Yawning as I pulled myself out of bed I scratched my stomach before tearing open my curtains and hissing at the bright yellow glowing light of the sun.

"As much as I love your warmth sun, I don't like it so much when you're blindingly bright when I open my eyes in the morning!"

The sun obviously didn't respond but instead seemed to invade my cells by casting its warmth upon my skin; making my lips part slightly as I moaned softly at the warmth.
"You're forgiven I suppose"

Finally smiling and shaking off my earlier grumpy mood I started brushing my (h/l) (h/c) hair before tying my leaf village headband around my neck as Hinata had hers.

Letting my (e/c) orbs wander over to the clock hanging above my stove; I choked on the air I had been breathing.
"Shit! I'm gonna be late and Kiba's gonna kill me!"

Forgetting any thoughts of taking a morning shower I ran out the door quickly locking it behind me then began jumping over to the barbeque shop where I knew Hinata and Kiba would be enduring my lateness.

As I sprinted and jumped my way around the village my hair whipped behind me violently from the speed. The village was mostly quiet today, no sign of Naruto and his team thank goodness.

My eyes locked onto the barbecue shop and the two people who were standing outside. One beautiful Hyuuga kunoichi and one very annoyed dog boy as well as his hyperactive puppy. Jumping down from the roof I had been running on I panted and held one hand up waving while the other was on my knee as I leaned over gathering the air I desperately needed.

"I apologize -... for being -... late"

Hinata produced a small water bottle from her pocket and handed it to me smiling softly like usual.
"It's alright (Y/n), we weren't waiting that long anyway"

Kiba huffed out a sigh of air before raising an eyebrow at me as I swiftly thanked Hinata for the water and chugged it down.
"So mind telling us why you're so winded? Your endurance isn't that bad"

I sat down on a bench which they obviously had either forgotten about or taken no notice of.

"I live all the way on the other side of the village Kiba, so if I didn't want to be extremely late I had to book it here as fast as I could"

Kiba rolled his eyes before grinning, his sharp canine fangs showing as he did so.
"Well come on then, let's get inside and order something already. I'm starving!"

Akamaru gave a bark of agreement-making me laugh and nod.
"Sounds great to me! I may or may not have forgotten to eat last night, whoops"

Kiba sighed and lightly smacked the top of my head making me whine.
"Hey! That hurt Kiba!"

Hinata's shy voice interrupted my whining.
"H-He only did it because y-you're part of our ah..of our squad so you know he..he's making sure you're healthy"

I smiled gently at the young female Hyuuga as all four of us sat down; of course, I'm counting Akamaru!
"Fine, I see you have a point. But I'm only letting him get away with it because you're here"

Kiba smirked as he ordered some meat for himself and his pal.
"Are you suggesting you could take me in a fight (Y/n)?"

My (e/c) eyes gleamed with playfulness and I smirked right back.
"Oh I'm not suggesting it Kiba, I'm telling you I could take you in a fight"

Hinata didn't like fighting or any type of arguments but she enjoyed seeing you and Kiba teasing each other. She always smiled at the friendship you had with Kiba and herself.

As I continued smirking at Kiba daring him to tease back I heard a voice that made my face light up like a forest fire in the night. It was Shikamaru's voice.

"There's no doubt (Y/n) could take you in a fight Kiba"

Kiba looked at Shikamaru before scoffing and grinning at the boy as a waitress brought over the meat he had ordered.
"You wanna make a bet?"

Shikamaru yawned before looking at Kiba.
"Nah that's a drag"

My face was on fire I knew it was, and I could feel the blush that was crawling its way up my neck and to my ears. I couldn't help it if I found Shikamaru's voice attractive as hell! And might I just add he's sexy? Sure he could be lazy at times but when you got to know him he was an amazing guy. How could I not be a puddle?

Hinata glanced over at me as I was sitting next to her in the booth. Her eyes widened seeing my face was a deep crimson and I was practically drooling as I hid my face in my arms that laid on the table.

Kiba's voice was the next thing I heard and I really wish it wasn't because after he spoke I could feel Shikamaru's eyes land on my figure.

"So (Y/n) what do you think? You wanna go up again-...um (Y/n)? Are you okay? Why are you laying your head on the tab- oh~ I get it"
Oh shit, I couldn't see it but I could sure as hell hear the smirk in his voice.

