| 2 days later...

You slowly unbuttoned the two first buttons of your shirt and loosened your tie before rolling up your sleeves, slowly glancing over at the dueling platforms that were elevated about 7 inches off of the ground.

Jimin, Yoongi, and Hoseok looked at you chuckling and smiling softly as Jimin wrapped his arm around your shoulder smirking, clearly having watched you fix your attire to prepare for the duel

Jimin: Oooo is our Jungkookie trying to look sexy hmm, trying to seduce opponents?

A soft huff left your lips as you raised an eyebrow and rolled your eyes at him, shaking your head in denial whilst shrugging him off as you chuckled softly

Jungkook: Don't be ridiculous hyung, I'm just getting ready to duel. The last thing I want to be is uncomfortable.

Hoseok: Who are you up against first?

You hummed softly as you folded your cloak and grabbed your wand

Jungkook: I think his name was Park Jisung?

They nodded and Yoongi patted your shoulder reassuringly, knowing you must be quite nervous right now

Yoongi: It's your first time trying duels right? You don't have to worry it's not that hard

A soft smile painted your lips as you nodded whilst looking around the room, watching the other students also prepare themselves for the duels. Once the teacher announced that the duels would start soon, you bid your goodbyes to your friends wishing them luck before heading over to the dueling platform you were assigned to.

You walked up onto the platform and took a few steps forward as you respectfully bowed to your opponent who did the same before backing away as you listened to Professor Han go through the rules

Mr.Han: ... and lastly, remember, these are practice duels meant to train you, not kill you. I want to see fair duels, no dirty tricks.

As the professor was done explaining the rules, you faced Jisung and let out a slow slightly shaky breath as you waited for the sound that would signal you all to start the duel, everyone was painfully quiet as the concentration inside that room was high, seemingly only making it harder for you to calm your nerves

You slowly lifted your wands getting into position, and once the sound of the bell was heard you immediately started firing spells at each other all whilst also blocking the spells being thrown towards you, trying to win against one another. The tension and focus was high as sparks and colorful lights lit up the place like small fireworks

Jungkook: Expelliarmus!

Upon seeing Jisung fail to block the spell, your eyes light up in surprise as his wand got flung out of his grasp and into your hand as you swiftly managed to catch it before looking over at him, flashing him a soft smile as you both bowed to each other

Jisung: Well played Jungkook, if I was a little quicker I could've won.

You handed him his wand back before giggled softly as you nodded whilst shrugging

Jungkook: I was just lucky, you did great

He patted your shoulder before stepping down from the platform, and you let out a breath of relief as you nodded to yourself waiting for the next duel to start

Only this time, you were feeling slightly more confident going into the duel.

|30 min later...

To your surprise, you kept on winning the duels by using different techniques depending on who you were dueling against, and needless to say, people really need to learn to analyse their opponents more and not just throw spells around blindly...

Heck you were even able to win against some pretty powerful people, but your winning streak was sure to end just as quickly as it had started when you saw who your next opponent was.

It's that guy you saw a few days ago during the basketball match... Kim... Taehyung was it?

You watched him from afar as he slowly made his way over to your platform, and you mumbled under your breath as you held your wand tightly

Jungkook: Fuck... I'm definitely losing this round... He placed first on all the monthly evaluations last year, there's no way I can beat that...

Once he was standing in front of you, the both of you respectfully bowed to each other, though your breath hitched lightly as you caught how his eyes switched from a golden brown to an almost pitch black, however you kept your posture upright and ignored it as you needed to focus.

As the bell was heard the two of you wasted no time and immediately began firing spells at each other whilst blocking the spells being thrown at yourselves, though suddenly as you both happened to fire spells at the exact same time your wands seemed to connect as a strong purple and blue light connection formed in between the two of you.

Wait isn't this... Priori Incantatem? So our wands share the same core huh...

This briefly caught the attention of other students though they swiftly returned to their own duels, and you both fought against each other trying to make the spell reach each other whilst ducking every now and then to avoid the stray spells the team next to you had flying everywhere

Just as you were about to win over Taehyung, a loud thud along with a pained groan and loud gasps were heard. So you quickly glanced over to the side seeing something wasn't right before breaking off the connection between yours and Taehyungs wands, swiftly jumping off the platform as you hurried over to them.

After successfully pushing through the panicking crowd that had gathered around him, you crouched down seeing a large cut on the right side of his abdomen painting his shirt a dark red, you instantly reached over and applied pressure to help keep the bleeding under control before glancing over at the crowd as you spoke loudly for them to hear

Jungkook: Call the nurses over immediately!

The guy was visibly trembling as his breath was ragged and hitched, he was clearly scared and in a lot of pain, so you tried your best to calm him down whilst you waited for the school's medics to arrive

Jungkook: Look at me, take slow deep breaths in and out for me... You can do that right? You're going to be okay, it's just a cut.

He nodded slowly and began to follow your lead as you guided him on how to breathe slowly, you focused on putting pressure on his wound and smiled lightly down at him as he slowly began to relax and calm down before the nurses finally arrived.

Once they were there and ready to take over, you finally got up slowly and looked over seeing Taehyung talking to the guys dueling partner... Or more like arguing.

Student: I didn't know it would do that much damage, I thought it was just gonna be a small cut or something. Come on we were just fooling around Kim, piss off!

Taehyung grabbed his collar as he glared at him, eyes turning a dark red as his tone lowered a threatening octave

Taehyung: Your ''fooling around'' could've killed someone! We were dueling next to you guys and had to constantly avoid the spells you and your friend had flying astray everywhere. If you cant control your spells or take it seriously, don't bother dueling!

The student glared angrily at Taehyung as he grabbed his collar as well, not backing away as he gritted his teeth in anger

Student: Mind your own damn business Kim!

You quickly moved in between them as you glared at them both whilst speaking sternly

Jungkook: Calm down, both of you. The last thing we need right now is a fight!

You glanced over at the guy who had inflicted the hurtful spell on his friend and sighed before once again speaking up in a serious tone, still being able to tell he seemed incredibly worried as his eyes kept trailing towards his friend

Jungkook: From now on don't use spells you don't know, you were lucky you aimed for his stomach, this one could've done a lot more damage than it already did. Go make sure your friend is okay now.

After seeing the guy nod slowly, you grabbed Taehyung's arm and pulled him away from the other guy to make sure they wouldn't start fighting again, before silently beginning to walk away from the scene as you needed to wash up

Taehyung: Hah... You're gonna let him off that easily?!

He spoke angrily as he glared at you, making you stop in your tracks and turn back to look up at him, a soft huff leaving your lips as you spoke up

Jungkook: People make mistakes, it's not our job to hold him accountable for it. Don't act like you've never made a mistake before.

Taehyung huffed in annoyance as his eyes slowly shifted to a sort of yellow tone, and you slowly shook your head before walking off to go wash the blood off of your hands.
