Piper POV

I told myself so many times that I was starting over. A clean slate, no stealing. It was just so hard, there was so much pretty stuff I could just take. No! I'm starting over for Jason. Jason, sweet naive Jason. Goody two shoes. He always followed the rules, never broke the law. It was sweet, but kind of boring. I wish he could be more like Percy, Annabeth is lucky she's dating a dumb risk taker. 

"Babe, you okay?" Jason and I walked down the Strip. The campus had a weird design, the dorms and classes were on one side and the Strip and mall were on the other. The Strip consisted of a bunch of stores ranging from Hollister to Walmart. It was crazy weird. The "popular" girls were crowded around the Hollister entrance. I averted my eyes and tried to walk past them but they stopped Jason.

"Hey Jay Jay!" Heather called, waving her long, thin, well manicured fingers at Jason. Jason decided to humor her, I growled. 

"Hi Heather." He said, completely oblivious. I tried to growl a little louder but Heather and her posse had already surrounded my boyfriend. They dragged Jason into Hollister and I was forced  to follow. Heather took a shirt off the rack and handed it to Jason.

"Here hon," she said, reminding Piper of Drew, "Try this." She pushed him into a dressing room and I decided to leave the store and continue my shopping.

Jason POV

I was pushed inside the dressing room, out of the corner of my eye I saw Piper leaving the store. I called her name but she didn't seem to hear me. I put the shirt Heather had given me on. It was very snug, outlining my muscles nicely. I stepped out to see all the girls sitting, waiting for me. They cheered and Heather stood up. 

"Darling!" She put her arms around my neck, "You look wonderful!"

I removed her arms, "I have to get Piper!" I walked through the door. The alarm blared in my ears, I looked down and realized I was still wearing the shirt. I turned around and saw a big burly security guard behind me. 

"Crap." I frowned.

Heather POV

I looked at Jason, the shirt I picked out fit him snugly. The tight fabric outlined his perfect chest and abs. I went to him and put my arms around his neck. He removed them and walked out. The alarm sounded and he walked back in with a tall security guard. The manager came out and I watched Jason fish a few bucks out of his wallet and hand them to him. The manager snatched them up and Jason wandered out of the store.

"Come on ladies let's go find Piper. I'm sure she'd love to hear a detailed lie  about what happened." I heard  murmurs of agreement.

Piper POV

That horrible girl had the nerve to storm into the store with her posse and start telling me, in detail, exactly what happened.

"And I lovingly put my arms around his neck and he held me. I looked into his eyes and -" I cut her off.

"Just shut up!" I screamed and she obeyed. Heads turned toward the sound. Even though I was pretty sure it was a lie, I continued."Tell him that we are through!" 

She was shocked, "What?" 

I continued through tears, "Go get him Heather, he's yours." I stormed out of Tilly's and ran to my dorm. I collapsed on the bed and Hazel came in.

"Sweetie what's wrong?" Hazel sat beside me.

"Ask Jason." Hazel left and I pulled the things I had stolen on my way here out of my bag. 

Stealing really is tempting when you're  heartbroken.