"Hey, Shikamaru, why don't you say something to (Y/n)? You haven't said hi to her yet have ya?"

Shikamaru let out a small breath of air at Kiba.
"Sorry (Y/n), I meant to greet you but hearing Kiba think he could take you on made me laugh"

I lifted my head off the table (only after making sure I wasn't drooling and hoping I wasn't still blushing) and smiled at Shikamaru waving my hand dismissively.
"Ah it's alright d-don't worry about it really I g-get it"

Well, I was clearly still red and growing even redder by the second because Shikamaru looked at me with an odd expression, as if he were analyzing my body language. Which he probably was now that I think about it.
"Sure"
What I hadn't was the mumble of.
"Troublesome girl"

Kiba coughed under his breath poorly faked as he said the words cough instead of actually coughing.
"(Y/n), Cough, lovesick, cough"

I glared at Kiba before he quickly got up, grabbed Hinata's arm gently and put Akamaru on his head then left saying.
"Sorry Shikamaru, (Y/n), I just remembered Hinata and I wanted to train today! We'll see who wins tomorrow!

"So, are you okay?"

Oh.My.Gosh. Why did he have to be hot and have such an amazing voice?! I couldn't help it as I stumbled over my words, my cheeks and ears flushing the deepest red they could get.

"I ah- Yeah I ah well um you, voice- ah - shit. Yes, I'm fine heh..."
I couldn't take my own embarrassment and covered my face with a hand looking away as Shikamaru sat down across from me. His dark eyes locking onto my figure.

"(Y/n), look at me"

I lowered my hand trying not to look like an idiot as I looked at Shikamaru who was smiling but...it also looked like he was smirking at the same time.  I've seen his smile before sure but his smirk oh... gosh, I could feel my face wasn't cooling off at all!
"Y-Yeah?"

"Do you want some (f/s)? I brought some with me today"

I grinned and nodded quickly as I held my hand out expecting my treat.
"Yes, please!

Before I could question why Shikamaru had grabbed my hand I felt him pull me close enough across the table where he spoke quietly by my ear.

"Tell me something (n/n), if I spoke a bit closer how much more of a puddle would you be?"

I couldn't move at this point and the only words that came from my mouth were jumbled together.

I think I just gave him the answer he wanted because I felt his lips graze my ear as he hummed quietly.
"Good girl"

I fainted right there in the spot, luckily for me, Shikamaru had caught my collapsed form and carried me out of the shop before anyone had a chance to ask what happened.

~Short 5 minute timeskip~

When I blinked my eyes open I found myself staring at the blue sky with clouds drifting along but something was off. My head was laying on something- no correction, someone. And their arms were wrapped around me, holding me gently to their own body.

"It took you long enough. What a drag"

I let my (e/c) eyes drift upwards and lock with Shikamaru's dark eyes before looking away embarrassed as I remember fainting.
"You're way too sexy Shikamaru..."

He chuckled and the slight rumble from his chest echoed in my mind as he smirked and responded while resting his chin on my head.
"And you're way too cute and easy to tease you troublesome girl"

I scoffed and tried pulling away simply because I felt myself self getting more embarrassed each second; only to feel my body freeze.
"You troublesome girl"

I realized what he did, the clever bastard used his Jutsu on me. I pouted looking at him.
"Come on Shika-"

Before I could say anymore he pressed his lips against mine with a surprising gentleness that shocked me. Closing my eyes I moved my lips against his with a loving passion before I tried fighting against his Jutsu so I could wrap my arms around him but he only smirked as he pulled away.

"I could let you move but I don't think I'll let you right now"

I growled at him, not in a mean way but in the 'I'll get you back' kind of way.

Suddenly his eyes lit up as if he had forgotten something and just remembered. Confused I raised an eyebrow as that's all I could do for now.

Shikamaru continued holding me in his arms before he pulled me gently back into his chest and hummed in my ear. And this time it wasn't that natural sexy, no this jerk was purposely making you a puddle.

"(Y/n), you're a troublesome girl and it might be a bit of a drag for you but I want you. So what do you say?"

I grinned before I hummed in response.
"I say yes, of course, Shika"

Sorry for Shikamaru not being his normal "what a drag" attitude but honestly I could see him doing this to a girl he cares for lol

P.s I really loved writing this one-shot I had so much fun with it (also I finished this at 1 am so I apologize if there are a few mistakes)
