Ginger walked over to an empty locker and silently wrote her name on it. Inside was a see-through duffel bag with a lot of books inside. After she closed her locker, she saw a little sign next to the entrance of what she assumed was the library.

The sign read "Welcome Freshman!" and had an arrow on it pointing to the library entrance.

Ginger walked inside of the library. She looked at her now-black fur.

She sighed. She waited behind a line of several different animals. There was a python in front of her, and a deer behind her. All the animals in the line were dark colors.

Ginger took the time to look around. The library was a dark purple color. There was a sticky green liquid slowly seeping out of the vents.

It smelled wretched and horrible. I can't believe I belong here... Ginger thought to herself.

After a few minutes, she was at the front of the line. She was given a small plastic rectangle.

"That's your room key." The dog behind the desk said.

Ginger's POV

I nodded and walked to the number written on the keycard.

My room number was 406. I noticed that there was a bunny, a python, and a cat behind me.

I opened the door. The three other animals rushed in. I assumed they had the same room as me.

The room situation was worse than I thought.

There was a dusty bookcase near the door. It was covered in cobwebs and filled with old spell books.

There were four beds, all of which were dark gray and covered in light brown stains. There were two beds on one wall, and two beds on the on the other wall. The bedside tables were broken and chipped.

Not to mention the fact that the room was extremely cramped.

The cat looked up at me. He had black fur, a white belly, white paws, and a white tail tip. His eyes were stunning and green. His eyes flashed.

The python was black with light gray stripes running down his back.

The bunny had the same fur patterns as the cat, but with amber eyes.

I had a feeling I was in for a long day...
