Anna's POV

It was seconds after I was in the arena when Norbert blasted a lot of fire at me. If I would have run a second later than I did, I would have been a nice piece of "Anna toast". He blew fire at me again, and this time I wasn't so lucky... The fire burnt almost my whole left arm. I screamed as the pain almost overcame me, and there were screams from the crowd.  My vision was starting to spot up, but I had to keep going. I saw Cedric in the tent, about to run out. I quickly shook my head at him and mouthed "no". He just nodded. When Norbert tried to shoot fire at me the third time, I dropped to the ground and was able to army crawl behind a rock. I could feel involuntary hot tears streaming down my face. I couldn't keep this up, I would never get the egg... I had to figure something out, and quick. He blew even more fire at me, and the rock was a pretty bad shield. Then, I had an idea. I mustered up all of the power and energy I had, whipped around and shot a huge amount of water out of my hands at the fire Norbert was blowing at me. It took a lot of my energy, but Norbert finally stopped. He walked closer to me, and I backed up. Of course, me being as clumsy as I am, I tripped over a rock. And layed there helplessly as Norbert towered over me. He leaned his head down, staring me dead in the eyes, about to finish me off.

"Norbert, please, it's me, Anna. Remember me from when you were born?" I pleaded, hoping he would understand me. It was ridiculous, but I was desperate at this point.

Anna Black?

"Yes, it's me. Please don't kill me, please don't kill me, please don't kill me," I just kept whispering over and over again, tears still streaming down my face. Norbert walked away, and then came back, with the egg in his mouth. He dropped it next to me.

"W...what?" I said, shocked. I couldn't believe it!

"AND ANNA BLACK IS IN THE LEAD, WITH GETTING THE EGG IN ONLY FIVE MINUTES!!!" Dumbledore yelled, anger evident in his voice.

"Thank you Norbert."

It's Norberta actually.

"Sorry."

It's okay. Now it's time for a ride.

"Wait...what?! No!" I exclaimed as Norberta picked me up and flung me in her back. Then I only had about two seconds to grab onto one of her spikes before she took off, breaking the chain like it was nothing and soaring into the air. It was even better than flying on Buckbeak. But my arm hurt so bad and was bleeding heavily. At this point, I didn't care. I was still alive, and I couldn't believe it.

"Yes, thank you so much!"

We need to land soon.

"Okay," I said breathlessly as we neared the arena. The crowd was in shock when I got off the dragon. But the teachers were furious. Before they could say anything, I ran into the tent so the crowd wouldn't see what was about to go down. But before the teachers could get to me, Cedric came over and gave me a huge hug.

"Are you okay Anna?"

"Pretty much except for my arm."

"Miss Black! Come over here!" Madame Pomfrey said, looking at my arm. I obeyed her and she gave me a bunch of potions and bandaged up my arm. It took a while and by the time she was done, Harry had gotten out of the arena with his golden egg. He ran over to me when he saw me.

"Anna, how-" Harry started saying, but was interrupted by all of the angry teachers coming towards me.

"Miss Black, do you know it's against the law to use the imperious curse, and that you could go to Azkaban?" Snape growled.

"Yeah, so? Wait...oh no..." I said, realizing why he said that. They probably thought that I used the imperious curse on the dragon...

"I will need your wand so we can check it to make sure you didn't use that curse."

"But I didn't! I swear!"

"We still need to check. And we'll be checking the dragon too. You better hope you're lucky."

"Lucky that you find out that I'm telling the truth? Look, why would I even-"

"We're not saying you did use the curse, we just need to check. No more argument," Dumbledore said sternly. I signed in frustration, rolled my eyes, and gave him my wand. The teachers walked away, muttering.

"Anna, what did you do in the arena?" Harry asked. I hesitated.

"Just meet me at the Black Lake at 10:00 tonight."

"Why can't you just-"

"Do you want to find out or not?!"

"Yes..."

"Then just meet me there! I...I'll see you later," I said, ticked off not really at him, but the stupid professors. Why didn't they believe me?! I walked out of the tent, trying to control my temper. I heard someone call my name, but I ignored them. Then, someone grabbed my arm and spun me around. It was Ron.

"Look, the last thing I need right now is for you to be a little piss off. Okay? So just leave me alone!" I yelled, my eyes turning red. He was taken aback.

"I...I was going to apologize..." He trailed off.

"Oh, um... I don't really have much to say... Look I'm sorry, I'm just really ticked off because now all of the professors and probably everyone else in the school thinks is used the imperious curse on the dragon. And I didn't! I swear! I just can't take this anymore!" I yelled, grabbing at my hair as if pulling it out.

"Anna, it's going to be okay-"

"NO ITS NOT, I'M NEVER OKAY! I FEEL LIKE I'M ALWAYS STUCK WITH EVEYONES PAIN AND BURDENS ALONG WITH MY OWN! Why can't I just have a normal life?" I whispered the last part. He just looked at me with sympathy. I don't exactly know why, but I just completely broke down. I started sobbing and Ron just held me.

"Anna, I just want you to know that I'm there for you-"

"No you aren't. Where were you for the past few weeks?"

"Well... I'm there for you now?"

"It doesn't matter, I'm used to it..."

"No, it's not in the way you think. I just need to tell you something."

"What?"

"I...I really like-"

"Anna, are you okay?" Draco asked, coming over. I turned to go back to the castle.

"I'll see you later Ron,"

"Wait, Anna-"

"I said I'll talk to you later," I said sternly and started walking quickly back to the castle. Of course, Draco was stubborn and followed me.

"Anna, just talk to me," he said. I whipped around and glared at him.

"Fine what do you want to talk about?! What is so freaking important?!"

"Um...I just want to apologize-"

"For the way you stabbed me in the back? How you're not telling me something that's obviously important? Well guess what? I don't even want to hear it!"

"Anna-"

"I'm done, just leave me alone," I said and stormed off. I went up to my dorm and slammed the door. I'm happy that I was alone. I was just so mad, and I didn't even completely know why... Mostly because of the whole tournament thing. Well, I guess I would just have to get through it... I just wished I had a normal, care-free life like most people do...
