CH 11
*ESCAPE*
P.S
I WOULD LOVE IT IF YOU GUYS COULD HELP ME GET A DRAWING/PICTURE OF ANNABELLE'S PAINTING,
LOVE YOU.
A week before the Royal assembly the pack had been in an hurried blur.
The boys and I had done most of the work working on our light show for the gallery and trying hard to make the pack look presentable.
The Royal assemble was the coming together of all Alphas and the king where they discuss peace and toast to their brotherhood, sell off their goods for certain amounts.
It had been taking place in other packs until this year when Alpha got to organize, he was spending no less for this event, working the pack till it was bankrupt in hopes that this event will give him extra.
If you ask me I'd say that was an horrible plan, our pack was known to be rich in technology and raw materials, creativity was also blossom here, but not all these could sell for the amount he was hoping for his greedy pockets.
On the day of the event, the hall booked for this event was transformed into a fairy tail, it was decorated in various colors that I could ever imagine could fit inq one place.
The guests had started arriving, looking glamorous in their fluffy gown and tuxedos.
I imagined myself in the dance floor, dressed in a beautiful yellow gown dancing my way off the night.
I sigh blissfully at my wishful dream, an unusual trait I had.
"Hey Anna, get your head out of the clouds and down here"
Harries called from below the chandelier I was on.
I didn't even realize I was lost in my thoughts, after fixing some few screws I climbed down.
"Where's Chris?"
Harries had to pause his rewiring before answering me.
"He said he got some things to do and you should put down your mother hen worriworth attitude and wait for him"
I blinked, my brow knitted.
"He said that?"
Harries smirked back,
"Nah that was me but he did say he had stuff to do and would be back soon"
"He shouldn't stick that far, we have to stay together"
"Don't worry, he remember the plan"
I nodded while not helping myself by worrying, my wolf has mostly been on edge.
A figure behind the curtain attracted my attention, I felt compelled to see just who.
He had always striked me as a dashing man, muscular tall with an aura of manly arrogance. The incident a few week back was a snap to the final thread that held whatever friendship we had.
The Tyler I knew back then was no more instead there stood a monster with an intent to kill me. Our childhood memories were now nightmares that haunts me.
I watched his movements, he belonged there in the sea of great Alphas, he had every lady turning their eyes towards him. He would have been perfect if his heart was pure.
"Annie?"
Reluctantly I removed my gaze from Tyler when I had this sudden urge to look at the face of the man he was approaching, All I could get was his cream colored suit back and gelled auburn hair.
"Yeah?"
Chris stared at me with concern in his eyes along with a look I didn't have time to uncover.
"You okay?"
That I wasn't too sure, my wolf has been acting so weird it was making my head spin.
"Yeah I'm fine, its just my wolf"
He nodded back in affirmative probably at my glowing eyes.
"When was the last time you shifted?"
"Last night, it's probably anxiety. Are we all set?"
Harries gave us his utmost attention.
"Yeah, all that is left is your part"
We were ready.
We headed towards the exist making it look like we were actually obeying Alpha's order and going home to lock ourselves there.
Just before the exist we went into a door where my canvas was wrapped.
"Sweet! we finally get to see the Mcvinci's master piece"
"Or you mean Anna Annie's master piece"
I smirked at Harries who returned it back.
Because we were in charge of the decorating we had placed my art piece amongst the others to be viewed for display.
The twins audible gasps were enough boost to my ego.
After much thoughts and inspiration I finally decided on what I was going to paint, I called it 'emotions'
There was a black wolf on a cliff, it was as dark as the night, it was humongous, its limbs were thick. The moon light pouring down on it made it look terrifying, down below the cliff was a sea of colored wolves each painted in their true essence. There were wolves fighting each other, wolves leading small groups, wolves digging the ground, wolves howling to the moon, wolves looking vicious.
But what caught everybody's attention was the black slick small wolf that was directly below the cliff, it was painted calm, and sad, its head was facing upwards to the moon, it was neither howling nor doing anything just staring hoping that the moon would shine her light on her and give her her own emotion.
"Wow! Anna , you really went all out",
Harries whispered as they walked backwards away from the gallery to hide. They had chosen a specific spot that would hide them from view, but allow them to see outside.
"I had to", my reply was a mild whisper.
"We are so going to win", Chris cheered.
One would have thought that since our uncle was an Alpha we shouldn't have gone ahead with our plan and just went with him once he arrived at this function, but the thing is I don't want to take my chances.
What if he was like Alpha?, what if it backfires?. We were still part of this pack and under Alpha's rule. He could just claim it as his pack business, either way we will just have to know when we reach his pack.
The ball started the moment the werewolf king arrived. I was really hoping the prince would come, I had had rumours of how down to earth he was and how unique his amethyst eyes were which was rare amongst wolves.
It wasn't easy being there, there were times where we almost got caught up especially when Alpha became more tense when more wolves arrived.
Our fingers were crossed in hopes that he doesn't send anybody to our house, even if he did we had aired the house to make it smell like we were really inside that is unless the person decides to either knock or enter the house then we were doom.
At the struck of 10, the extinbition for the art gallery commenced, our fingers were tightly clenched the moment buyers started bidding. We almost bailed ourselves out the higher my painting went and it was mostly from the auburn haired man Tyler had been sitting with.
