" Another Chance At Love "

When Dr. Justin Kramer saw his wife being brought in he rushed to her side.

He held her hand as her OB/GYN

Dr. Ryan  examined her.

When he looked at Justin,

Justin knew the news wasn’t good.

Dr. Ryan said “ I’m sorry Justin.

The accident’s impact was too hard for the baby.”

When Emily woke up she saw Justin and asked “ what happened?

Is the baby ok?” Justin replied

“ you had an accident you were hit from behind and hit the car ahead of you before you went unconscious.

I’m sorry Em but we lost the baby.”

Emily began to cry and choked out

“I’m sorry. It’s all my fault.”

Justin moved into the bed with her and held her as they cried and said

“ It’s not your fault.” 

She said between sobs

“I was supposed to protect that baby and I didn’t.

I should’ve been paying attention at the light not lost in my own thoughts about how lucky I am.”

Justin pulled her closer and softly said

“ don’t blame yourself.

It was a simple accident with tragic results.

I don’t blame you now lie here in my arms and get some rest.”

She snuggled closer and deeper into his strong chest and asked

“ do you still love me?”

  Justin kissed her and replied

“Of course I still love you.

I will always love you and we will get through this together because of that love.”

She said

“ I will always love you too Justin.”  Justin kissed the top of her head and saw she was fast asleep in his arms. As he watched her sleep he softly cried  over their loss.
