Well, I'm two days late because gaiden's latest chapter, chapter 8, came out on Saturday's night at 21:47. First things first, I didn't hate Shirasu back when I finished the manga and I was quite surprised that he didn't look back at the Kumo family once, keeping in mind that even if it's a piece of wood you're talking about, it grows affectionate to its surroundings, okay it doesn't but even animals do, let's take an example from real life that proves that to me every day. There's a little kitten here in my neighborhood and since my grandpa has a cat himself and it's a really picky cat, there are always leftovers and these leftovers are given to Neko-chan(the kitty with no owner). I'm always with grandpa when he gives Neko the leftovers and whenever Neko sees me or grandpa, it starts meowing, and while it never even gets near other people, it even follows me and gran. So let's think about it a bit. It's a lil kitty, which has no owner and shelter, and who gets kicked with pebbles by the boys of the neighborhood, me being quite a distant, strict looking persona when you don't know me, they have stopped hitting the poor kitty and the tiny koneko follows me around like puppy. What about Shirasu? Shirasu is a human, who has the heavy role of the head of the clan, the leader and also tries to be an inner agent, which is way too tiring and a role in which you end up wanting to help both sides. He chose his family and his responsibilities over great friends, great no-worries life. That would also be my choice and the one sentence he tells Tenka before climbing off the cliff:'I have my family, you have yours!' I think he still lives because the author has made it quite noticeable that he is missing, just like with Tenka, who I never thought he would be the vessel but I defiantly didn't believe it when he "died", I didn't think it would turn out like it did, for I believed that Sora was the vessel and I was quite surprised that Tenka was the vessel, at least for episode 6. At that time I thought that, since he had the Orochi inside of him he couldn't die or something, but that in the end, they'd find a way to bring Orochi to its ending,which they did.

In gaiden I expect that Tenka and Kiiko get married, Nishiki and Sora stay the way they are, maybe Takeda, Shirasu and even Chuta find someone and that somehow Tenka will walk again. I also expect the Yamainu to have a reason for helping with that experiment. I kind of expected Yamainu, to turn 'bad'. I'm kind of relieved that Kiiko, Takeda and Tenka are out of it, though.

I hope you don't disappoint me, just like you didn't with the manga, Kemuri. I believe in you!!!!
