12. BONDITA'S HEARTFELT CALL.
In Commissioner's Office
Commissioner in shock: Officer Anirudh.... Aap kya keh rahe hain... Aapko pata bhi hai....
Anirudh then sighed: Yes Sir... Mai janta hu.... Sir isme uski koi galti nahi hai..... Usne Jo bhi kiya hai.... Majboori me Kiya.... She is innocent.....
Commissioner then: Mujhe poori baat bataiye ki aap ko ye kyu lagta hai ki use chod dena chahiye....
Anirudh then sighed and told him everything what Ansh said.
The Commissioner then: Okay... Mai try karta hu....
Anirudh then: Thank you Sir... Aur... Ek request aur hai....
Commissioner: Yes??
Anirudh: Sir agar ho sake.... To please Ansh ko bhi bail se dijiye..... Uski age zyada nahi hai..... Kuch acchi job kar lega to..... Future sanwar jayega uska....
After sometime
Bondita was sitting inside when a lady constable came and opened the lock up: Uth Jaa teri bail hogayi hai.....
Bondita looked at her and asked: Kisne karayi hai humari bail....
The lady constable didn't hear her and went from there. Bondita stepped out and saw Ansh too coming out. She asked him: Ansh.... Teri bhi bail hui hai...??
Ansh nodded and said: Haa didi....
Bondita uttered confusingly: Par kisne karayi humari bail??...
Ansh then: Anirudh Bhaiya ne....
She looked at him surprised and said: Ye tu kya bol Raha hai Ansh... Anirudh Ji humari bail kyu karayenge...
Ansh then said: Didi wo Suman aur Ashish pakde gaye... Aur wo log jhoot bata rahe the humare bare me... To jo bhi sach tha ki wo log tumse zabardasti ye kaam karate the wo sab maine bata Diya unhe.... Isliye shayad unhone humari bail Kara di...
Bondita closed her eyes sighing as a lone tear escaped her eyes. She opened her eyes as the constable called them to sign the bail papers.
They both signed the papers and then Bondita asked: Anirudh Ji... Ka cabin kahan hai... Mujhe unse baat karni hai please....
The constable then said: Rukiye yahin aap... Mai Sir se pooch kar aata hu...
Bondita nodded as he left towards Anirudh's cabin.
He entered his cabin and said: Sir... wo ladki aapse milna chahti hai...
Anirudh sighed closing his eyes and then said: Theek hai... Bhejo andar....
The constable nodded left. He informed Bondita to go inside.
Bondita went inside and saw Anirudh standing facing his back to the door. She uttered in a heavy voice: Anirudh Ji...
Anirudh then acting rude: Ab kya hai....
Bondita then: Thank you so much...
Anirudh then in a cold voice: Ok... You can leave....
Bondita then: Anirudh Ji... Hum...
But he interrupted her: I said you can leave....
Bondita then sighed sadly and left wiping her tears.
Anirudh closed his eyes as a lone tear escaped his eyes. He then took his phone and dialed a number.
He then said on the phone: Looteri dulhan ki news media tak nahi pohonchni chahiye....
And he ended the call.
In the Evening
In Sethi Mansion
Anirudh entered and Aarav asked: Kya hua....
He looked at him and replied: Nothing....
Aarav sighed and said: Mai Bondita ke bare me pooch Raha hu....
Anirudh then: Bondita aur Ansh ko jail se chudwa Diya hai....
Everyone uttered in shock: Kyaa....
Jahanvi then: Par kyu Anirudh.??
Anirudh then explained to them about Bondita's Past.
Jahnvi then said feeling guilty: Bina jane samjhe... Use thappad maar Diya Maine... Wo to khud bechari inn sab me phasi hui thi.... Aur khud sach qabool Kiya tha usnee... Aur maine... She sighed.
Anirudh then to avoid the topic: Mujhe rest karna hai.... Mai room me jaa raha hu....
And headed towards his room.
Everyone sighed.
Next Day
Everyone except Anirudh was sitting in the living room having breakfast when Bondita and Ansh entered.
Bondita and Ansh stepped the room slowly, their faces weighed down with guilt and regret. Bondita, trembling, stepped forward, joining her hands as tears streamed down her face:
Hame maaf kar dijiye... humse bohot badi galti ho gayi. Humein pata hai, humari galti maafi ke layak nahi hai, par jab tak aap sab humein maaf nahi karenge... hum apni zindagi mein kabhi aage nahi badh paayenge.
Her voice broke as she spoke, the weight of her mistakes pulling her shoulders down.
Dadi, her heart softening at the sight of Bondita's sincerity, spoke gently: Puttar, tu rona band kar. Galti insaan se hoti hai.
Jhanvi, stepping forward, added in a soft voice: Hamein pata hai tumhe bachpan se wo pyaar aur parvarish nahi mili jo zaroori thi, par phir bhi tumhare andar sachai hai, aur yeh tumhare achhe dil ka saboot hai.
Pinky nodded, her eyes full of understanding. Aur tumhari yeh sachai hi thi jisne humein tumhe maaf karne pe majboor kiya. Hum jaante hain, tumhare iraade kabhi bure nahi the.
