My Master, His Love (ReaderxCiel)
You growl as an annoyingly familiar voice rung through your ears. Tugging the hem of your maid‘s uniform down, you marched out of the kitchen and headed straight to your master‘s room. “Yes, m‘lord?“ you ask sweetly, yet there was growing irritation inside of you. Why did you hate him so much? Even if he saved you? Is it because he‘s a bit spoiled and such? You never knew, but from the moment you met the entire household, you knew they weren‘t normal.
“I want you to help Sebastian with the food to be bought for dinner tonight. “ Ciel ordered.
Sebastian. Your other close friend and your best friend‘s, Mey-rin, crush. While being in the household, you tried time and time again to bring them together just because it was fun. You weren‘t jealous, oh no, you like someone else. But you hated to admit that you like him. You never told a soul about him, not even Mey-rin. Sebastian was even close to figuring it out. Never the less, Sebastian escorted you out of Ciel‘s room, holding a list. “Shall we go, _____?“ he asked. You nodded, skipping out of the mansion.
----------------------------------------------------
While fetching the items on the list, you couldn‘t help but notice that Sebastian was watching you a little too carefully. Annoyed, you gave Sebastian a glare as you put the last item in the basket. “Is there a problem, _____?“ he asked you innocently. “Okay Sebby, you‘re acting weird today and I wanna know what you‘re hiding. Spill it out.“ you demanded, smirking as you saw him scowl at his nickname. But his scowl disappeared and was replaced with a smirk of his own.
“Do you know why Young Master broke off the engagement?“ he asked.
You remembered it clearly. The day when Ciel broke his and Elizabeth‘s engagement right in front of her. You never thought he was crazy enough to do something like that. You stood silent for a moment before nodding. Sebastian gave a genuine close-eyed smile as he headed to the cashier. “You‘ll figure it out tonight.“ he said slyly. You raised an eyebrow, eyes gleaming with curiosity.
----------------------------------------------------
“_____!“ Ciel shouts, nearly making you drop the knife.
You sighed frustratedly as you quickly washed your hands and dried them on your skirt. You look at Sebastian, who was busy preparing dinner. “He could‘ve called him instead, right?“ you thought. Before you could think of anything else, Ciel called you again.
You went to the living room, where Ciel sat comfortably on the, sipping a nice cup of Earl Grey tea. “Yes?“ you ask. Ciel set down the cup and saucer and looked at you. “I want you to bring everyone in the household to the dining hall within 30 minutes.“ he said emotionless. You bowed and left, off to look for Bard first.
You found him at the backyard, cleaning his rifle. “Bard.“ you called, making him look up. “Yes?“ “Master is calling the entire household to the dining hall.“ As soon as you said that, Bard smirked. “Okay. I‘ll see you then.“ he said, walking away. You stared at him confused before looking for Mey-rin in the kitchen. Oddly, you found her washing the dishes instead of taking plates from the drawer. “Mey-rin~“ you sang, careful not to make the clumsy woman flinch. Luckily, she didn‘t.
“Yes?“ she asked sweetly.
You told her the same thing to Bart, and she smiled slyly. “Okay then. Finny‘s in the garden.“ she informed you, leaving. You were getting confused with everyone. First was Sebastian, then Bart, and then Mey-rin? You felt that something fishy is going on, and youre going to figure out what it is.
You went outside and saw Finny playing with Pluto, as usual. “Finny!“ you yell, since you can‘t go near dogs you because you were allergic to them. The said boy paused what he was doing and looked at you. You told him the same thing, and a wide grin formed his lips. “Okay, _____!“ he said happily, bidding goodbye to Pluto. But before he could leave, he faced you again. “Oh, and _____? You have to stay out here, on the table by the rose garden.“ More confusion stirred in, but you didn‘t ask anything else and did what you were told.
As soon as everyone, except you, were lined up in the dining hall, Ciel had the same confused looked as you had when the four were smiling like they knew something. “Alright, you four know something. What is it?“ he demanded. “And you said there was a very imortant guest coming, Sebastian.“ he added. “Your guest is waiting at the glass table by the rose garden, m‘lord.“ Sebastian replied, his smile never faltering.
Ciel growled in annoyance before standing up and went to the said place. “Sebastian, you are a genius!“ Bart praised quietly as soon as Ciel disappeared. Sebastian smiled and said, “Alright, then. You three check on them while I serve dinner.“ Everyone saluted with a chorus of “Yes sir!“ and scrambled off.
