Once upon a Window...
[This'll just be some short, weird rant.]
I know I'm not the only who's noticed this, it happens in A LOT of manga and anime, and it's kinda funny, but cliché...
What is it? Just look at the pictures below:
See a pattern going on?
WHY THE HELL IS THE PROTAGONIST ALWAYS SITTING BY THE WINDOW, LOOKING CUT OUT FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!
They do it in soooooo many anime and manga! It's like, if you see a character daydreaming as they look out of a window, thinking about their own little thoughts, then they are MOST DEFINITELY the main character.
So why do they always sit there? I guess because it makes the MC distant from the other "unimportant", minor characters, you know, sets 'em apart. I guess maybe, it means less drawing for the mangaka and anime dudes. But it's a bit of a cliché setting and idea now, and it'd be nice if the MC was sitting somewhere DIFFERENT. Oh, and if they were talking to others, cuz they look like the others are just more furniture in the room to them, at the moment...
