Annabeth's POV

" wait a minute do I know you" he asked

I was nervous since I hoped he wouldn't recognize me.

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding then I told him

" do you know who I am, I believe we have met before"

" you seem familiar but I don't really know who you are"

" Wait a second here, i will be back"

I knew exactly what to do so that he could recognize me.

Flashback( a few months ago)

I walked out of the kingdom and into the village wearing a cape with a hood so that no one would recognize me. At one pint i put my hood down just for a while, and then a rebel attacked me. Just as he did so I immediately put my hood back up but it was too late. Then, I saw this young man my age with black hair and sea green eyes walking and then he saw the rebel attacking me so he fought the rebel than beat him.

" Are you alright?" He asked me

" Yes I am, but are you alright? You could have gotten yourself killed"

" I am fine and I am glad you are too. You have beautiful grey eyee. Can you put your hood down so i can see who you are?"

I never got to thank him or say anything because I heard a few guards from the palace patrolling the village.

" I am sorry but I have to go, bye" then I ran off into the wind

End of Flashback

I got the same cape that i used and I walked down towards him, I put my hood up before he could see that it was me

I walked into the room and then when he saw me he gasped then I put my hood down revealing who I was.

" It was you. I knew i had seen those eyes before" he said

" Yes it is, and I never got the chance to thank you"

He kept looking at the door waiting for someone

" Is there anyone you are waiting for?" I asked him

" Do you think the princess is going to come anytime soon. I am supposed to meet here but she isn't here"

At that I laughed. I couldn't believe how oblivious this guy is

" Why are you laughing?" He said annoyed

" Allow me to introduce myself. I am Princess Annabeth of Ogygia"

At this his eyes widened with realization and i had to smile

" Oh, i am so sorry...you majesty"he said then bowed

" Please don't bow to me, i know you are supposed to but I hate it. I am a human just like everyone else"

He chuckled, " Its just that from what i heard from other people is that the princess is a brat and she wears puffy dresses and a lot of makeup. so when i saw you I thought maybe you were her sister or friend" he said looking embarrassed

" sadly, many people wish i was formal. But I only put a little bit of makeup and wear simple dresses unless my mom forces me to wear big ones" I said while smiling, " Sometimes, I wear a long dress and underneath it I am barefoot for the whole day and no one realizes"

He laughed at this, " I didn't introduce myself yet, i am Percy Jackson. Also, I am glad you didn't turn out who I thought you were" At this we both laughed

" it was an honor to meet you your highness" he said

" likewise,but please call me Annabeth when we are alone"

" Ok" he said then he walked out.

Time lapse

After I had talked to everyone, i realized that there were a few that were just here for the crown like Matt and I didn't feel a connection. So, I decide, that I was going to eliminate 5 men.
