Chapter 12

Anna and Harry sat by the fire, discussing lesson plans for the DA meetings. It had been almost a week before the previous meeting and so far, everything had fallen into place.

"I think we should do patronuses, I mean, I think they'll enjoy learning-"

"Anna, do you know how advanced that is? I think we should do something else-"

"Well, didn't you learn how to cast a patronus only in third year?"

"Yeah, but I'm me," Harry said with an arrogant smirk. Anna just rolled her eyes.

"I'm debating whether or not I should smack you with that nearby copy of the Prophet right now."

"I would really appreciate it if you didn't."

"Mhmm, I'll take your wish into account," she said with a small laugh. "Okay, what lesson do you want to do?"

"Maybe-" the door to the boy's dorms opened and Harry stopped talking. The two turned around and saw Seamus Finnigan, hair messy and in button-down pajamas. Before Harry could make a snarky comment, Anna smiled sweetly at him.

"Hello Seamus," she said nicely, ignoring the grudge deep within her. He sat in the worn armchair next to the couch that currently seated Anna and Harry.

"Look, I'm really sorry about what I had said... I believe you two and I know it must have been really hard to have all of that happen...and I really didn't help... I'm just really sorry, and I hope you can find it in your nice heart to forgive me," Seamus made sure to talk mostly to Anna, considering the fact she would be ten times more likely to accept his apology than Harry. Of course, it worked.

"Okay...you're forgiven... Right Harry?" Anna said, making sure to strain her voice at that last part and nudged Harry. He gave a sigh.

"Yeah, I guess..."

"And I was wondering if...well..."

"You want to join the DA, don't you?" Harry asked boredly. Seamus gave a sheepish smile.

"Yes...but if you don't want me to then that's okay..."

"Come tomorrow for the meeting. It's in the Room Of Requirement."

"Which is?"

"And that is for you to figure out. Night Seamus," Anna said with a smirk. He gave a sigh and a nod before stumbling tiredly up the stairs.

"Can I ask why you let him join?" Harry asked irritably.

"Because there's no point in holding a grudge... And besides, if we didn't let him join, he could have told Umbridge about the DA since he somehow knows about it..."

"Okay, you're right..." Harry admitted and as if on cue, the clocked chimed once, indicating that it was one in the morning.

"Since we have classes tomorrow, I think it's best that we get to bed."

"Okay, but what are we doing for the meeting tomorrow?"

"That's up to you...surprise me. I love you," she said, giving Harry a quick kiss and a smile before going up to her dorm.

But Harry didn't go up to his dorm. He sat on the couch instead, trying to think. How was Voldemort going to attack this year? And why was Anna suddenly so calm about everything? It was like she didn't have a worry in the world. Just these thoughts brought him the insane anger transmitted by Voldemort. But what Harry didn't know is that Anna was twice as worried. Worried about Harry. Worried about the fate of the school. Worried about Voldemort. Of course she had learned how to put up a mental barrier against Voldemort, unlike Harry.

Before he knew it, his eyes felt heavy and started dozing off. Of course he didn't want to fall asleep on the couch so he picked himself up and trudged up the stairs, about to enter the terrible nightmares created by Voldemort.
***********
Harry shot up in his bed, breathing heavily, his eyes darting around the room.

"Um...you okay there mate?" Ron asked awkwardly, sitting on the edge of his bed and giving Harry a worried look.

"Y...yeah...it was just one of Voldemort's visions..."

"Just one of Voldemort's visions? Again? Harry, you have them almost every night, you need to talk to Dumbledore-"

"Yeah, okay, I'll do that because he will definitely help me," Harry said sarcastically, his temper rising. Of course Ron wasn't that smart and snapped back.

"You're the one that has said multiple times that Dumbledore is the bravest man you've even known. And you've said that he's wise and can help with anything. I can understand Anna not wanting to see him about any problems, but when it's coming from you, it's very hypocritical," Ron said and Harry gave an annoyed laugh.

"And of course you're going to defend Anna."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well you're always trying to make it a point to defend or help her-"

"Because that's what friends do. And besides, she saved our lives countless times-"

"And I haven't?"

"Well...not exactly..."

"If it wasn't for me Voldemort would've come back in first and second year. I don't remember Anna helping much when she was possessed and in the chamber. And you weren't there, but I killed Quirrel and Voldemort-"

"Look, I was just giving you a suggestion to talk to Dumbledore, I didn't mean to start an argument," Ron said, unable to mask the bit of annoyance in his voice.

"Whatever, you don't know what you're talking about anyways."

"I don't? So the fact that I am always fighting alongside you means nothing? You think I'm clueless? Well, I might not be in Ravenclaw, but I'm not stupid."

"Ron-"

"You know what? I'm not in the mood to argue any more with you right now. Once you're able to stop being such a git, then you can come find me," Ron said, and with that, he turned on his heel and left the dorm.

Harry sat on the edge of his bed and put his head in his hands. He kept letting Voldemort's anger get the best of him. At this rate, he would be so hated that Malfoy wouldn't even bully him. He quickly shook the thoughts out of his head and got ready for the day. When he was done, he opened the door to the common room, but quickly closed it most of the way when he saw Anna and Ron talking on the couch.

"...I can't stand it anymore Anna, he's so irritable all of the time."

"Ron, I know... It isn't his fault... But you shouldn't try to provoke him-"

"Are you serious? I didn't provoke him, he just snapped on me!"

