*At sonic's apartment*

*Luca arrived and knocked on his door* 

Sonic (Whispering): *quickly opens the door and pulls luca in causing luca to let out a yelp* Quick! get in while the coast is clear!

Luca: Oh sonic, it's just you

Sonic: Sorry 'bout that, but they're watching...

Luca: Who are?

Sonic:...Oh luca *hugs luca* it's been so long

*Luca hugs back with a soft smile*

Luca: It really has been old friend...

*Then luca smells something*

Luca: I- i'm sorry sonic *pulls out of the hug* but what is that god-awful smell?

Sonic: What? you don't remember animal squad cologne? i wear this sucker everyday

Luca: Oh no, i remember, it smells like sea salt and rotten raspberries

Sonic: Yep, that's why i wear it

Sonic: Also it's difficult to wash out

Luca: Okay sonic what's going on? i got your voicemail, you said you were in trouble?

Sonic: *Groans* I messed up luca, my love of deer meat got the best of me, i've bought SO MUCH

Luca: Oh no, deer meat? sonic...

Sonic: I know, i know i don't usually eat that kind of meat but i couldn't resist, but i'm good now

Luca: Really? *smells something else* Then what's that?

Sonic: Oh no no that's old deer meat...I NEED IT

Luca: Oh god *Throws the old deer meat out of the window*

Sonic: GAH! *collapses onto the ground breathes heavily*

Sonic (Whining): I'm sorry luca, i just love it too much, I've become a deer-meat-aholic......I don't even know what that means *wraps his arms around luca's leg while whining* 

Luca: Hey hey easy buddy, *pets sonic's head* we're gonna get you some help okay?

Sonic: It's not just that, meilin owes a ton of money to *gulps nervously* the valley gang

Luca: The valley gang? those guys are bad news!

Sonic: *stands up* I know! but she had no other choice and if she can't pay up, they're gonna BOOTLEG her

Luca: 'Bootleg' her? what does that mean?

Sonic: Oh luca, it's going rough for the old ones, did you hear what happened to flounder? when he fell behind on krill payments?!

*Flashback*

*Flounder was reading until the roof of his house was pried open showing two silhouettes*

Flounder: Oh no!

???: Time to pay up fish

Flounder: Uhh *Holds up a fork* How about this? isn't it neat?

Flounder: Come on fellas, this is a genuine dinglehopper!

*the figure picks up flounder and erase his mouth*

Sonic (narrating): So they kidnap the little guy, erase his mouth so he can't scream, then change him around to sneak him by the copyright laws and then smuggle him overseas to a black-market studio, where he'll spend the rest of his life being forced to make terrible *trembles nervously* bootleg movies

*Flashback over*

Luca: Oh no, that's awful! we can't let that happen to mei, we'll figure something out sonic

Sonic: You mean it?

Luca: Of course, you were always such a good friend to me, you never let me down, *chuckles* I really missed you, you blue blur *playfully punches sonic's shoulder*

Sonic: I really missed you too bud

Luca:...We had some great times together...didn't we?

Sonic: Yeah...the very best *Puts his hand on luca's shoulder and smiles softly*

*suddenly a knock was heard at the door*

Sonic: THEY'RE HERE! HIDE!

*Luca and sonic hide behind the couch*

Alberto (muffled): Hello?

Luca: Sonic? who else did you ask to come over?

Sonic: Uhh *goes over to the front door revealing alberto*

Alberto: And that's 59 steps to get up to your apartment! You do a couple of those a day and you're in-

Sonic: Quick! get in! *pulls alberto in and slams the door shut and locks it*

Alberto: Whoa okay, getting a bit panicky huh? *turns around and notices luca*

Alberto: Luca?

Luca: Alberto?

Alberto: Uhh wow it's uh really you

Luca: Yeeeah

Sonic: Oh and also i hope you don't mind but i also called alberto over for help, hope that's okay!

Luca: Yeeah why wouldn't it be? everything is okie dokie lokie

Alberto: For real?

Luca: Yeah

Alberto: Soo you're not still like...upset about all the stuff about Double-0 'Berto and Animal squad getting cancelled?

Luca: What? no...i'd be pretty pathetic to *gulps* care about something from THAT long ago...

Alberto: Oh okay, I mean, you can care a little if you want to- I mean, I care, but...

Alberto:...Sooo what's been up with you?

Luca: Oh y'know this 'n that, other vague things to fill the space in this conversation

Alberto: Okay well *rubs the back of his neck* You look the same

Luca: Yeah, you as well

Alberto: Ah, hey it's no secret i haven't changed since the good old days, i'm actually starring a play tonight

Alberto: But man i tell you the real hot ticket is 'Animal Squad' *wraps arm around luca's shoulder* there's even some buzz about a reboot, someone started a whole facebook fan page for it and everything

Sonic: A facebook fan page? Nobody ever gives those away for free nowadays! do they?

Luca: Oh please sonic, the only other person who's talking about an 'Animal Squad' Reboot is *inhales sharply* HIM

Alberto: Whaaat? the fans are hungry for it!

Luca: *inhales deeply* Look i came here to help sonic, not get caught up in your hollywood nonsense

Luca: So while it was great seeing you guys again, i've gotta go

Luca: Sonic if you're really in trouble, you know how to find me and alberto, you...were also here

*luca leaves the building*

Alberto: D'you think he's still mad at me?

Sonic: Yup

*the phone chatters something*
