Story Title: Can't sleep

Hey guys! MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🎅  Hope ya get what ya want from Santa! Anyway Jaune is such a cute bean! This was requested by @-Tuckerdidit- quite a while ago. Sorry about that 😅 Anyway let's get into this!

(Y/N) sat up in her sleeping bag, rubbing her tired eyes as she looked around. Oh yeah...This is Jaune's sister's house. She thought thinking of the day that had just passed. The train being attacked, them being split up from team RWBY and them arriving in Argus. Jaunes sister, Saphron, was kind enough to house all of the team until the rest arrived. 

(Y/N) couldn't sleep. All she could think about was the others and if they were okay. Everyone had been trying to contact them but their scrolls had no signal. She stood up and decided a drink of water would probably be good. She quietly crept down the stairs and grabbed a drink of water. As she was filling up the cup, she glanced outside into the garden and saw Jaune. He was practising by the looks of it and as she looked closer, she saw that his scroll was playing some video. Interested and without thinking, (Y/N) approached the door to get a better look.

It was already slightly open so she stepped out, feeling the cold hit her body, and leant against the door frame. She noticed quickly that he was following a training video made by Pyrrha and her body slumped a little. She missed Pyrrah just as much as everyone else but she couldn't deny that she was jealous of the dynamic that Pyrrha and Jaune had. She knew that when Pyrrha was alive she loved Jaune but she never knew if Jaune reciprocated and it hurt to think about because (Y/N) loved him as well. She cared for him so much and seeing him in pain made her want to scream but what could she do? He was clearly hung up on Pyrrha and didn't even see (Y/N) in that way.

(Y/N) sighed, causing Jaune to turn around and face her. "(Y-Y/N)! How long have you been standing there?"Jaune asked, his face weirdly flushed. "Not too long." (Y/N) replied back, wondering what was causing him to blush. Then it hit her. She looked down and went red when she realised that she was wearing a tank top and some short shorts for pyjamas. She mentally whacked herself for forgetting and looked away from Jaune, her face now equally red. 

"S-So what are you doing out here?" She asked, trying to divert the conversation even though it was obvious what he was doing. Jaune sat down on the porch and (Y/N) quickly joined him, handing him the glass of water she was going to have. "Training. I'm so frustrated! I'm worried about Ruby and the others but I can't do anything! I'm stuck here waiting for them and it's not like I doubt their abilities it's just I want them to be okay." Jaune began to ramble and (Y/N) couldn't help but smile as he spoke. She loved his voice. "What are you doing awake?" Jaune asked before chugging down the water. "I'm also worried about the others. Just thinking about them being in any danger...I can't sleep." (Y/N) muttered, looking down with half-lidded eyes. 

Jaune was about to say something to (Y/N) when he turned his head and saw something that made his face go dark red. (Y/N) was holding her legs against her chest in a fetal position and with those clothes, Jaune couldn't help letting his eyes wander. He was a 19-year-old teen after all and he couldn't lie, (Y/N)'s body was perfect. It wasn't just that though. Everything about her was perfect. The way she smiled, the way she talked and that laugh. Oh that beautiful laugh. 

She was flawless.

"I don't think I'll be able to sleep at all tonight." (Y/N) sighed and looked over at Jaune's scroll before standing up and walking over to it. "I may not be able to sleep but Jaune you need to get some rest. I know very well that you work harder than many people and I don't want to see you overwork yourself." (Y/N) picked up the scroll, looking sorrowfully at Pyrrhas face on the screen before walking back over to Jaune. 

"And I'm sure she wouldn't want that either." Jaune looked down, his eyes becoming bleak. (Y/N) held out the scroll to Jaune. He looked up and the light returned to his eyes. He was looking at the most beautiful sight he'd ever seen. The moonlight shining behind her, her skin so bright and smooth, her hair swaying slightly behind her back and her eyes were sparkling. His body moved on its own as he stood up and pulled (Y/N) into his arms.

(Y/N) gasped in surprise, her body slightly tensing up but quickly relaxing in his arms. "J-Jaune? What's wrong?" She stuttered. "N-Nothing. Everything's perfect in fact." Jaune said nervously. Am I really ready for this? What if she doesn't accept my confession? Jaune was questioning what to do until he felt (Y/N)'s arms wrap around him. He made his choice right there. 

"(Y/N) I love you." It was as if a bolt of lightning surged through (Y/N)'s body. She couldn't believe what he'd said at that moment. "J-Jaune but I thought you...I mean I was under the impression that y-you...liked Pryyha." Jaune pulled away from (Y/N) and slowly grabbed the scroll from (Y/N)'s hands. "I won't lie. At one point I did have some feelings for her but that..." He looked at Pryyhas face on screen before closing the tab. "That was a long time ago."

"Jaune I-I love you too." (Y/N)'s face was bright red. Jaune smiled wide before grabbed her hand playfully. "Come on you must be cold, let's go inside." After going inside, (Y/N) waited in the living room until Jaune came back in the room. He had changed into his pyjamas which, like his hoodie, were also bunny themed. (Y/N) giggled at the cute pyjamas and went to head back to bed but was stopped by Jaune. 

"I-If you can't s-sleep maybe you should sleep w-with m-me?" Jaune stammered. "Maybe it'll calm you down more..." Jaune said with more confidence in his voice. (Y/N) nodded with a smile and followed him to his bed. They snuggled up close to each other and (Y/N) felt her stress melt away. "Hey Jaune." She whispered. "Yeah?" (Y/N) grinned at the sound of his voice before leaning forwards and kissing Jaune. He instantly kissed back. It was only a second before they separated and decided to go to sleep in each other's arms.

They woke up to find Nora and Ren standing over them. "WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?!"
