The Void of Longing, Part 1 [SHIP]
This is a remake of 'I'm Sorry, Kitten.', I'll also be replacing the title.
This AU is inspired by the famous Miraculous Ladybug ship called Marichat.
Main Characters:
- Annie (Kitty Noir)
- Garcello (Tealbug)
-Tiki; Stays the same but she is all teal instead of red.
-Plagg; Stays the same but his eyes are red instead of green.
The AU will pretty much have the same MLB Logic, for those who don't know, here's a quick summary!
Everyone doesn't know their identities despite being obvious. Garcello loves Annie who, as Kitty Noir, loves TealBug, but Garcello, as TealBug only sees Kitty Noir as a friend, and Annie sees Garcello as just a friend. (Basically the regular MLB logic).
This doesn't take place in Paris, instead, just in a city, not sure exactly where but it's in a city.
---------------------------------------
Kitty Noir patrolled the city streets, her eyes blurred with tears from the battle that had just ended. She wished to forget the horrors of that day, to finish her patrol, and find solace in her apartment.
Today's akuma battle had been brutal, unlike anything she had faced in her four years of heroism. As she traversed the cityscape with her baton, she couldn't shake off the dreadful memories of the day.
Upon returning to her apartment, she stood on her balcony, hands resting on the railings, gazing at the city's radiant night. She forgot to de-transform, lost in her thoughts and the recollection of the day's events.
The flashback of the akumatized victim's story played in her mind. She had been holding a vibrant red rose, intending to confess her feelings to her partner, Tealbug, once the battle was over. She placed the rose gently in her pocket, dreaming of that moment.
They listened to the victim, who spoke of years trapped in a void of loneliness, forgotten by all, even his own family—the Dearests. But Kitty Noir's attention was fixed on Tealbug, analyzing the candle with blue flames that his Lucky Charm had granted him.
The battle raged on. Kitty Noir saw people vanish after being struck by lasers. Tealbug struggled to comprehend the use of his newfound object as Kitty Noir protected him from the akuma's onslaught.
Her heart had belonged to Tealbug since their first meeting, though she knew he regarded her only as a friend. Yet, she hoped for change, a day when her relentless flirting and puns would be worthwhile.
Reality brought her back as an oncoming laser nearly struck her. She deflected it just in time, determined to guard Tealbug. In their four years as heroes, she had fallen deeper in love with him, yearning for a day when he'd love her back.
Though she was certain Tealbug saw her only as a friend, she remained hopeful that someday, all her efforts would pay off.
In the heat of battle, an opportunity arose. Tealbug instructed Kitty Noir to divert the akuma's attention while he pursued a lead. She obliged, taunting and dodging lasers, her puns infuriating the akuma.
The distraction worked, drawing the akuma away from the city's vulnerable citizens. But it didn't last. The akuma targeted a blue-haired boy with a red hat who had fallen on the road after tripping on some large cracks. Kitty Noir dashed to save him, pushing him out of harm's way, only to be struck by the laser herself.
When she opened her eyes, she found herself in a desolate void. Fragmented platforms and decrepit buildings floated in an endless expanse. Panic gripped her as she called out for Tealbug or anyone, but only her voice echoed.
With no way to jump between platforms, Kitty Noir's frustration grew. She wondered why she was alone in this eerie place when she had seen many others hit by the laser. Had she been the only one transported here?
As she examined her surroundings, her curiosity led her to the edge of a platform. She peered over, gazing at the plummeting black deep void below. Minutes had passed and soon turned to hours as she contemplated the mysterious realm.
Her rose, once fresh, now withered and rotten, puzzled her. She clung to a single red petal, her last offering to Tealbug. With a heavy heart, she rested on the platform, taking a short nap.
Upon waking, anxiety gnawed at her. Tealbug had yet to rescue her from this wretched place. She couldn't bear the loneliness any longer.
"Tealbug! Garcy!" She cried out, desperate for their company. She no longer cared if Tealbug discovered her true identity. She just wanted to be with someone she trusted.
More hours passed, and finally, Kitty Noir was engulfed by a swarm of teal-colored ladybugs. As they dispersed, she found Tealbug, tired but safe, helping the victim of the day, AGOTI, who appeared bewildered. Tears welled up as she hugged Tealbug, a break from their usual fist bump.
"Whoa, what's gotten into you?" Tealbug chuckled, surprised by Kitty Noir's sudden affection. "Nothing... I just missed you," she said, struggling to hide her emotions.
Tealbug's confusion persisted. "Missed me? Kitty Noir, it's only been less than 10 minutes."
Kitty Noir's hopes were shattered. She had expected Tealbug to understand her longing, to spend more time with her. She had patrolled all day, hoping he'd join her or at least check on her. But he never did.
Questions plagued her mind. Was she being too clingy? Did Tealbug hate her for it? She felt undeserving of him, of Plagg, and her role as a hero.
With her memories of the events of today overwhelming her, Kitty Noir sobbed silently until a hand touched her shoulder. Startled, she reached for her baton, ready to defend herself.
"Kitty?"
"Garcello...?"
