💖 Chapter 8

Tara took Chance’s hand and said

“ Baby I know you love your job and you are great at it ,

but I can’t help but worry I would get a call like I did today , but only they are telling me you are dead.

So when you come home at the end of the day I’m grateful.

I know you don’t take any unnecessary chances out there. But that is part of being a cop’s wife that I finally came to accept. I decided to just enjoy every moment we have together to the fullest. I’m so glad you are ok and that I didn’t lose you. I love you so much.” Chance pulled her onto his bed and said “

I love you too.” 

She cuddled on his chest and said ,

“ I’m so glad we have another chance.

Was Becky right when she said there was no time for her to react to the shooting?”

Chance kissed her head and said

“ yeah. One minute she and I were talking and the next minute the guy was shooting at us.

I got out and that’s when he hit me. There wasn’t anything she could do. Now when did you find out you were pregnant?” She replied ,

“yesterday but when you came home from work you were tired so I decided to wait until today then we got into that stupid fight so I didn’t tell you. I was so scared that out last words to one another would be so angry.” 

‘Chance kissed her deep and said ,

“ I’m happy they weren’t and we have another chance.”
