"More?" you questioned as Corporal Levi assigned 20 extra laps. Sweat dripped down your forehead, you had already ran 40 laps, your legs couldn't take much more.
"No" he said rolling his eyes "the words 20 more mean stop and rest. Hurry the fuck up."
Fatigued and tired, after one lap you fell to the ground.

"disgusting" he spat at your dirt covered body laying on the ground."I just want you to be strong" he whispered to himself
The corporal had trouble showing compassion, so he substituted it with harsh work and extra training.

~Time Skipa~

After showering you collapsed on the bed.

"forget dinner" you said, eyelids heavy and threatening to close. Your body forgot itself and fell limp on the messy, unmade bed.
Unluckily for yourself, you awoke with a shriek made by you. You couldn't remember the dream, but it had to be awful to cause you to scream. Now awake, you silently pleaded you didn't wake anyone up and stared out the window at the full moon.
"so close, yet so far." You told yourself "just like everything else in my life." With a sigh you couldn't hear the creak of the door.

"So far away, Cadet?" Corporal Levi asked with a raspy morning voice. "what's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing Corporal, just a thought to myself." You told him half honest

"you know" He gulped, questioning whether or not to continue "When I lived in the underground.... I said the same about the sky." You sat, staring at the moon, taking in what he said.

"do you.... Ever believe you'll find someone special?" You questioned the corporal, Though you'd be surprised to get an answer.

"Is that really what's important to you cadet? What about... staying alive? You can focus on relationships after you know, the man eating giants aren't threatening your life every day"
can't have a single conversation with levi without sarcasm.

"true, captin. But that's what makes it special. Because what if I don't survive the titans? Should I stay away from the ones I love because I'm unsure?" Levi never replied, though he hummed lightly showing the words where in thought. Soon after, Levi left.
He stated his goodbyes and on his way out you almost saw a hint of a smile. A feeling of joy engulfed your body with a warm feeling as you drifted to sleep once more.

You awoke to the sound of yelling and arguing outside of your door.

"pfft like she'd go for a freak like you, shifter" Jean (*cough* horseface *cough*) retorted

"at least I don't neigh" The cadet Eren Jaeger commented back
Corporal Levi had been walking by while the two idiots yelled outside the 'sleeping' girl's door

"Jeager what the fuck do you think you're doing?!"

"I-Im sorry sir!" Eren stammered, clearly startled.

"And you, horseface" Jean scoffed in the middle of his sentence. "Oh... You want to scoff at me? Laps until you collapse. Jeager you're off easy, clean the mess hall. Both of you march before you wake up l/n!"

"A little late for that." I stood In my doorways yawning and stretching.
"Did the captain actually do something nice for me?" I cooed.

"Shut it brat"

"You didn't deny itt~"
What am I doing? I swear I'm just asking for more laps, but teasing him Is fun.

"L/n do you want to join horseface?"
I hate having to be such an ass to her, but I don't want to appear weak.

"No sir." I said with my head down.

"You're dismissed."

(Levi's POV)

I watched y/n walk away with her head down.
'way to be an ass' my subconscious told me.
I sighed before walking back to my room.

"Fuck feelings" I said aloud to myself as I leaned back into my chair.

"Feelings for who captain" Jeager smirked leaning on the doorway.

"Jeager who gave you permission to just walk into my room?" I asked clearly knowing he knew the answer.

"Sorry sir" his bitch smirk faded.

"What do you want"

"Well I heard you stomping to your room so I.... I decided to check what's going on."

"Chose a lousy time to check in" I grumbled

"Soo who's the girl you've got your mind on" he was acting oddly friendly. What was his deal, the brat normally looks like a ghost when he normally sees me.

"Cut the crap Jeager. What do you want" with a sigh Eren responded

"Hah caught me captain... It's hanji. Please let me hide in here for just five minutes. She's after me..." He pleaded, ending in a whisper.
I was about to refuse but I saw y/n walking past.

"Hey Eren!" She put a hand on his shoulder greeting him.
"Surprised to see you here. You always seem terrified of captain clean."
Even if she mocks me, it's always so pure I can't even be mad.

"Just get in Jeager."

"Oh thank God. Here she comes now!" He yelled while almost slamming the door closed, dragging y/n with him."
Hanji knocked on my door

"Is Eren in there?!" She asked very rushed. I could almost feel her drooling while thinking of experiments.

"No shitty glasses. Take your Titan loving ass somewhere else." I said plainly.
Hanji ran away looking for Eren elsewhere.

"That was pretty cool of you to cover for Eren" y/n grinned at me.

It was almost hard to resist kissing her right there and telling her how much she meaned to me, but fucking jeager was standing there. Cockblock.

"I'll be on my way captain." Jeager winked at me.
Shit he's caught on to me.

"Hey captain" she began, but I zoned out, all my attention went to her beautiful E/c eyes.
She inched closer to me.

(Y/n's POV)

I stood there waiting for Levi's reaction.
He just sat staring at me.
Was what I said that shocking?

Levi suddenly stood up and began inching twords me.

"L-Levi? What are you doing?" Our faces where only inches away, my face was most likely the brightest red. He quickly pinned me against the wall and kissed me. Fireworks went off in my mouth, I felt... Loved.
Breaking out of Levi's grasp, I wrapped my arms around his neck, his arms already around my waist.
The need for air pulled us apart, he looked me in the eyes with a loving look.

"I've waited too long" he told me after panting.
"Y/n will you go out with me?"
My eyes became watery, without a real response I kissed him roughly once more. His smile into the kiss told me he understood my answer.

"I love you y/n"
