History:

Ayaka was raised in a loving and encouraging home by Toshinori and Tomoe Yagi. Her parents first met at UA College, though it wouldn't be until after they graduated that their relationship blossomed.

When Ayaka was 12 years old, All Might was seriously injured in a fight against All-For-One and Blossom was killed. During this time, Ayaka's care was taken up by Sir Nighteye.

Following this incident, Toshinori distanced himself from his daughter, who grew more independent in response to this. Their relationship suffered enough that he had no idea that she was applying to UA.

Appearance:

Ayaka is a tall, athletic young woman with pale skin, long red hair, green eyes, and pink lips. She has an impressive pair of green wings that sprout from her shoulder blades that are made of chlorophyll.

She is limited to what she can wear because of her wings as these are always on show. She opts for open backed dresses or halter-neck tops with short skirts. She prefers to go bare footed, unless she is forced to wear shoes then she opts for unlaced combat boots. Her jewellery is all floral based, including a bracelet that was given to her by Tenko when she was a child, despite what happened, she still wears this.

Personality:

At first glance, it can be thought that Ayaka is cold and distant, but deep down she is just someone who wants to be loved, feeling as though her father abandoned her for his grief after the death of her mother.

While she is usually charming and calculating, she seems to have an underlying anger to her. Furthermore, she can be very rash and will sometimes make decisions that weren't hers to make in the first place. In the end though, she generally wants what's best for everyone and will let go of herself to achieve that goal.

Using her craftiness and resourcefulness, and her training and mindset, Ayaka is able to get by and out-think older, more experienced and bigger opponents. She is fierce and determined, yet can remain cool, calm and controlled in battle situations.

Ayaka struggles with unstable self-esteem. She hides her more sensitive side underneath her tough, confident exterior; and it's difficult for her to ask for help.

She is known for speaking her mind and having a fierce temper.

Powers:

Life: Ayaka's quirk is called 'life' and this currently manifests through her connection to plants.

Chlorophyll Physiology: Ayaka's cells are made up of chlorophyll allowing her to absorb energy from sunlight. This means that her powers are either stronger or weaker based on how much sunlight she has had.

- Note: She also bleeds green blood.

Solar Energy Absorption: Ayaka can absorb solar energies, while removing it from the source, into her body and use it to power her chlorokinesis.

Chlorokinesis: By using the solar energy stored in her cells, Ayaka can cause plants of all kinds to grow at a rapid rate simply by commanding them to do so, and can manipulate and animate them as she wishes.

Ayaka can use her quirk for defence and support, cause flowers and other plants to bloom instantaneously, manipulate tree branches to use them as whip-like weapons, control spores and pollen, bring plants back to life and make them sprout seeds/fruits/berries, use plants to heal herself and other people.

Using the plants as weapons enables Ayaka to grasp and strike continuously with vines and roots, project thorns at a distance, and quickly regenerate the withering weapons at her will. She can grow vines to entangle enemies, and even climb around a target's neck, causing choking, or strike with plants.

- Plant Generation: Ayaka can generate plants, including vines, moss, fungi, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, fruits and flowers.

- Plant Growth: Ayaka can influence and accelerate the growth of plants causing flowers and other plants to bloom instantaneously, causing them to mature with supernatural speed, grow to unusual size, and produce in abundance. Ayaka can cause plants to grow from seeds to mature plants in moments, cause them to flower and produce fruits, seeds, etc. outside season, cause a cut plant to grow roots and other similar feats.

Botanical Communication: Ayaka can communicate with all forms of plant-life, including flowers, trees, fruits, vegetables, pollen telepathically, but this can be boosted through physical touch. Plants can tell Ayaka of what happened or what is happening, like helping her track someone from a long distance away, etc.

- Plant Empathy: Ayaka can understand the overall well-being and conditions of plants, as well as fully interpret their emotions.

Plant Attacks: Ayaka can use plant-matter to attacks of various shapes and intensities, either projected, used as a part of melee attacks, etc.

Healing: Ayaka can heal herself and others by using plants. This was most likely the reason behind her fast recovery following Tenko's attack by using the flowers in her hospital room. As long as there are plants in her vicinity then she can heal and likely she can heal other people as well, though she has yet to branch out into this.

Plant Shield: When Ayaka has been rendered unconscious, her body erupts with a shield made of roots and vines to protect her from any other damage, this will last until she becomes conscious again. Though it should be noted that this didn't occur after Tenko's attack so some level of awareness might play into it, or it could be something that she has learnt as she has gotten older. The side effect being if she needs serious medical attention whilst unconscious it is difficult to get through the shield to treat her.

Naturally Enhanced Fingernails: Ayaka has near indestructibly strong nails that always seem to be at stuck at the length of 2 cm, in a neat stiletto top. Her nails are made of Chlorophyll and are naturally green. The shade of green usually varies depending on how much sunlight she has had, allowing her to see what her need is by how pale the green is.

Natural Pollen: Ayaka's body secretes pollen from her skin. She does this naturally and it is not something she can currently control. This is a subtle power that influences those around her, making them friendly towards her. People find it difficult to hate her, be angry with her, or hurt her, though not impossible. It is likely because of this that Aizawa took an interest in her, even inviting her to stay with him whilst she recovered with him even surprising himself.

Wings: Ayaka has two large green wings made from chlorophyll that have grown from her shoulder blades. They protect her from rear attacks and can also be drawn around her to protect her front.

Applications:

- Flight: Ayaka can use her wings to fly or otherwise move through the air.

- Gliding: Ayaka can use her wings to glide through air without having to apply thrust.

Abilities:

Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Raised by Aizawa, Ayaka was taught how to fight, this was later expanded on at U.A. She is well-versed in various forms of hand-to-hand combat, melee combat, and long-range attacks using her quirk. She is shown to be very precise and methodical, quickly adjusting her tactics to better suit the situation and type of opponent.

Master Acrobat: Ayaka has immense capability in using flips and spins in a fight and in flight.

Weakness:

Vulnerability to Cold: Because Ayaka's physiology is based on that of a plant, she goes into a sort of protective, dormant state when exposed to frigid temperatures - like plants in the winter. This doubles as a superpower in itself, allowing Ayaka to survive lower temperatures than any normal human.

Vulnerability to Darkness: Ayaka requires substantial amounts of solar energy to live and to power her quirk.
