This shot was inspired by the video above, found it angst material.

Mumbo's POV
Somehow, the others dragged me here.
my worst nightmare...
a party... with kids other than the club members...
The night started out pretty normal, False had suggested going to this popular kid's party, they'd said previously that anyone would be let in. Most hermits had pointed out small flaws such as some had major triggers to large crowds of unknown people or fears of closed spaces, False gave her reasoning and helping to these concerns. She'd suggested that we'd have a buddy system, somehow that ended with me and Iskall being paired up.
According to her, the system was made so no one would be left alone, may it be sober or not...
The club arrived at the house, this kid's house is really big; like bigger than normal suburban houses. This kid's parents are probably rich or something... that's none of my concern.
At first, it started well, me and Iskall sat near a corner, just awkwardly having a conversation and trying to ignore the loud noises and bright lights that went on around us. At some point, some random guy pulled Iskall away and I'm guessing made him drink some of the spiked drinks.
That's how I'm here now, sitting alone in the corner with a half empty water bottle I brought from home. I twisted the cap over and over again, un-doing it then fixing it over and over, trying to keep myself from leaving without Iskall. Why am I waiting for him you may ask, well since we were paired up, I'm responsible for him
I'm half considering just drinking some myself or falling asleep over here when I noticed a door, more importantly a door to an outside empty balcony! I got to my feet, quickly putting my water bottle close to my chest and dashing over to the door, I opened the door hastily and slammed it behind me.
For once in an hour, I breathed in fresh air, stretching my arms out a bit before noticing a small shape at the railing.
there sat a smaller high schooler, no one I've ever seen before, he wore a long red turtleneck that seemed to cover a bit of his lower jaw as well as dark grey jeans with rips and holes near the knees and joints.
Shoot... I thought I was alone....
Suddenly, this person noticed my presents, quickly rubbing their face with their sleeve then looking up to me. He gave out a small 'eep' before settling his gaze onto me, I gave himself his stare back. Something about how light red his face was and how red his eyes were made me wanna stay with him, something was wrong...
I shuffled over to him, taking a seat beside him, letting my legs dangle off of the platform. I looked at my lap, feeling his eyes stare at me before he looked over to the night sky again. I followed his eyes to the raising moon, the orange starlight seeping from the opposite side of the sky and lighting up the stars and clouds.
I heard the high schooler sniff, rubbing his face again. My arm suddenly moved on it's own, wrapping itself around his small shoulders causing him to jump a bit. I looked away from him, sensing him looking at me, I wasn't expecting him to lean into me. I looked over to him, seeing him looking off into the distance and acting like he wasn't doing anything.
Suddenly, the music from inside began weeping in. I easily recognized the song due to most dances I've been dragged to play it at of point, it was Paul Anka's 'Put your head on my shoulders'. I gave a stomach laugh, the irony of that was amusing. I'm guessing he heard it and me because he gave a quiet "...oh the irony...", he gave out a small laugh which I gave him my own in return.
We sat there for a few minutes, never moving from our position.
By now, The stranger stopped tearing up and just blankly looked off with me still by their side and following their actions. I finally began speaking up "so what was that about...?", He looked up at him and rubbed his arm a bit "the friends who dragged me here kinda just... disappeared into the crowd... anxiety got to me I guess".
"Heh that also happened to I" I gave out a dramatic pose and speech, gaining a small chuckle from the high schooler.
We spoke for what seemed like minutes, though in reality it was two hours and 24 minutes. About our feelings, about worries, about our futures and our goals in life, things that I wouldn't ever think of telling the hermits. This kid I'd met hours ago was now getting treated like they were my best friend, I'm both surprised at myself and him.
I gathered up that He was part of the drama and art department, that he was more of lighting and tech kid but always dreamed of possibly having a part of a show. He was just year behind me and had seen me and the hermits before, though his friends were pretty over protective of him making other friends. I now knew that our time together was running out, as he seemed to glance behind us frequently.
"sorry Mumbo, I-I gotta go" My new friend stuttered quietly, standing up and staggering off towards the door. I leaned my hand out to him "wait!", he turned over to me then tilted his head a bit. "You know my name but I don't know yours! and-and are we ever gonna see eachother again?".
He looked at me before searching his pockets shakily then handing me a small paper "O-oh yeah, I'm Grian". Grian places the small paper in my hand before rushing off, I was about to run after my friend when I read the paper
there written on the paper was numbers... his phone number and small sticker of a cat stuck onto the small flimsy paper.
