Jackie and I continued on our way sabotaging each other and try to beat one another to the next Phantom. We ran at a pipe with goop strung across it. Jackie slowed down, I looked back at her and bumped into something.

Greely glared and looked down at me as I backed up, "This is too Easy. I have a feeling we're being watched. Keep clearing a path for the raft, and I'll ensure no Phantoms are following it."

I interrupted him, "Why do you think Phantoms are following it?"

He lifted an eyebrow, "As I was saying... They somehow know how important this is, and they'll surely do their best to stop us."

Jackie pulled me away from Greely. My gaze broke from him and we destroyed the gate and continued. Greely watched me walked off with Jackie. After we were out of site we came across a barrier, like the one before.

Jackie growled, "How dare he give you that look."

I rolled my eyes, "I'm used to it."

The raft came to a complete stop. A pink lighting strike came from the package on the raft by the crystal. 

Peck stood there with a blank face, "PHEW! It was stuffy in there! Wait, why did the raft stop???"

I tilted my head, "How'd you fit your body in there?"

Peck giggled slightly, "We can manipulate our bodies." She paused, "Some better than others." 

I shook my head, "Liza."

She hit me with her paintbrush, "Shutup, now on to more important matters."

I interrupted her, "Whats more important than talking about Alpha powers?"

Peck hit me again, "I'll bet you anything the Phantoms are on their way to ambush us now that Greely isn't with us! He tried to stop me from following him, but I knew something like this would happen."

Jackie interrupted this time, "What are we gonna to do about it?"

Peck smiled, "I brought enough boomseeds to destroy a whole fortress! Hope you two have been practicing your aim!" Before we could respond she said, "I'll keep the Phantoms from taking the rock, you take care of the rest!"

Jackie and I nodded, "We have this!"

Suddenly Phantoms started falling from the sky. They were, in fact, ambushing us. Jackie took the right and I took the left. We started throwing boomseeds until it seemed clear enough. Another wave started and pipes jolted through the ground. Jackie and I shoved Boomseeds down them until Phantoms stopped coming through them.

Peck yelled, "We can do this all day, Phantoms!"

Jackie grumbled, "Actually we can't"

Another wave started before we could even take another breath. Peck brought her arms out a boomseed hit a Phantom behind me. Random paint was left on the ground.

Peck yelled, "Quick! Take these! They are the main event! They're just like Cosmo's Boomseeds, only they pack a painted Peck Punch!" Then she winked, "The River is going to be a rainbow by the time we're done with it!"

Another wave started so I took one and threw it. It didn't go far, but I don't think anyone noticed because it sure cleared a big space. I grabbed a bunch of them and went wild. Jackie was probably doing the same.

She then yelled, "C'mon, C'mon! we are almost done! I can see the end of them!"

Jackie and I then continued to absolutely destroy their faces. These pain boomseeds are the best! I was probably covered in paint though... After we finished the last phantoms I walked over to Peck. Jackie was already there.

Peck looked hyper, "Jeez! That was the biggest Phantom battle I've had in a long time! They must really want this rock, but why?"

Greely teleported over to us bragging, "Four Phantom Kings ambushed me in the forest. I should have known! The stone, is it all ri-- Peck! What are you doing here? Did the other Alphas send you to stop me?" Peck didn't get a chance to speak, "We can't keep the stone just because we were the ones who found it!"

Peck jumped in front of him, "Of course not, Greely! I agree with you, we should return it where it belongs!"

Greely stood firm and got into her face, "Then why do you sound so upset? You took care of things here, didn't you?"

Peck got closer to him raising her voice, "We sure did! But that doesn't mean I don't have a problem with what you did, Greely! You're always! Always trying to do everything alone! But you would have lost the stone if we weren't here! You didn't even tell us what you were doing! It wouldn't kill you to ask for help once in a while!"

Greely looked over at us for help, but we looked off into the distance like we weren't paying attention. I wonder how he likes this.

He sighed, "I'm... Sorry, Peck. You're right. Opening up to the others is... Something I will strive to work on."

Peck glared at him, "I'll hold you to that, Greely! Now, let's finish what we came here for!"

I whispered to him trying my hardest not to sound sarcastic, because it wasn't, "Yes, always tell the girl she's right. It helps A LOT."

He rolled his eyes and put the valve in and opened the gate letting the raft through. We followed the raft to the end. It wasn't until Jackie made a noise and I looked at the end. Ahhhh crap. We've been caught. Alpha drama is just getting started I guess.

Gilbert yelled, "Greely! What were you thinking?! Running off with the stone?!"

Liza built off of Gilbert, "Running off without us! We're a team, Greely! Don't you trust anyone?"

Graham cut in, "If it weren't for Liza's tracking skills, we never would have found you!"

I don't think he was supposed to say that because they looked at me. I looked away and acted like I didn't hear them. 

Greely continued, "Not like any of you would understand anything anyways. You all were too busy fawning over it to see it belongs here."

Gilbert growled, "Why would we? There's nothing here but rocks! And Peck!" She jumped at him yelling, "Why did you go along with this nonsense?"

Peck gave him a death glare, "Greely's onto something, I know it! I don't think he was right to steal the stone, but it does belong here!"

Gilbert gave the glare right back, "Why? There's no evidence that--" He eyes widened.

The stone gave off this strong glow and five rocks in the surrounding area lit up.

Peck gasped, "No way! This big rock... It's a heartstone? I've never seen one like this!"

Graham cut in, "None of us have! It's so old it was covered in layers of Ancient Sediment!"

Greely smirked, "I knew it had to be returned here, That's why it couldn't activate before!"

Gilbert nodded towards Greely, "You have my apologies, Greely. If I had known this land existed..."

Cosmo finally spoke, "If you'd have told us this land existed! There are plants I've never seen out here! Now shh! The plants here are speaking a dialect I haven't heard before!"

Liza cut Cosmo off, "The old building we passed on the way here, they must be connected to all this too!"

Gilbert looked around, "Once we have ensured it is safe here, this discovery must be shared with all of Jamaa!" 

Peck nodded, "Yeah! What better place to come see, then its home? And with this new Heartsone, we'll soon have more animals to share this place with!"

They turned to me and Jackie, "Thank you two for your time, take these items for it."

Literally, it was terrible items.

Greely looked at me, "So what have you learned today?"

He was talking about the thing with Liza. I acted like I wasn't paying attention again.

It was still too quiet so I raised my voice, "Okay so what? I know Liza has tracking skills now. I guess Greely isn't the only one who doesn't trust anyone."

Greely looked at me, "You're a Phantom."

I looked at him, "What makes you so different."

He growled, "I have fangirls..."

Everyone turned to Greely. Jackie and I gave each other a look. At the same time, we pulled out the extra boomseeds and threw them. That was for the crap items. They were covered in paint. 

Peck looked around, "Woah! This is so beautiful! Quick, where's my sketchbook? I have to capture this moment!"

Gibert yelled, "DARE! JACKIE!"

We ran off laughing pretty hard. I slightly hit Jackie, "Hey they are yelling your name now!"

She laughed, "Is that a good thing?"

I made a weird face, "I don't know, is it?"
