He kept on chuckling softly while he gently reached over and placed his hand on your cheek, wiping some foam off of the corner of your lip, immediately licking it away from his thumb making your breath hitch as you blushed

God damn it heart, please calm down...

You looked away shyly as you cleared your throat speaking softly

Jungkook: I-I could've removed it myself if you told me... but thanks

This only earned another warm chuckle from him as you switched back to your own coffees, sipping them in a comfortable silence whilst watching Nari happily run around the place playing around.

Though you naturally found yourself glancing over to Taehyung to admire the fond smile painting his lips as he watched Nari and waved every now and then, and you couldn't help but smile as you looked down at your coffee cup

Jungkook: It must've been tough to suddenly raise her as your own after your sister passed...

He looked down at you in slight surprise, clearly not expecting your words of compassion but nonetheless nodded as he sighed softly

Taehyung: Yeah... Mom and dad have been of great help in guiding me, but at the end of the day, I'm really the only parental figure she has left... I just hope I've done at least something right

The clear hesitation and uncertainty in his words nearly made your heart clench in sadness, and so you looked up at him, flashing him a warm and reassuring smile whilst gently placing your hand onto his arm

Jungkook: Trust me you have... You keep proving and showing just how much you care for her and love her, and that already speaks for itself, so please don't doubt yourself...

His eyes flashed a soft pink as he placed his hand on top of yours while smiling, but you quickly moved away from each other as Nari suddenly ran up to the two of you happily

Nari: Appa, Jungkookie look what I made!

She handed Taehyung a drawing she had made, displaying the three of you holding hands with your names written next to the characters, and she had also drawn in ice cream and  coffee cups and hearts in different colors onto the paper, earning bright smiles from the both of you as Taehyung gently ruffled her hair making her giggle

Taehyung: Woah you made this? Appa will frame it when we get back home!

Jungkook: Awww you're a little artist sweetie!

As she crawled up into your lap, you gently wrapped your arms around her to ensure she wouldn't fall as she began to explain the drawing even more while resting against your chest

Nari: -and these hearts are the sprinkles from my ice cream that turned into hearts!

After the little cuddle break, she then hopped back down onto the ground while Taehyung patted her back gently

Taehyung: Alright hun, go play with your friends for a little more and we'll start going home okay?

You watched as she nodded happily before running off, making you giggle softly as you examined her drawing even more

Jungkook: How adorable... I've never had anyone draw me before

He held the drawing next to your face and smiled brightly as he nodded

Taehyung: Looks exactly like you as well!

You both burst out into a fit of laughter as he held onto the drawing dearly making sure to keep it safe so that he could frame it when they got back home.

| Later...

After another hour of playing around with her friends at the playground, Nari was finally tired and ready to go home, so you helped her put on her shoes and jacket as she rubbed her tired eyes while yawning

Jungkook: Ready to go princess?

She looked up at you and made grabby hands, making your heart melt at the cuteness as you giggled softly before lifting her up so that you were carrying her on your arm. Taehyung made sure you guys had everything before you all  started heading for the exit of the playground

Taehyung: Nari say bye bye to the staff

She waved softly before cuddling closer to you, and they awed as you both bowed lightly before leaving heading towards the parking lot, Taehyung unlocked the car and opened the backseat door, and you cooed softly noticing she had already fallen asleep in the comfort of your arms

Taehyung smiled softly as he caressed her hair gently while looking at you, and the both of you exchanged warm smiles at the adorable sight

Jungkook: Think she used up all her energy?

Taehyung: She sure did... Hey, it's getting late, let me drive you home after we get Nari back and into bed.

You were just about decline the offer, not wanting to take up more of their time together, but widened your eyes slightly in surprise as Nari suddenly seemed to wake up and hugged you tightly while blinking softly as she spoke

Nari: I like Jungkookie.. Jungkookie makes me and appa happy..

She nuzzled closer to you, and you blushed softly as you looked at Taehyung in surprise making him chuckle softly

Jungkook: A-alright princess, let's get you home okay?

A content yet sleepy smile spread on her lips as she nodded, and you carefully placed her into the car, fastening her seatbelt whilst making sure she was comfortably seated before closing the door.

Taehyung and you glanced at each other, exchanging shy smiles before also getting into the car, ready to take her home.

| Later...

After a silent car ride home with only soft music playing from the radio, Taehyung finally pulled up to a quite modern and frankly very big house making you gulp nervously.

You knew he was from a rich pure-blood family, but that is a detail that was easily forgotten and so this really was a big reminder of how different your world is from his and just how much you don't fit into it...

And quite honestly, you'd be lying if you said you didn't feel a slight form of fear wash over you, not knowing whether his parents were home nor what they'd think of you if they saw you

Taehyung: You okay?

A breathy and somewhat forced giggle left your lips as you swiftly looked over at him and nodded

Jungkook: Y-yeah.. Let's just get Nari inside

He nodded and flashed you a soft smile before you both got out of the car, gently lifting the sleeping Nari up as you headed towards the door, waiting for Taehyung as he typed in the code and unlocked it so that you both could head upstairs and into Nair's room

Taehyung: You can just lay her down on the bed, let's not wake her up.

You nodded in agreement and he lifted the covers as you carefully placed her down, helping him tuck her in nicely before you both quietly left her room, closing the door behind you

Taehyung: Thanks for helping me get her inside.. and just for everything you did today Jungkook

He gently caressed your hair and you blushed softly as you looked up at him

Jungkook: No need to thank me... Thank you for letting me meet her and hang out with the two of you today, it was really nice..

The two of you looked into each other's eyes for a bit, seeing his eyes flash pink once again making you smile softly, and you naturally felt your heart skip a beat as he slowly began to lean in closer when-

''Taehyung dear is that you? Come downstairs darling, tell us about your day''

You immediately moved away from him as you almost felt the blood drain from your face in shock and fear, whispering softly to the equally shocked Taehyung

Jungkook: W-was that-?

Taehyung: -My mom.. Yeah.. I thought they were still out for dinner...
