Annabeth's POV:

   We started to play. Each of us girls had to pick a man to defend. Clarisse went on Leo, Piper on Jason, Thalia on Frank and i ended up going on Percy. The ball started  with us so i dribbled the ball, did a crossover and then I passed it to Thalia who shot and scored. 

        Then the ball was with the boys, Leo passed it tot Jason who did a behind the back then to Percy who shot then scored. I had to admit, they were pretty god at basketball, but they weren't good enough to beat us.

      The match continued like that, and at one point we said that we would stop at the first to 30 points( 1 basket is 2 points). 

       When it was 16-14 for the boys, Leo had the ball and was about to shoot when Clarisse jumped on top of him, and they both fell on the ground. then, Clarisse took the ball from a squished Leo and passed  it to piper who scored. 

    " Hey, that isn't fair!!" Leo said

   " Dude, that was hilarious" Percy said. Frank, Jason, and Percy were still laughing whenn thalia said

  " You just got pummeled by a 9 year old girl. That was one cool move Clarisse" then they high fives each other.

  " Come on, lets continue. we are 2 baskets away from beating you guys" I said

" Who says we wont get their first" Percy exclaims

    After 7 min of intense playing, the score was 18-18. Whoever scored the next basket would win. 

At one point, percy had the banal and was going to score. I had to come up with a quick plan, because I was not going to loose to some boys. i thought of the simplest plan. I had to distract him. So i did what i knew would distract a boy best.

             Just as he was about to shoot, I came up from behind him and kissed him on the cheek.

 Percy was so surprised that he just stood there shocked for a few seconds. In that time. I stole the ball, dribbled and scored. Percy was still standing there shocked while all of us were laughing at him.

       " Yah, we won, so..IN YOUR FACE LOOSERS." Clarisse screamed

      " But that isn't fair.. She cheated" Percy said

     At that we all started laughing because he sounded like a child whining over loosing a game.

          " That was a smart move, Annie" Piper said

       " First of all, don't call me Annie.  Second of all, I knew that was the only thing that would distract a boy from an intense match of basketball." I said smirking

     "Ok,ok, you win. what do you want us to do since you won" Jason said

    " Ooh, this is a tricky one. The girls and I will meet in my room for a while. You guys just go do whatever you want." I said

   " Ok, lets go" Piper said

   When we arrived to my room, Piper began to explain what happened to Hazel, Calypso and Lucy. They had become close friends to Thalia and Piper since we always hang out with eac other in my room. 

   " oooh, looks like Annabeth here likes someone" hazel said

  " A particularly hot and cute someone" Piper said then giggled

" Ughh, I don't care about boys...but this case does sound interesting" she said hesitantly 

" You guys do know that even if I allowed it you aren't allowed to be with any of  them since they are in the selection, right?" I said. But deep inside me, I knew that what Piper said was true. percy was very hot and good looking. But did I like him..? I don't know yet

" Just admit it. You like him" PIper said

" I don't, besides it is too early to tell. i just met him." I said

" I thought this was the same boy that you met when you secretly went to town" Hazel said, forgetting she was supposed to keep it a secret. " Wait..oops" she said 

" Uhh Hazel!!" I said

" wait a second, what in the world are you two talking about" Piper asked

" Yes, I would like to know more about this myself" said a familiar voice
