This is another one of those "binge-watch" animes...

Rating - 9/10 

Summary - (I can't really summarize this well without spoiling a few things for you, so if you haven't watched it yet, go and watch the first episode. (So you can hang out with the cool kids here.)

Blue Exorcist is about Rin Okumura, who appears to be an ordinary, somewhat troublesome teenager with the inability to get a job. 

That is, until one day he is suddenly ambushed by demons. His world turns upside down when he discovers that he is, in fact, the very son of Satan and that his demon father wishes for him to return so they can conquer Assiah (The human world) together. Not wanting to join the king of Gehenna (The demon world), Rin decides to begin training to become an exorcist so that he can fight to defend Assiah alongside the friends he later on gains. But exactly how many people know about his secret? Can he keep his sword from being stolen? And most importantly, will his friends keep supporting him once they find out about his true identity? 

What I liked - 

 - Characterization was done well. 

 - Emotions were controlled and the anime didn't have sad flashbacks every 2 seconds. 

 - Exciting first episode. 

 - All the characters are so LOVEABLE.

 - Rin makes an excellent main character. As the son of Satan who wishes to fight demons, his very existence challenges the traditional views of the Vatican, (the "good guy" base). He's a character you like to root for. 

 - A really cool, chill anime series. Never boring, and never too relaxed. The action is just right.  Can't really say much more than that. 

What I didn't like - 

  - The setting is kinda cliche, (school ground), and the romance is unfinished. 

- The only reason this anime didn't get a 10/10 is becuase the idea is basic and outcomes are predictable. Other than that, this anime is absolutely amazing.
