moi." I said and leveled my face with them.

"The next time you talk about me. Make sure I am not around." I said with indignation. I know I have been attracting attention of some of our regulars here but at that moment, I just couldn't care.

"Totoo naman ah! I even saw you at the bar making out with Billy!" The ponytail girl exclaimed not feigning her reaction.

I raised my eyebrows at her and was about to answer her back when someone interfered with our argument.

"Don't waste your time on her, honey." A man with a familiar husky scent suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "They are not worth your explanations."

I shifted my eyes away from those bitches and met his gaze.

"The door of our cafe is wide open. I believe, we don't have your interests here. Leave and never go here." He instructed with conviction. "No one has the right to humiliate anyone especially if it's my girl."

I gasped and blurt out. "B-Bernard."