I knew something was wrong the moment Tyler's feature changed angrily.
Does he recognize that it was my painting?.
"We have to go"
I said the words slowly, my eyes still on Tyler.
"Hold on a sec they are about to finalize the winner"
Tyler's glare was directly on my painting , I had to narrowed my eyes to realize that he was boring dagger at my signature drawn below the painting or in more specific 'Annie'
"We need to go right now"
My word came out forced, my panic on high alert.
"What's wrong Anna?"
Just then Tyler turned his head our way his eyes landing straight at me.
He smiled.
He knows.
I didn't explain but grabbed both my brothers out the door running towards the exist like my life depended on it.
"Anna...."
Harris shut up when he also noticed the wolves heading our way.
Shit, shit, shit, no this can't be happening.
We ran.
There were men chasing us, we didn't bother to catch our breaths but continued running.
The exists was guarded that left the windows. If we could just reach one we could escape through them and run to the jeep.
Tyler knows and I was going to pay.
The moon has never answered my prayers, she had never saved me from crisis like this but still I still hoped she would.
"Ahhhh Anna!"
They came from nowhere like they knew we will want to escape through here, men I have never seen separated us from one another.
Pure panic was in our eyes as we fought against them.
"2.5 million dollars was what you won, Anna Annie"
The fight in me died down at the sound of my nightmare.
"You made a very big mistake Annabelle one you will pay dearly"
Every cell in my body coiled up, I felt dread in the pit of my stomach just thinking about it.
The twin were struggling fruitlessly to come to me but I'd rather it be me than them.
"My father promised you a live observation Alpha Gregory, well you are about to see it"
My eyes widen.
A man I have never seen dressed in an Italian suit joined Tyler, his eyes went from my brothers before landing longer on me.
"She's beautiful, can I have her?"
I felt my blood drain, my eyes glow at what he was implicating.
I'd rather kill him than let his filthy hands touch me.
"No"
His green eyes locked with my blue ones, his were filled with burning hatred.
"She belongs to me"
Tyler has never used that tone ever before. Who was this man standing in front of me.
Movement from my left gave me my answer.
"No Tyler please no not him please no"
He was a nightmare, my very own demon.
He reveal a syringe with red and black chemicals in it. The needle was big and was inserted into Harries's neck.
I didn't know I was screaming until Chris's cries registered to me.
The pain I felt didn't register to me until I was running towards Harries quivering body.
Whatever Tyler had given him was causing him pain, his screams were more than haunting to my ears.
"Stop this, Please enough"
I spat blood from the slap he landed on me.
I will take it, I will take it all if he just stop.
"This is your punishment"
His voice was filled with venom as it caress my cheek before followed by a pain so blindly it rendered me useless.
My body landed on the ground with a thud, my cries were so loud I bet they echoed through the walls.
Why does my last moment have to be in pain.
Why must I die broken?.
It was like slow motion as I watched shiny black shoes moving towards a traumatized Chris.
I failed them. I failed my parents.
I was just so tired. I succumbed to the darkness to sleep.
My wolf arose from my slumber, forcing my paralyzed body to shift. She didn't wait a minute before lunging.
She was dead set on getting her revenge, getting her frustration and pain back on Tyler.
Tyler's blonde wolf and mine engaged in a fight.
We were both equal in power, but Tyler was more experienced and wasn't broken like me.
That didn't stop my wolf, she fought with everything she had taking delight in spilling his blood. She didn't stop.
Tyler finally had enough cuts on his body, he lets out a deep murderous growl before biting hard on my neck.
My life was draining out of my neck.
He was trying to force out the submission I didn't give a damn to give.
My teeths found his ear biting harder not even bothering how deep his teeths were going into my neck.
It ends now.
I didn't care about my life at that moment all I care about was ending his and getting my brothers out of there.
My claws found his wolf's chest, scratching at the tender skin.
My wolf's eyes closed for a second only to see a blur.
Tyler was taken away from me while in place a reddish brown wolf was fighting him.
For a moment I thought I was imagining things, the cries of panicking from Tyler told me that much.
My wolf finally took notice of her environment. Wolves were fighting other wolves. Worry immediately set in, she searched for Chris.
She found him breathing heavily through his shift, Ann Marie was with him protecting his body from the fight.
My wolf was with me in not fully trusting her but now wasn't the time to be a judge.
She felt him before he appeared, her paws were racing towards her other sibling who happened to be closer to him.
She didn't think but took a protective stand in front of Harries, weak growls left her chest. She may be injured but hell she was ready to put up a fight with him if it meant protecting her family.
Alpha's eyes glowed golden, his wolf not liking my defiance.
His eyes scanned the fight, growls rolled out of him in waves.
"Enough!!"
My eyes never left him, my tongue went through my fangs in preparation.
"Alpha Garmon, what is the meaning of this?"
My wolf's eyes found a man who tossed Tyler's naked body aside as though he weighted nothing, he was soaked in blood.
My nostril twisted before my whole body froze up, both my wolf and I.
This man had grey eyes and auburn hair and he was staring straight into my eyes.
"Wrong. The question Alpha Cornell is why was your son attacking my mate?".
Finally he's here (^v^) who is ready for more action?.
