Twisted Love (Diabolik Lovers & Nanbaka crossover - various x OC) - Part 2

(A/N): I really hope this meets your expectations

Terra's POV

Deciding to stand behind the armchair in which Uno had gladly sunken into, I eyed the six vampires with suspicion. Tension rose vigorously, saving us the effort of having to continue under false pretences.

"Did you perhaps...come from a place we are unaware of?" asked Reiji.
"Uh duh, didn't we already go through this?" Rock replied.
"*sigh* It seems that the 'dense muscles for brains' does not understand what I mean. Did you come from a different universe?"
"How the hell are we supposed to know?"

The others looked at me as I spoke. Walking out from my spot, I sat down on the floor, lifting a knee up for my chin to rest on. Glaring at the redhead who smirked at my entrance into the conversation, I raised an eyebrow towards Reiji, expecting an explanation.

"You have a gem embedded in your forehead-"
"And you guys are vampires."
"I believe that has something to do with your 'teleportation'," he continued as if I hadn't spoken at all.
"Then do you have any ideas on how we can return?" Uno asked.
"You want to willingly go back to prison?" Ayato asked, disbelief clearly shown on his face.
"It's better than staying here. You guys are creepy," replied Nico.
"Then we have every reason to call you creepy," Subaru exclaimed.

Zoning out of their argumentative conversation, I focused on the confused state of my mind. If...my pink gem really did bring everyone here, then...wasn't it my fault that we were trapped in this dire situation?

Refusing to let myself be brought down by such negative thoughts, I rubbed my temple to try and alleviate the headache forming just from thinking about the twisted nature of it all.

Jyugo placed a hand on my shoulder, making me jump from the sudden pull back into reality. He moved so that he was in front of me before asking a question, his cheeks slightly pink.

"I'm hungry," he exclaimed.
"Do you guys have any food?"
"Yeah, but why would we give it to you?" Kanato asked.
"...I'll let you drink my blood."
"Oi Terra, what are you saying?! It's just food-"
"Uno, look at Jyugo."

The dark-haired male was pale from exhaustion and fatigue ate at his livelihood. He swayed just from a slight push and didn't seem to be able to hold out for much longer.

Laito was suddenly behind me, sinking his fangs into my neck. I winced but did nothing to resist him as he drank, his arm snaking around my waist. Once finished, he licked the puncture holes but I didn't allow him to taste any more satisfaction.

"Make me some macarons, little Terra," he ordered.
"I want takoyaki," Ayato added.
"We want a chocolate cake," Kanato exclaimed.
"Shut up. I'm only making food for Jyugo."
"It's already getting late. Why don't you just prepare dinner for all of us?" Shuu asked.
"I'm not your maid nor your cook."
"I guess I'll have no choice but to offer a helping hand," replied Reiji.

~In the kitchen~

This place was huge. I had already unconsciously came to the conclusion that they were rich, considering how they lived in such a luxurious mansion but this kitchen was beyond my wildest imagination.

Despite the fact that their diet consisted mainly of blood, various food items and ingredients lined the shelves and cupboards, including their large pantry. Their utensils and equipment were just as plentiful, showcasing a wide variety of products.

"You know how to cook, right?" Ayato asked as he leaned against the wall.
"I do have some experience in the field but I wouldn't say I'm very good."
"I thought you couldn't," Subaru said as he came in.
"Hajime always lets Terra cook when she feels like it. Nanba Prison has lots of cool facilities, you know," Nico exclaimed.
"Who's Hajime?" asked Reiji.
"The supervisor of our building," Uno replied.
"This prison sounds much more developed than your average one," commented Shuu.
"Of course, it's the best prison in the world," Rock boasted, as if he was proud to be an inmate of Nanba Prison.

Smiling to myself, I began preparing dinner with Reiji. Finally able to relax seeing as how they seemed to be getting along better than before, I focused solely on making the best food I could.

Having had some scarce practice during my prison life, I wasn't all too confident in my skills. Deciding to try making Ayato's requested takoyaki from a recipe Subaru had kindly found online, I began.

It seemed that Reiji was making pasta carbonara. As for dessert, they had left that up to my choice. Expressing my opinion of having chocolate cake and strawberry macarons, they consented without much thought.

"Terra, are you done yet?" Nico asked impatiently.
"Cooking is an art that needs time to perfect," Rock replied in my stead.
"Oi, give that back," Shuu exclaimed, annoyed.
"Classical music...pfft, what a bore," Uno commented.
"W-watch out!"

He turned around too late. The bowl in my hands dropped to the ground as he collapsed onto my body, sending us both falling towards the ground. His lips landed on mine, making my eyes widen in shock.

"Your lips are soft, better than my expectations," Uno exclaimed with a wink.

Suddenly, Jyugo pulled him up and told him not to 'steal me for himself'. A blush crept onto my cheeks as I touched my lips, not sure whether to feel embarrassed or annoyed.

"Oi, the takoyaki paste!" Ayato yelled.
"Tch, sorry, 'your highness'."

A handful of melted chocolate landed on his face. I burst out in laughter along with all the others. Nico smirked in triumph as Ayato grabbed the leftover paste and threw it towards him.

"Food fight!" Rock exclaimed happily.

I grabbed an egg from the fridge before throwing it at Reiji. It hit him square in the face, leaving two rectangular shapes around his eyes when his glasses were taken off.

I couldn't help but have to hold onto the counter for the sight was too hilarious. He sighed in annoyance before teleporting away from the kitchen.

Laito aimed flour towards Jyugo, who awkwardly tried to dodge but was a second too late. The sight of these vampires having fun with my best friends lifted the bad impression I had formed in my mind.

Perhaps staying here for a while longer wasn't as bad as my terrible imagination. Here, we could have more freedom even if it did come with restrictions.

"Hey Terra, if you don't hurry up and find a team, everyone's gonna gang up on you," Uno exclaimed.
"Right back at you, Uno."
"Can't we stay here for a while longer?" asked Nico.
"*smiles* I don't see why not."