As soon as Ciel reached the garden, the faintest of the faint pink tinted his cheeks as he saw his guest. “_-_____?“ he said, making you look up. The warm, soft glow of the candle in the middle of the table reflected your (e/c) eyes as your face heated up at the sight of him. "C-Ciel?" you said with the same tone of confusion he had.
Sebastian arrived all of the sudden with dinner, that sly smile never disappearing. "What are you implying here exactly, Sebastian?" Ciel hissed as he hesitantly took a seat beside you. Sebastian didn't reply, he simply placed the food on the table and placed something on Ciel's lap that you couldn't identify what.
You noticed that Ciel's face turned slightly redder as he looked down on what was on his lap. "S-Sebastian!" he yelled angrily at the butler as he walked away. "It's okay, Master. You can do it." Sebastian said encouragingly. "Wait, do what?" you thought. The both of you stared in awkard silence, staring at the food until you caught a glimpse of what Sebastain gave him: a bonquet.
It was a boquet of (expensive favorite flower here), the flowers you were always been dying to have. You let a tiny gasp escape your lips. Ciel noticed that you saw it and gingerly took it out. “H-here.“ he stuttered, handing it to you. You were too stunned to respond, you took it with no hesitation and admired it. “D-do you like it?“ Ciel asked, uncharacteristically nervous.
“Are you kidding? I love it!“ you exclaim happily. A light smile graced on Ciel‘s lips as he watch you enjoying the flower, eyes glittering with joy. “Oh, _____. If you only knew how much I love you.“ he thought, but he never realized that he mumbled it ever so quietly. “What was that?“ you asked, looking up at him. Ciel looked shocked for a moment before looking away, his blue eye staring to the darkness. “It‘s nothing.“ he answered. He remembered the day he broke the engagement, the day he wished you would know how much he wants you.
How much he loved you.
There was a million reasons why he saved you. Kept you. He never thought that he would do something crazy for the sake of winning your heart. But he knew better. He thought you hated him by the way you act. He wasn‘t someone stupid-- he can sense your irritation against him behind your mask called smile. The mere thought of you hating him made him visibly frown.
“Master? Is something wrong?“ you asked, interrupting his trail of thoughts.
Ciel flinched a little before looking back at you. Your face was mixed with concern. “Y-yes, I am.“ he replied. You two were silent again until Ciel spoke up. “_-_____, I have a question,“ he started. “Yes?“ you said, eyes never leaving the lovely bonquet. “D-do you... hate me?“ You were taken aback by the question, snapping your head up to look at Ciel.
“Wh-what?“ you said, your blood rising to your cheeks. Ciel repeated the question, his tone showing that he is serious. You were mute. You don‘t know what to say. Do you really hate him? Or do you love him? You looked down and shook your head. “O-of course not.“ you answered timidly. Ciel was relieved for a moment, and without thinking, a question slipped out of his mouth.
“Do you love me, then?“
Ciel cringed and clapped a hand over his mouth as you slightly jumped from your seat, eyes wide open. “H-huh?“ you asked, shaking as a huge blush covered your face. You couldn‘t believe a word he said, as well as Ciel. “N-nevermind.“ Ciel said, his face nearly matching yours. Your grip on the flowers tightened as you attempted to talk straight, but you were failing. “Y-you said something, Master, and it-“
“Ciel.“ he interrupted.
“Huh?“
“Just call me Ciel.“
“Wh-why?“
Ciel moved his hand and nervously laced it around yours, making your heart jump and butterflies flutter in your stomach. “Because,“ he said, his face inching closer and his warm breath brush past your skin. You were too petrified to move, and the next thing you knew is that soft lips connected to yours, giving you the taste of the Earl Grey he was drinking earlier. You were too shocked to pull away but quickly gave in to the kiss.
It was short and sweet, but as always, it has to end. Ciel pulled away, a rare, genuine smile on his face. “I love you.“ he finished. His smile suddenly faded, making you confused. “What‘s wrong?“ you said. “You didn‘t answer my question earlier.“ Ciel replied. You let out a small giggle escape as you pecked his cheek. “Of course, I do.“ Ciel smiled at your response and gave another kiss, this time long and passionate.
From behind the bushes, the trio exchanged a few ‘awwww‘s as they watch the scene unfold before their very eyes. “They‘re so cute together~“ Mey-rin cooed. “I wonder how Elizabeth‘s coping.“ Sebastian said, suddenly appearing beside the three. “You sure can make things happen, Sebastian.“ Finny commented, ignoring what Sebastian just said.
This wasn‘t the night like Ciel planned nor expected, but it was perfect.