Bondita sobbed harder, grateful yet tormented by her guilt. She looked around the room, seeing that most hearts had softened, but her eyes searched for only one person.
Mehak, who had been standing quietly, finally spoke: Bondita, hum sab ne tumhe maaf kar diya... lekin Anirudh... vo bahut zyada hurt hua hai. Tumne uske vishwas ko chot pahunchayi hai. Tumhari maafi uske liye aasaan nahi hogi.
Just as Mehak finished speaking, Anirudh descended the stairs. His face was unreadable, but there was a storm brewing in his eyes.
Anirudh: Mom, main...
He stopped midway, his eyes locking onto Bondita's. For a moment, the room fell silent, heavy with unspoken tension.
His words trailed off as he saw Bondita. A flood of emotions swept over him-betrayal, hurt, and the deep love he still harbored for her. Bondita, heart pounding, took a step forward, her hands trembling as she tried to reach out to him.
Anirudh Ji... her voice was barely a whisper, pleading for forgiveness.
But Anirudh, unable to face her yet, clenched his fists. He turned away, his jaw tight, his heart torn between his feelings and the pain of betrayal. Without saying another word, he walked past her, leaving the room. The sound of his retreating footsteps echoed, filling the silence that followed.
Bondita stood frozen, her heart shattered, realizing that his wounds were deeper than she had thought, and winning his forgiveness would take more than an apology.
The next day at Sethi Mansion
The house was eerily quiet. Everyone had gone out, leaving Anirudh alone in the mansion. He was sitting in his study, absorbed in work, trying hard to keep his mind off the emotional storm brewing within him. Just then, the houseworker knocked on the door, breaking his concentration.
Anirudh (sighing deeply, picking up the phone): Haan, bolo.
Houseworker: Sir, woh Bondita aayi hain. Aapse milna chahti hain. Unhe aapse kuch zaroori baat karni hai.
Anirudh's face hardened instantly, the pain and betrayal flashing in his eyes. He spoke coldly, trying to suppress the flood of emotions rising inside him.
Anirudh: I don't have time. Usse keh do, wapas chali jaaye.
Houseworker hesitated but hummed, heading back to Bondita, who was waiting outside with anxious eyes.
Bondita, her heart pounding, asked: Kya kaha unhone?
Houseworker, feeling uncomfortable, shifted his weight and spoke softly: Sir ne kaha hai unke paas waqt nahi hai... woh aapse milna nahi chahte. Unhone aapko wapas jaane ke liye kaha hai."
Bondita's heart sank, but she straightened her posture. She had come too far, and this time, she wasn't leaving without being heard.
Bondita (determined, her voice shaking but resolute): Hum wapas jaane ke liye nahi aaye hain. Aaj hum unse baat kiye bina yahan se nahi jayenge.
Her eyes glistened with unshed tears, but her resolve remained strong. She wasn't just fighting for herself; she was fighting for their relationship, for the truth that still connected them.
The houseworker hesitated again but picked up the phone, knowing this conversation wasn't going to end easily.
Houseworker: Sir, Wo keh rahi hain ke vo bina aapse baat kiye yahan se nahi jayengi.
There was a brief silence on the other end, and for a moment, it seemed as though Anirudh might change his mind. His heart clenched at the thought of Bondita standing outside, waiting for him. But the weight of the past, the hurt, and the betrayal still clouded his judgment.
Anirudh (his voice colder than before): As her wish. Na jaye, par keh dena ke main nahi aaunga.
He disconnected the call abruptly, his heart racing, as he leaned back in his chair, his hands trembling slightly. It wasn't that he didn't want to see her-he was just too afraid that seeing her would break him all over again.
The houseworker came back to Bondita, his eyes filled with sympathy, knowing how hard this moment was for her.
Houseworker: Sir ne kaha hai... ke vo nahi aayenge.
Bondita's breath hitched, her heart feeling like it had been shattered into pieces again. But she wiped away her tears, her resolve only growing stronger. She wasn't leaving. Not today.
Bondita stood there, under the weight of her emotions, waiting in the hope that somehow, some way, Anirudh would hear her silent plea and come to her.
Bondita, feeling the sting of rejection again, inhaled deeply. Her legs felt heavy, but her heart was firm in its decision. She looked at the grand entrance of Sethi Mansion, the very place that had once going to be her home, where her love and trust had bloomed. But today, it felt like a wall keeping her from Anirudh.
Bondita (whispering to herself, voice trembling but filled with determination): Aaj hum bhi baat kiye bina yahan se nahi jayenge.
Her eyes welled up, but she refused to let the tears fall. She moved toward the gate and stood tall, blocking the entrance. The wind blew softly, rustling the fabric of her dupatta, but her heart was steady. She wasn't going to back down. She had already lost too much, and this was her last chance to make things right.
She thought of the countless memories they had shared, She couldn't let the silence between them grow deeper. Not without one last effort.
Bondita (softly, almost as if speaking to Anirudh despite the distance): Humse galti hui hai, par humare jazbaat kabhi jhoothe nahi the. Anirudh Ji, Aapke bina hum adhoore hain. Aapko humse baat karni hi hogi... aaj hum yeh darwaza tab tak nahi chhodenge jab tak aap humari baat nahi sunte.
