Summary: Kousei Arima is a piano prodigy but ever since his mother passed away, he hasn't been able to hear the sound of his own piano. When the story starts, Kousei is an average schoolboy living a black and white life alongside his friends Tsubaki and Watari. That is until he meets a beautiful violinist named Kaori Miyazuno. Kaori is the first note of music Kousei hears after his mother's death. Once Kaori finds out who he really is, she takes him on a journey to rediscover music. Little does Kousei know that this smiling musician has much more going on than appears to the eye.

Pros:
-The instrumental music is amazing
-Soundtrack helps set the mood
-The characters are well-developed and have fascinating stories to tell
-You can really feel the emotions of the characters
-The sadness is so real; you can feel it too heavily
-The settings help set the mood too
-Tbh, even the settings are well-developed
-All the voice actors play their parts perfectly (at least in the Japanese version cause I haven't seen the dub)

Cons:
-Sometimes there is too much song and not enough dialogue/action
-You have to be in the right mood to watch it
-Like, you have to be kinda down or calm or else you won't understand the feels
-How many tears you'll shed
-The ending

Tips: More like a warning, but you will cry. It is so sad. So sad. I'm telling you. I don't cry about shows much, but Your Lie in April will bring out the tears.
