This novel was set in both settings: The present which was on the year 2017 and the past which was on the 17th century. Mainly, the story revolves during the early Spanish colonial period specifically the Spanish-Moro Conflict in Iloilo that was not very known, not even told in our history books. 

Philippines was rich in historical events and I intend to write a side story out of it. This may serve as a wake up call to appreciate history and looking back to some historical events other than the Philippine Revolution. 

Some of the characters of the story are real but persons that are being mentioned related to them are only fictional.