"I highly doubt he snapped without any reason whatsoever Ronald," Anna said, her eyes narrowed. Ron reddened and looked down.

"I'm sorry, but-"

"But nothing! What Voldemort is trying to do is get all of Harry's friends to hate him so he will have to fight by himself-"

"That's ridiculous-"

"It's not, he did the same to me, but I fought against it as hard as I could. I don't give up easily... Just don't ditch him, and always be loyal. If you push him away, you're threatening the fate of the whole world, not just us," Anna finished, her face solemn. Ron gave a sigh and nodded.

"Things are really going to change, aren't they?" Ron whispered and Anna nodded. He embraced her and she buried her head into his shoulder.

There should have been steam coming out of Harry's ears at how angry he was. He knew that Ron still loved Anna and with his temper being a problem, Ron would be able to get her in an instant once she knew that he liked her. But no...she would stick with him no matter what. Right?

He heard Anna and Ron leave the common room, so he grabbed his bag and headed for class.
***********
"Make sure you hand in your essay tomorrow, class dismissed," McGonagall said and everyone crowded around the door, eager to leave for lunch. Harry strides out of the room, making sure to avoid everyone but of course failed since that one person ran to catch up with him.

"Harry, I need to talk to you," Anna pleaded, grabbing his arm. He jerked away.

"I'm not in the mood-"

"You never are, but guess what? I don't care, you can't get rid of me that easily. Come with me, I really need to talk to you."

"But...fine..." he sighed, as Anna was pulling him along already. They went to an abandoned corridor and Harry leaned against a wall, his arms crossed.

"Harry, you need to keep your temper under control."

"You're one to talk."

"No need to get sassy with me, jeez... Look, I heard you snapped on Ron today-"

"I know, I saw you two flirting in the common room this morning," Harry said through gritted teeth. Anna couldn't help but laugh.

"You're joking... Me, flirt with him?! How hilarious. And may I ask why you were eavesdropping? It wasn't even an important conversation-"

"And you're telling people to have sympathy on me? Well guess what, I don't need anyone's help or sympathy, especially yours. You just don't get it-"

"I don't get it? I was the one that was possessed, kidnapped, and tortured by him for three years! And I'm not telling people to have sympathy for you, I'm telling them to try understand that this isn't you! You're letting Voldemort take over and you're letting his plan go smoothly. I'm sorry I suck at being a girlfriend, but I'm only doing what's best for you. Don't blame me for your problems, just let me help you!" Anna exclaimed, tears in her eyes. She wasn't mad, she just was afraid he would let Voldemort take over completely... Harry just stared at her for a second, his own heart hurting. Just before Anna was going to turn to leave, he kissed her on the forehead and gave her a big hug.

"I'm sorry... Most of the time I don't even know when he's taking over and when I do, I don't even know how to stop it."

"You need to go to Dumbledore... He helped me, he'll do the same for you-"

"Maybe if he stopped ignoring me... I've tried, Anna. He won't even give me a second glance. It's like he doesn't even care anymore," Harry said sadly, his heart sinking as he spoke the truth. He admired Dumbledore so much, and it hurt that the headmaster wasn't there for him in these tough times. She put a delicate hand on his shoulder and gave a warm smile.

"He'll come around soon, I promise. There must be some reason he's being distant, we just have to trust his judgement."

"Ha, I never imagined you siding with Dumbledore."

"I'm just trying to be more open minded-" she quickly cut herself off when she heard heels clacking in the distance. "Umbridge...we should go, she'll give us detention," Anna hissed, grabbing Harry's hand. They ran down the corridor and to the Great Hall for lunch. Luckily, they made it without being seen. They sat at their usual spot, across from Ron and Hermione. Hermione greeted them while Ron threw a sharp glare at Harry. There was an awkward silence until Anna nudged Harry and glanced between him and Ron.

"Ron...I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier," Harry said awkwardly, but sincerity was evident in his voice. Ron nodded and gave a smile.

"It's fine mate. So, did you talk to Dumbledore yet?" Ron asked skeptically.

"Ron, I told you-"

"No, he hasn't yet. So, are you guys excited for the meeting tonight?" Anna asked and Ron shrugged.

"Sure, as long as Umbridge doesn't catch us-"

"Oh come on Ron, don't be ridiculous-"

"He's not being that ridiculous... Umbridge is bound to catch us... And when she does, all of us will be expelled," Hermione said irritably.

"Enough! We can't be scared of her. And even if she really did find out, she couldn't expel almost the whole Gryffindor house!" Harry shot back. Anna held back a smile, and Ron and Hermione rolled their eyes, but didn't respond. When the bell chimed, they left the Great Hall and went to class, making sure to ignore Umbridge's suspicious glance when walking by her classroom.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay everyone, I need to first give my most sincere apologies. I am so sorry I haven't been updating, and then I give you this boring and crappy filler chapter. I have writer's block so badly and no motivation or time anymore. Should I keep the series going? Should I just give up on wattpad completely? I doubt I even have any readers anymore considering the fact this looked like a dead story for a while.
Anyways, onto a happier note, it's been officially a year since I've started publishing on wattpad. I'm looking back and seeing the thousands of reads I have. I can't thank you all enough for supporting me and all, I really do appreciate it. I pushed myself to finish this chapter today because I knew I couldn't just not do anything on this special day. If you noticed, the chapter is in third person point of view. Is this a better way to write in comparison to my other chapters? Let me know in the comments what you like better.
Than you all so much, and as always, please vote, comment, follow, and just keep reading :)
