Shrek the Third

I, with no doubt, say that the Shrek series is one of the most successful and best animated movie series  ever. Packed with awesome humour and complex characters that break usual, boring stereotypes, it is no wonder why the Shrek movies have been so popular with both kids and adults over the years. Warning:Spoilers ahead!

When Fiona's father, King Harold, dies in his frog form, Shrek is next in line to the throne- but unfortunately, because he's an ogre, Shrek thinks he can't be the new king. So he leaves Far Far Away in a ship to find a certain schoolboy named Arthur that Harold told him about. Just before it's too late, Fiona yells to Shrek that she is pregnant, and this makes Shrek even more stressed when he has a nightmare about loads of gross babies. He, with Donkey and Puss in Boots, arrive at a place called Worcestershire- a high school full of people that are rarher mean to each other. Arthur, often nicknamed Arty, is not who Shrek expected him to be- just a teenage boy who is always picked on and treated as a loser. Still, Shrek wants him to be king. But a certain someone also wants to be king, and is hatching a plan to kill Shrek- you'll know who he is! When they meet an absolutely crazy old wizard, Merlin, he does nothing helpful except, perhaps, swap Puss' and Donkey's voices by accident. Meanwhile, Fiona is hanging out with her mother and a team of rather thick but funny ladies who say things like "Stay calm, we're gonna die!" However, their fierce, princess stereotype-breaking sides are revealed when they are thrown into prison by the villain. Lilian, surprisingly, bangs her head on the wall twice to knock it down and the other ladies go into fighting mode to find Shrek! I especially love the scene where Snow White summons animals from the forest with her singing, then turns into a warrior and gets them to beat up the monster trees that were guarding a gate. Dragon and Donkey have many cute 'Dronkey' babies, which is a strong issue of debate for Shrek fans how this could be possible. But the Shrek films are meant to be funny and not necaserially make sense. In Australia (the Gold Coast)  I went to a amazing area at Dreamworld that was Shrek-themed, and one of the rides was Dronkey Flyers. Despite being very mild, it was still awesome because I rode a big 'Dronkey'-and there was even a statue of Dragon in the middle! I will not reveal any more spoilers here, but I have sure enjoyed this brilliant series that people will be watching for years to come. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Only disappointments were the lack of a good soundtrack, and the ending seemed a bit incomplete, but it's definitely worth watching!
