Ghostly Roommates pt. 1 [BFF]

Annie and Garcello have been taking their daily walk, both busy singing together to notice grey clouds starting to form in the sky. By the time the two realized that it was about to start pouring, they quickly looked around the street they were at, trying to find a shelter for them to stay dry.

When Garcello spotted from afar what seemed to be an abandoned building, he grabbed Annie's hand as he started running towards the rusty doors, yanking Annie and making her yelp in the process.

As they were both running, raindrops started to pour down from the sky, Annie noticed where he wanted them to go to, so, while still holding hands, she started to run faster, pulling Garcello in order to give him a boost as he chuckled at the sudden turntables.

Once both finally arrived at the building, they both went inside and shut both doors in the process. They could hear the winds starting to roar furiously and  rain starting to pour heavily, they knew that they were gonna stay in the building for a long time.

While Garcello continued to look through one of the non broken window on one of the doors, wondering when it will stop raining, Annie took it apron herself to look around the room they currently were in. She looked around, seeing grey dusty walls with cracks, and a huge worn down stage.

"Hey Garcy, don't you think this place looks like, I dunno, an old opera house?"

He stopped looking at the window and turned to her.

"Hm, I guess it does."

He said as he started looking at the room and at the stage.

As both started to explore the place more, hopping to find something they haven't seen yet to pass the time, Annie heard a voice nearby.

"Tanner, look! People!"

"Who might it be no-"

"I bet they can help us!"

"Marie please.. don't you remember the clown?"

Annie watched as the ghostly figures continued to talk to eachother, she couldn't help but be amazed at the sight in front of her, after all, the only ghost she has ever seen was Garcello's ghost form, but this time, they were ACTUAL ghosts! Although they both looked much more different than Garcello's form.

'Maybe there are different types of ghost forms? Wow, I wonder how many are there..' She she thought to herself.

(Random Fact in this chapter: Much like Annie turning into her liquid form by drinking too much in a short amount of time, Garcello can turn into his ghost form by inhaling too much in a short amount of time, instead of dying).

As Annie kept looking at the two ghost in awe, thinking about other possible kinds of ghosts, she never noticed that both ghosts were now looking at her, not until one of them went up to her did she realized that she had been seen by them.

"Hello there, kind fella!" A white ghost spoke as the other who approached her gave her a kind-hearted smile.

One had fluffy white hair and wore a pair of white pants with a white bowtie, a black shirt under a white suit with four black buttons on the front and long, frilly flaps that make it resemble a wedding dress.

The other one on the other hand, is entirely black, with long silky black hair. Almost like the other, she wore black pants, a black suit with four white buttons and a more formal design compared to the other ghost, and a white shirt along with a black bowtie.

Annie stayed quiet, processing what was currently happening in front of her, before eventually opening her mouth to say something, only to be interrupted by the sound  of her friend running to her.

"Annie! Are you ok? I heard voices, is there anyone there with you? Did they hurt you?!" Garcello asked while rushing towards her and putting himself and his arm in front of her in a protective manner while glaring at the poor ghosts.

"Garcy, I'm fine! They didn't do anything, calm down!" She explained, and started Garcello calm down a bit, lower his hands but still kept glaring a bit at the two ghosts who, despite being already dead, trembled a bit at the teal haired man's scary glare.

"I'm sorry about him, I promise you that he is a pretty chill guy, he is just very overprotective is all." Annie apologized.

"We understand, my sister was/is like that as well." The white ghostly figured said, while the other gave them a playful shove in the shoulder as Annie and Garcello chuckled at their playful actions.

"I'm Annie by the way, and this is my best friend, Garcello! Nice to meet you!" She said as Garcello waved hello, his glare no longer there.

"I am Tanner.. and this is my older sister, Marie. Nice to meet you two."  He introduced himself and his sister, as Marie also waved hello.

"Sorry to ask you two, but can you help us ascend?"  She asked.

"Yes, as nobody else c-" He said, but was interrupted by his sister.

"Like the guy with the stone jaw or the red goggles killer!" She exclaimed.

Before Tanner could open his mouth to complain to her sister for interrupting him he was cut off yet again, this time by Annie.

"How do you think we can help?"

Before Marie could reply, it was his turn to cut her off.

"Perhaps a song is in order?"

"Sure! We can do that, aslong as its not too extreme." chuckling at her own comment.

"Yea, we can sing a song or two with you little pals."

The duo soon came up the stage, soon followed by the ghostly twins, everyone getting into position and turning on an abandoned working speaker at the very end on the left part of the stage.

