32: Oops
"How well do you think you did?" Luke asked me as we both exited English class at the same time, surprising me since he's never approached me like this before.
He ended up reviewing with me and helped me memorize until it was about one. I only got five hours of sleep, yay me.
I tried to stifle a yawn but eventually failed. "From one to ten?" I asked, looking at his cerulean eyes, which directly stared at my blue-green ones. "Four. I didn't get enough sleep last night and forgot to study."
"I wonder whose fault was it?" he questioned, making me roll my eyes. "Hopefully you'll get at least a decent score, thanks to me."
I didn't get to answer him as he walked away, going to the opposite direction of where I was about to go. Before he left, I swore I saw him flashing a small smile that looked genuine.
Suddenly, Nate appeared next to me with a smirk on his face. I forgot that he was also in the same class as mine. "What's just happened?" he mused out loud. "Is somebody trying to make a move on you?"
"He helped me with the test last night," was my blunt answer. I didn't realize I've just said it out loud before thinking. I slapped him on the shoulder as he just smirked.
He laughed loudly as I just glared at him. "Last night," he pondered loudly. "Wait until Michelle hears this."
I groaned and ignored him for the rest of the period.

"The date of the play is getting nearer and we only have a few more times to practice," my drama teacher, Mr. Peter said excitingly. "I know that you all have been working so hard, so I know that things would be alright."
I sighed as I was quite nervous since the day of the real play is coming closer and closer.
"We've practiced the beginning for a zillion times, so let's just skip over a few scenes and let's do the last scene," he said, giving me and Luke a nod as we both got onto the stage, preparing for the scene.
The lights were all turned off except for the ones on the stage and the spotlight that was glaring at me and Luke.
We were both sitting on the floor as the setting was that we were in a park, having a picnic. The setting was set two years after the first scene. Logan, Luke's character was supposed to propose to Audrey, my character. As what Mr. Peters originally planned, we were supposed to share a long passionate kiss but we refused so we settled for a hug instead, much to my relief.
I leaned onto Luke as I looked up at the ceiling with a smile on my face. He was supposedly smiling at me, caressing my hair. "You know," I started. "A few years ago never would I ever thought this would happen."
"Us like this?" 'Logan' said looking at me with his cerulean eyes. Duh, I thought in my head.
I nodded my head as I faced him completely. "I hated you," I told him. Actually, I still dislike you.
"I've never actually hated you," he said and I blinked. "I thought that you looked beautiful when I first saw you."
I raised my eyebrows. "Really?" I asked. "Even after I splashed you with that bucket of water?"
"Really," he said, as he backed away from me, probably going to propose. "I was attracted to you at first sight and ever since I got to know you, this attraction grew more and more, turning it into love."
Wow, how cheesy. I looked away, making my smile into a shy smile as I looked at the floor. As I looked up, he was kneeling on the ground and I gasped.
"Ever since I met you, my life turned into a rollercoaster," he said with a chuckle and I had to hold back a laugh. "My stomach would twist when I see you; I'm glad that we had our ups and downs together and I really want to share more memories with you."
I stood up and took a few steps back, my hands clasped on my mouth in surprise. "Audrey Kaya Kensington, will you spend the rest of your life with me?" he said and actually managed to look sincere.
Tears started to come up as I forced myself to do so and nodded my head. His face turned into a grin and I stepped forward and gave him a hug.
We broke the hug and looked at each other, slowly leaning closer. He quickly leaned in a gave me a peck on the lips. My eyes widened at the action he had done and held myself together before I ran out of the room for what he had done.
I heard a cheer and claps as his lips met mine and quickly pulled back, his cheeks flushed and I think mine was flushed as well.
"You have to do that in the real show and I will definitely double your credits!" my drama teacher exclaimed as he had this huge grin on his face. If he weren't my teacher and if he was my age, without doubt, I'll go over him and give him a WWE smackdown. "Oh, I forgot to say 'cut!'"
I walked away from the stage and approached my teacher. "May I go to the bathroom for a second?"
"Sure," he answered and I gave him a small smile before leaving the room.
Entering the nearest bathroom, I stared at myself at the mirror and placed my fingers onto my lips, remembering what Luke did. Few minutes later, I turned on the water on the sink and washed my lips, scrubbing them for about a minute.
I knew I was being over-dramatic, but I disliked him. I hadn't been kissed in a long time, and I wasn't ready to be kissed again.
Staring at my blue-green eyes once again, I sighed as I walked away and exited the bathroom. As I walked past the doors, I spotted a lean figure standing on the hallway.
Luke looked up at me with a his hands on his pockets. "I," he said, taking his hands out of them as he runs a hand to his hair. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay," I quietly said, surprised at him apologising to me. "You looked like you didn't like it either."
"I want to say that I'm never going to do it again, but after hearing Mr. Peters saying he'd double up our grades," he said, ending the sentence with a shrug as we both walked back to the room.
I nodded my head. I've only known him for a while now, and that's one of the main reasons why I felt quite uncomfortable doing scenes with him, but I chose drama and I have to do it whether I like it or not.
After thinking of words to say to him, I decided not to and just followed him to our teacher as everyone was gathering around him.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
"Bye," I said to a familiar classmate of mine as I passed the school hallway, just after drama club.
Soon I was walking through the familiar lockers and stopped at mine, remembering that I had to bring home my chemistry textbook for review as I'd have a quiz for it next week.
I heard a few footsteps too as I was arranging the messy locker but I didn't look back at the noise as I thought that they were probably other students from the drama or other clubs about to go home.
Satisfied at my work at tidying up my books and other things, I shut my locker and turned around to see Luke walking past me with his backpack slinging on one shoulder.
He turned around to me and had a small smile on his face. "You walking home?" he asked, catching me off guard.
I had to blink repeatedly, registering the words coming out from his mouth.
What was wrong with him today? Last night, he helped me with the quiz we had today, approached and talked to me, apologized, and now asking me if I was walking home.
Slowly, I approached him and touched his cheeks and forehead with my hand. "Are you alright?" I questioned. "You must have a bad case of 'Be nice to Anna' today."
He just laughed at brushed away my hand from him. "I'm sorry, I just realized that asking a normal question would be offensive to you."
"Okay," I sighed. "No, I'm going to text Ashton and he'd be picking me up. What do you want?"
His good ole smirk came back. "Hello, snappy Anna. Nice to see you again."
I started to walk away from him, pulling out my phone to inform Ashton.
"No, wait," he said, putting his hand on my shoulder. I turned around at him and he looked at my shoes for a moment, making me also glance at the black sneakers I was wearing. "I could take you home."
Before I could say anything, he spoke up again. "We're neighbors, so I could drop you off."
I failed to have any words come out of my mouth. The last time he drove me home was when Ashton told him to, and this time it's certainly not by my brother's request.
"Okay," he said, turning his lips to a grin. "Let's get going."
Just following him like a lost puppy, I was shocked at his sudden change of character. He wasn't possibly human.
Before I knew it, we were already reaching his black car and I got in, inhaling the scent of the car which was also Luke's scent; not too strong and just the right amount. It's weird for me to think of his scent since I've never realized how he smelt like.
He started driving out from school and soon we reached a familiar intersection, but he went to the opposite way of where we were supposed to go to.
"Hey, where are we going?" I asked, looking back at the way home. I wanted to go home, wanting to catch up on the latest TV series I was watching.
He glanced at me with his cerulean eyes. "I'm sorry. I'm kinda hungry. Mind if we stop somewhere to eat for a while?"
I narrowed my eyes at him, telephatically telling him that he was a few minutes late to inform me.
"Oops?"
