*Standoff*

                The next day (third day) there were signs of improvement on my mate and her brother, Levi had called me over from the pack house that they were waking up. My legs carried me over before I could think straight.

               My wolf took the shift running straight to my house, anxious to finally see my mate's human self to gaze into her eyes and complete the mate bond.

At the moment only the scent was marked that she was mine, we needed eye contact or body contact to complete the pull.

My wolf gave me back my skin, I found cloths before rushing up the stairs.

I storm my way inside the room not caring about the three extra people there my focus mainly on the bed.

I watch blue green orbs flutter slowly, Chris had his hand in his squeezing tightly while he cried silently.

"Harrs!!!"

He groaned loudly.

"Chris?"

I watch the brothers hug, they really were identical yet different at the same time. It took sometime before he got settled sitting upright with help from each other.

Then slowly his guard was raised high and strong as his eyes inspected each of us taking his time.

"Err? Chris? Where are we?"

His features harden showing no sign of a naive child.

"We are at the Apex pack, that there is Alpha Raphael Garmon and his brother Beta Diego, he's Ann Marie's mate"

His eyes widen

"Marie? Holly shit!!"

Marie zoomed pass her mate to his side, her blue orbs staring down at him in worry

"Hi Harry"

He was still expression his shock.

"Like shit what a bull buzer"

He look like a heartbroken lover.

She looked confused wanting him to elaborate more but he turned his attention back to the me.

(His first thought were just as Chris's were intimidating. He could feel the power oozing out of him in waves yet he stared into his hard grey eyes, the opposite of disrespect or oblivion to the power house).

"Thank you Alpha Garmon for having us here and congratulations to you Beta Garmon and Marie, I do hope for your sake you treat her like a doll"

"Oh Harry! You cute little brother"

Marie shrieked finally getting what was happening amongst the brothers, the blush was quick to spread from her cheeks to her neck.

The teared steak pain on both the brothers faces was priceless, Diego's eyes shifted gold before grabbing Marie away from the laughing brothers.

The lad Harries sent a respectful nod my way which I returned.

"How are you feeling?" Chris asked changing the topic back to his health.

"Like shit, did you make that stuff?"

The boy shook before nodding his head in guilt, shame heavy shackle on his shoulder.

"We have got to destroy it, like shit its worst that make your prick grow longer portion"

Everybody gave an outrageous cough at his bluntness, while I raised a brow.

'He was definitely the loud mouth'.

"I'm sorry"

Chris was filled with more guilt.

"It's okay dude, once again the Mcvincis defeats death",

Harries was so casual with the way he said it with a shrug. He had accepted a lot of things while growing up. He might be the immature or the wild one in the family but he was affectionate and was always ready to coach them forward.

I found them more interesting, not even the strongest men were like that.

"It's all my fault Harrs, I'm so sorry"

He nodded before moving his gaze to his left where on that side of the bed the pure silky black wolf slept.

"Why is Anna still in her wolf form?"

"She was given Venom X Harrs and more of that she's in that state again, we have to......."

"I know the drill Chris. Anna, hey Anna wake up"

This got us more curious and alarmed. What state were they talking about? Was my mate in any danger?

"You sound like this had happen before"

               Levi step forward stopping his rough jerking of her form, he was extremely curious which was what he had become since the family arrived at the pack.

"And you are?"

His eyes peeved at him in boredom, it was quite unusual that his gaze made Levi unconsciously stand straighter.

"Doctor Levi Jones, pack doctor"

He nodded once.

"Right"

He drugs the word with an unimpressed look. Watching them from the sidewalk had me intrigued

"Our lives aren't a bed a roses doc, so how long has she been out?"

His robe was monotone, completely daring.

"Two days", he answered.

His feature cracked.

"Oh shit; that's not good. Chris have you given her the dosage?"

"Yeah, about an hour ago"

"Give her another one"

"Excuse me but I don't think that's a good idea"

You could see from the veins appearing on Harries neck that he was annoyed, little frinkle of hair that only wolfs eyes could see were sprouting at a slow rate.

"She's my sister doc, I know what am doing"

Levi shared a look with me requesting an order. Instinct told me to trust the boys so I nodded my approval which Harries scoffed at. Knowing his temperament, He would have given her with or without it.

Next the brothers stared at each other in communication before gently shaking the wolf their affection for her was clear with how they roused her golden eyes open.

"Hi Annie"

She whimper out in pain wanting to fall back to sleep, slowly her eyes dropped only to jerk open at Harries's demanding tone.

"No, Anna we need you to change back"

She cried louder shaking her head.

"Come on Annie, you are the strongest person I know please change back, I need you"

             It took several hours her shift was slow, her moans of pain was disturbing to the ears, I had to hold on to something to stop myself from grabbing her into my arms where I knew she would be the safest yet even I knew that wouldn't help her current situation.

Ann Marie couldn't stomach it she had rushed to the bathroom to throw up, her mate chasing after her to ensure she was okay.

After more painful minutes, the noise stopped.

I could feel my steel grey eyes widen at the image in front of me. It was better than the picture I saw or the painting.

I could boldly say that my mate was beautiful, even my wolf agreed with me, despite her sweaty body, bird new hair and droopy eyes.

She had long sliky black hair that covered up her front, they were wet in sweat, her face was pale looking but still pretty, her eyes the brightest sky blue, they looked tired but had much life still in them.