"Alright, SHOW US WHAT YOU'VE GOT!" The twins exclaimed, and they all started singing together.

Half an hour has passed and the song ended, the sound of thunder was heard reminding them all of the rain once again.

"Well, that was certainly fun!" Tanner exclaimed, preventing the sound of the rain from engulfing the room for long.

"Yea! Thanks for ya help you guys!!"

"No problem, it really was a lot of fun! Right Garcy?"

"Mhm, thanks for the singing little pals." Garcello agreed.

"Well, we'll be going now!" Tanner said, as both twins waited for a few minutes for something to happen, only to be met by the hopeful stares of both Annie and Garcello, and the sound of thunder outside the building once again.

"Uh-" Marie said trying to think of an explanation, only to be interrupted by a disappointed looking Tanner.

"Marie, you said this time it would work!"

"Give it a few seconds Tan!"

"NO! We have just wasted our time again! You have no clue what your talking about!!" He yelled, anger in his voice.

"Stop being such a downer!! It's your fault for not trusting me!" Marie replied, now getting mad as well.

"MY fault?!"

Annie tremble at the sudden change of mood so she hid behind Garcello as he tried to calm down both twins, only the fail miserably at the very second he tried speaking.

"Uh, littl-"

"HUSH" The twins yelled at them, as a second more intense song started to play.

The song ended, another half an hour passed and the rain seemed to have started calming down, too bad the same can't be said towards the ghostly twins, as they both grew angrier at eachother.

"Look, this is going nowhere, lets just-"

"NO!! This HAS to work now, I'm sure of it!" She interrupted him yet again, which pissed Tanner even more than he already was.

"Marie, could you stop interrupting me and listen?! Like because you're 4 minutes older, doesn't mean you have to boss me around all the time!"

Marie took offence at his comment, also getting even madder as well.

"ME?! Bossy?! YOU'RE the one that is always complaining so why don't you stop being upset and give this a chance?!

Garcello and (mostly) Annie were now the ones trembling at the ghostly twins constantly arguing some more with eachother. Annie grabbed Garcello's hand out of panic and turned and looked at him, fear in her eyes.

"Garcy, we have to stop them! What do we do?!" She asked him in a panic tone.

Garcello looked at the twins who were STILL arguing then back at Annie, then suddenly got an idea. He took a cig from one of his pockets, and smoked as much as he could, inhaling a lot and exhaling a bit.

Annie immediately understood what he was doing, and covered her face with her hands as both Tanner and Marie slowly stopped arguing and looked at him dumbfounded.

"Is he really just going to smoke right in front of us at this time?" Marie asked in utter disbelief.

  "Yea! The aud-"

POOF

Glowing smoke suddenly filled the area, illuminating the once dark opera room, Tanner and Marie were startled and both looked around their surroundings in shock, they soon snapped out of their little trance as they suddenly heard coughing.

"Oh no, our guests! Tan-"
"I know, I know, I'm looking!" He said worried while floating and looking for both their visitors.

They both looked around for a bit before eventually finding Annie, despite her being short, she was easy to find due to her dark outfit in the bright mist.
( She has her look in Animal but the size she has is from the first songs such as Good Enough).

"Are you alright?" They both asked in sync, as Annie just nodded.

"Phew, I'm glad."  Marie sighed in relief.
"Wait, where's the other one?" Tanner asked.

Just then, a hand was placed on top of Marie and Tanner, making them suddenly turn around in shock.

It was Garcello, but he looked quite different, he was now taking a form of a bright teal and white ghost.
"Oh gosh, did we kill him?!"

"Uh, no, not at all little pals." Garcello replied.
"Yea! He rarely does that, but he does! Annie said smiling.

"Well, that's a relief, but his do you do that?" Marie asked.

"His cigarettes made him so, and oh look! The rain finally stopped!" Said Annie.

"I'm guessing it's time for you two to go then?" Tanner asked.

Garcello nooded. "But we will be sure to visit again." He said.

"Very well, and thanks for helping us anyways! It may have not worked as planned but it sure was fun singing with you both!"
Said Marie in delight as Tanner nodded.

Garcello and Annie waved goodbye to their new friends and went their way back home, they will be sure to come back to visit them and maybe even bring some games for all of them to play and hang out.

It was a good day, and nothing could go wrong.

Oh, and thanks for recommending! I'm still not done with this story although I forgot to ask, would you like Annie and Garcello to stay as friends or more for part 2?
