Ellie moved away from the door and watched it open softly. The girl fell back on the bed, and broke down into tears, hiding her face as the door revealed Paul.

He leaned against the doorway, grasping his chest. He wiped the tears out of his eyes, looking at her in complete awe. Paul moved closer to her and sat quietly, tears still running down his face.

" I never thought... I never thought that I'd see you again...?" He managed to say, not looking at her. He swallowed the lump in his throat and turned towards her. He grabbed her hand and wanted to see her face, but instead, she pulled her hand away and held her hands near her chest.

" Why are you here...?" She asked, wiping her eyes.

" John... He wanted to see Astrid, and see how she was after well...-"

" Stuart...? She told me," she told him, still wiping the ongoing stream of tears.

Paul looked at her and wiped a stray tear. Ellie looked at him, and quickly pulled him into a tight hug. She wrapped her arms around him and cried, while Paul did the same. He'd long to feel her embrace, ever since they separated. It pained him how he had to leave because of his actions. He didn't want to do that to her anymore.

" Why is this happening? Why are we meeting again?" She asked, looking up as more tears started to well in her eyes again as she ran her hand through his hair.

Paul hung over her shoulder and thought the same thing." Maybe this was meant to happen."

Ellie pulled away gently, and wiped her drying eyes." That's ridiculous... And...besides that, I'm with another..." She shook her head.

" Oh..." He was surprised and hurt at the same time.

" And correct me if I'm wrong, but in the papers, it says that you have a... Girlfriend?"

" Yeah..." He sighed. He twiddled his thumbs and looked back at her. " Who're ya seeing?"

" Klaus..." She said, looking down, feeling awkward." But we're not in a serious relationship." She added, shrugging, smoothing her skirt.

" What? Why Klaus?" He asked, trying not to sound rude.

Ellie looked at him." Astrid introduced us when I first came here. She thought that we would be nice together, but nothing has happened, really. It's a bit tedious..."

Paul looked at her and thought,' If I were him, I would've been had her...'

" How long has it been, since, well... You two."

" We've been together for about five months..."

" Five months? And still nothing?" Paul frowned.

" Yeah... He rarely ever kisses me. Mostly the cheek." She sighed.

" That does sound tedious..." He mumbled.

" Enough talking about my love life. How've you been? When did you meet the new girl?" She asked him, forcing a smile.

Paul looked at her with hungry eyes and simply said," We met a month ago. Everything has been well. ." He wanted her again. To feel her magic touch again, meant everything to him.

" I could see that." She chuckled." Your clothes are new, and you just look freshened up. All the fame has brought you good things." She told him." I'm proud of you." She smiled.

" Thanks..." He smiled lightly.

Everyone sat together in the lounge, talking and enjoying each others company. Ellie sat with Klaus's arm wrapped around her, while Paul watched from across the room, biting his bottom lip.

" Oh, I remember that! Do you, Paul?" John nudged him and instantly looked at who he was looking at.

Paul looked at him, feeling really embarrassed after being caught staring.
" Daydreaming, are we? Let's see who's on your mind? Oh, let me guess..." He smirked.

Paul looked him with pleading eyes. John's eyes softened before finally said," it's your girl, isn't it? Y'know.... Charlie...Chanel...Charlotte!"

" Yeah..." Paul falsely agreed.

" Oooh! Who's this Charlotte?" Astrid asked, just to annoy Paul.

He rolled his eyes and shook his head." She just a girl I met at this place."

" She's a dancer." John wiggled his eyebrows as he shimmied his shoulders.

" John!" He laughed, his face turning red. He looked at Ellie, who just laughed as Klaus lit her a cigarette.

Just as she was about to take a breath, Paul immediately went over to her and pulled the stick out her mouth to put it out. She looked at him, frowning, and said," Hey! What's your deal?"

" It's not good for you! You don't even smoke!" He told her, surprised about her new unhealthy habit.

" Who says I can't smoke! Geez!" She looked at him weirdly and quietly asked Klaus for another one. She took a long drag from it, and let out a lot of smoke, as everyone continued talking.

Ringo looked and smiled." Who cut your hair?" He asked. Everyone took to notice how short it was then it was originally. She ran her fingers through her shoulder-length hair and looked at her cousin.

" Astrid had chopped it off for me. She said it looked a bit more modern."

" Yeah. I thought that it looked quite lovely for her face. I kept her fringe long, but shortened the back way more." She explained.

" You look even prettier." George complimented.

" I kinda liked it long, but I guess this suits you very nicely," John told her.

" Beautiful as always..." Paul said quietly while everyone else complimented her.

Klaus whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek, making her blush wildly. Paul didn't want to see her with another man and didn't want to think about what Klaus might've said to her, so he got up and excused himself.

" *cough* Excuse me, but I need to go outside for a bit."

" Are you feeling okay?" Astrid asked him, concerned.

" Yeah! I just to be alone for a bit. Y'know, to get some fresh air."

At the same time, Ellie got up and looked at the clock." Oh! I need to be excused as well. I've to go to work." She told them.

" Everyone's leaving, then?" George said.

" I'll be back in just a minute. I just needsome fresh air." Paul told them again.

" I'm actually not coming back till later, so yeah." Ellie waved goodbye to everyone and stood up to get her coat and bag.

" Ok. See ya later, Libby," Astrid said, as she walked over to her, to kiss her on the cheek.

" Bye! Bye, boys!" Ellie smiled at Astrid and the guys, as she exited the home with Paul.

Paul leaned against the railing of the stoop and watched as Ellie walked down the steps. She turned towards Paul with a small smile and waved.

" I'll see you again soon, Okay?"

" Yeah! I'll see you!" He smiled widely.

" Great! Bye!"

" Bye, I love yo-" he stopped himself, coughed, and just said," Bye, love."

Ellie walked away, thinking about what Paul was about to say.

' Bye, I love you!' She remembered him and herself saying to each other. She felt her heart beat speed up just thinking about him but then shook her head.

' Ellie. Really? You have a boyfriend now! What will Klaus think if he found out you still have feelings for him?'

Elizabeth sighed.

She knew that he would obliviously be upset at her. She didn't even know if Klaus knew about her previous relationship. Ellie just took a deep breath and continued walking. She knew that these thoughts would just stress her out, so she just ignored them, and carried on.