Like lightening our eyes locked starting the bond and completing the pull.

But those said blue eyes rolled back to the back of her head.

Levi was a panicked mess, I couldn't stop myself from matching towards her side slowly whispering the sweet word 'mate'.

Harries had a frown confused by our concern towards them mostly his sister, and the word 'mate', I could bet his mind was spinning wondering why strangers from foreign pack act the way we do.

"She's fine, she just needs to sleep it off"

Levi still checked her eyes with a small torch light, he rose turning his focus to the twins especially Harries who looked like he would attack any moment.

"Excuse me but her report just came in and it said she has silver in her system may I please know what is in the dosage you gave her?"

The brothers shared a look again, Chris shook his head as though he was answering a silent question which Harries sighed at. He answered begruntly.

"Its pain killer with anti silver and glucose with other chemicals, it helps with the pain when she goes through a hellish day"

Pausing a beat to take a deep breath, he continued.

"I know by now you all saw the cuts on her hands and the old scars, and Marie and Chris have told you guys little bit of info well to sum it all up, Alpha poison Anna on a regular basic so he could easily break her"

"Chris made the antidote to help with her pain or when she's about to go rogue, it helps a little in getting her to wake then she flushes out the silver herself"

Chris took over, "So far the dosage she has been getting from Alpha and our dosage it has made Annie immune to silver, the only problem we couldn't save is her will or how long she gives total control to her wolf"

There was a deadly silence as the word took its time registering into us.

A silence so sharp it could cause a disaster. It was broke by a feminine sob.

"Oh my god!!! poor Anna!",

Marie wailed, looking pale and helpless at the now unconscious girl covered in thick blankets.

            Harries and Chris had been so protective they sneakily hid her naked body from view when she fainted.

I was pleased by this, letting out ragged breath while listening in to more horror about the life of my mate.

Never had my blood boiled so hot, never had the intent to kill been so strong  never had my bloodlust been so fierce. There are no words to describe the anger and frustration that I am feeling right now.

"She'll be fine, she's tougher than she looks"

Harries tried to cheer Marie up while looking down at his sister like a worries mother.

             Levi lets out a pained breath before voicing out. The information was a struggle but enough for him to be of more help.

"Do not worry yourselves, Apex pack is filled with the necessary research to help you but for now while you both recover I will be taking over in treating Luna Garmon"

"Luna? You mean Anna? Wait you don't mean?"

It finally click on Harries, and his reception was the opposite of Chris

"Oh he's Annie's mate"

              Chris was wide eyes with a smirk on his face, his eyes darted to me before landing back on his brother a silent message between them.

Harries had started to shift, his eyes were glowing silver, fangs were slowly coming out.

We all panicked at his premature shift.

"No Harrs calm down, Annie is safe he hasn't touched her, he's been helping you both get better"

Chris cries desperately in calming him down. The rest of us didn't move but watch helplessly.

"He better not lay a hand on her or I swear I will do much worst than what I do to Drake"

He snarled no longer caring he was speaking disrespectful to an Alpha in his pack.

But I was more furious over the fact that another man had touched what was mine. I couldn't stop the growl or my wolf from taking over my mind.

He wanted blood for his female, wanted to go back to her old pack and kill them all.

"Calm down brother, leave those thoughts for later"

Sensing my turmoil it was my brother's turn to try calm the rampant beast shaking his shackles inside of me. Diego reasoned with us that we didn't need a blood bath now not until after getting to the bottom of it.

My gaze locked with guarded blue green eyes that stared fearlessly back at me. You got to love the kid's bravery. Not everybody could look into the Apex Alpha's eyes that long.

"Harry calm down, they are mates he would never hurt her"

Marie pleaded with the lad.

He mocked her with his gaze rolling them while scoffing out loud.

"Harrs I know you don't like it but it really is up to Anna"

Chris tried to reason, only he understood the anger in his twin, he felt it too but choose not to show it now, he would be watching, he had promised himself that he would no longer let their sister go through anymore pain.

Harries finally calmed a little, smirking at me.

"Ohhh!!!!! this gonna be good!!"

I lifted an eyebrow confused at his sudden change, knowing only him and his twin understood the meaning behind those words.

But for now it was the calm before the storm.

              Levi had checked Harries for any other signs which he had fussed about, Diego had left to attend to some pack problems, soon Levi left also after he give a clear green to his condition.

"Alpha Garmon I have only one request I wish from you"

After moments of silence and eating of breakfast, Harries spoke out after realizing that I had no plan of leaving the room despite his numerous murderous glares and growls.

From my corner not far from the bed I watched.

"I'm listening"

I was curious to find out more about the lad that had a wild character, one who was bold to show his displeasure of me and now has a request to ask.

Harries breath out, looking up to stare daringly back at my eye, all playfulness or cockiness gone but in replace a vengeful soul.

"I hope that when the time comes my brother and I will be the one to take the life of a certain maggot named Tyler Cornell, Alpha is all your but Tyler is ours"

Marie gasped out loud at the request.

"Harry!!! how can you say such thing? Anna will never approve of this"

"Well she's gonna have to suck it up. I want that bastard's blood"

Chris snapped out.

"Chris!!!! You too"

          My smoldering gaze eyes studying them a low rumble resounded from my chest in approval. My mate had train these pups well now under my care I could make warriors out of them. I smiled inwardly because that also meant that my future heirs were in good hands.

"You have my word"
