11: Fast Move, I Know
This chapter is dedicated to iMemory. Thank you for reading! :D

"I like you," I said, staring onto Luke's green eyes, I guess. I'm not sure what his eye color is because I don't care. "I really like you."
Then, he started chuckling. I was kind of surprised because he rarely laughs.
"You jerk!" I half-shouted at him. "You're not supposed to laugh. Read the script!"
It took him a while to stop. "I- Your expression."
I just glared at him before I repeated the lines.
"Anna, you must say it passionately," Mr Peter said, interrupting our practice. "You are usually a great actress; today you are not giving your best try."
I pressed the urge to roll my eyes. Instead, I took a deep breath and repeated the line, this time with more effort.
"I really like you!" I said, trying to exclaim it as passionately as possible, which is very hard.
Surprisingly, Jerk didn't laugh this time. His face expression was exactly like what the script said: Logan's expression is emotionless and stares at Audrey.
We stared at each other's eyes for like about a minute before I broke it.
"I-I have to go," I said, trying my best to look like I was about to cry. I was about to run when he suddenly held my wrist.
"Wait," he said slowly. "I also feel the same way as you."
Instead of doing like what I was supposed to do, I rolled my eyes without me realizing.
"Cut!" Mr Peter shouted. "Anna! You weren't supposed to roll your eyes."
I groaned and slapped my hand to my forehead. This is too cliché!
"Repeat from the beginning of this scene," Mr Peter announced. I could feel Luke's eyes glaring at my back.
Great. Just great.

Finally, it was time to go back home.
As I was walking, suddenly a familiar voice called my name. "Hey, Anna!"
I turned to the direction of the voice, or so I thought, because I thought the source of the voice was on my right, but instead it was behind me.
Good navigation skills, Anna.
"Oh, hey Nate," I replied with a smile. "I haven't talked to you in a while."
Well, I've seen him for a few times because we shared some classes together, but we didn't actually spoke. I also shared some classes with Michelle, but she never glanced at me.
"Yeah," he said with a flash of guilt on his eyes. "I'm so sorry for not being with you these past few days."
"You were with Michelle the whole time, right?" I blurted out, and Nate looked guilty. "I didn't mean to say that, I--"
"It's alright," Nate said, offering a small smile. "I- Uh, I'll pick you up for our lesson at 5:15?"
I smiled at him before answering. "Yeah, sure. See you later, Nate."
"See you!" he said as he grinned.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
"Hi," I muttered as I got into Nate's car.
"Hey," he said as he smiled. "So, how are you?"
I sighed before answering him. "I'm fine, I guess. How about you?"
He raised his eyebrow as he said, "You guess?"
I simply shrugged. "Physically, I'm fine."
"I'm thinking of going to apologize to Michelle," I said after moments of silence. "It's been a while since I talked to her."
"When are you planning to apologize?" he questioned.
I stayed silent for a moment, trying to think when is the right time to apologize to her. "Maybe tomorrow, during lunch time."
"Alright, good luck," he said as parked his car. "I'll try to help you if I can."
I smiled at him. "It's alright; you don't need to."
"Do you think she's going to forgive me?" I questioned.
Nate faced me and gave me a smile. "I believe so."
I started thinking of the possible responses that Michelle may say.
She is either going to forgive me and come back, or she'll reject my apology, and never talk to me again.
The latter makes me sad, because not only I will lose a friend, but also I'll lose my only female friend.
To whom am I going to talk about boys and other girl stuff with, Ashton? Heck no.
"Anna?" a voice interrupted my thoughts. "Anna?"
"Huh?" I looked to my right to see Nate looking at me with a worried expression.
"Are you alright, Anna?" he asked, and I nodded my head. "Let's go in, class is starting soon."
"Oh, yeah, sorry," I said, getting out of his car and went into our class.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Okay, today I will go to Michelle and apologize. I've decided go apologize the day after I told Nate.
Fast move, I know. But first, I must find her.
First, I went to the library to see if she was in the library or not. She's not there. Second, I went to the cafeteria and did not find Michelle or Nate.
Finally, I went to the school's field and much to my dismay (and a teeny tiny percentage of relief,) she wasn't there.
Thanks to the cold weather, not many people are around on the field.
I found an empty table slightly covered in snow. I wiped the snow off the table and sat there, deciding to eat my lunch in peace today.
The sun shone brightly despite the cold season; this year's temperature is a bit warmer than last year's one, but it's still colder than most countries now because I live on the North East.
Halfway through my sandwich, I heard footsteps approaching me, or at least I thought.
"Uh . . . Anna?" I looked up and saw the guy who caused Michelle and I to argue–Blake.
"What do you want?" I inquired.
I saw him shifting uncomfortably, probably because of my glare. That surprised me because I thought he was going to beat me up into a pulp.
"May I . . . sit here?" he slowly asked, but even before I could answer him, he took a seat in front of me.
He stayed silent for a few minutes, causing an awkward but tension silence, excluding the sound of me eating my sandwich.
"What do you want?" I snapped as soon as I finished my sandwich, and he nearly fall from his seat.
"You shocked me," he said, gasping.
I rolled my eyes. "Don't tell me you come here without any reasons."
I doubt he'd come and sit with me at lunchtime without any reason. The only reason he has ever sat with me was because of Michelle.
He sighed before he replied. "Have you seen Michelle?"
Did he come all the way to me just to ask if I have seen her?
"Not a clue," I replied. "I haven't seen her the whole day."
"Oh," he said. "I thought you knew because you're always with her."
Hearing his reply, I laughed humourlessly. "Yeah, I used to."
"You both . . . argued?" he asked with his eyebrows furrowed.
"Yeah," I said, staring at the white snow resting on the floor.
Gazing back to the dirty blond, I asked, "Did you just come all the way here to ask about Michelle's whereabouts?"
"Well," he started with a sigh. "I wanted to go to her to explain. I'm still trying to talk to her."
I snorted. "If you're trying so hard to explain to her, you shouldn't have dumped her in the first place."
"It's complicated," he said as he ran his hand through his hair. "I wanted to protect her."
I raised my eyebrow. "Protect? You smashed her heart to pieces."
"I guess I'll tell you," he said after making sure that no one was near us. "Three days before I broke up with Michelle, I received a phone call from an unknown number. When I answered, it turned out to be Amanda. She straight forwardly demanded me to break up with Michelle."
My eyes widened. I knew he didn't randomly do that, but he is still stupid to listen to Amanda.
He continued the story, "I directly said no, because I really liked Michelle. Then she threatened me that if I don't break up with her within three days, she will ruin Michelle's life. She demanded me to break up with Michelle, and pleaded me to come back to her."
"And you listened to Amanda," I snorted. "You're willing to go back to a girl who has previously broke your heart."
I got up from my seat and walked back into the school building.
"I wanted to protect her. You know how Amanda doesn't want things to get in her way," he said in a low voice moments before the bell rang, signalling that lunchtime was over.
"Now you're expecting her to just come back to you?" I snorted. "You are stupid."
With that, I left him to go to my next class.
