Urvi was licking her lips dry. Karna was staring at the ground thinking deeply.

"If they are dead, where is the diamond? If they are not dead, where are they? And, whose bodies were they? It can be Purochan? But, how? Duryodhan must have known it. In the first place, it isn't even possible. Because, no one knew about it and their death could be prevented only if someone told them. Which no one would, because the people who could save them, didn't know about it only. And, even if they got to know somehow, how could they escape? Just a little fire could spread and burn the palace. So how? If Purochan is dead, why no one knows about it? And he would be alive, then, Duryodhan won't call him here as he can be arrested once everyone knows about his role in building the palace. If neither he is dead, nor Pandavas, whose bodies were they? This is so messed up", Karna said.

"I am feeling so frustrated, Angraj", Urvi whispered. Karna looked at her to see her wet cheeks and red eyes. "One time my hope rises, another time, my hope dies", Urvi said. "What should I do?" Urvi asked.

"You believe or not, I am feeling the same", Karna said.

He massaged his temples. "If they are alive, they are supposed to be here but they are not here, why is that?" Karna asked. "Are they hiding?" Karna asked.

Urvi snorted. "Unlike evil Duryodhan, they are not cowards. They know how to fight for their rights", Urvi said. "There is no point of hiding", she said further.

Karna glared at her. "Can you stop calling him evil? Your dear Pandavas were no less", Karna retorted back. "Nobody has forgotten Eklavya's guru dakshina which your so called best friend saw in silence", he rolled his eyes.

"Arya", Kirti said. Karna raised his eyebrows at her, asking her what she needed to say. "That soldier", she pointed. The four ladies and Karna walked towards the soldier. The soldier stopped the horse. "Yes?" Karna asked politely. The soldier looked tensed.

"Angraj", The soldier said. "Yuvraj Duryodhan has locked himself in the room and lit fire around", he said further, shocking all five of them.

Flashback

"Princess Arundhati", Duryodhan nodded at her when she greeted him. "It's a pleasant surprise to see you both here", he said further.

"Er...where is Angraj Karn?" Arundhati asked, trying to hold back her curiosity and excitement. "He's not here right now. He has gone with his wives", Duryodhan smiled respectfully.

Arundhati's face fell hearing it. Which made Duryodhan frown at her.

"When will he return?" Arundhati asked. "Well...he has left the throne of Anga, if I tell you the truth. Something happened between us. And...he left", Duryodhan said.

Arundhati widened her eyes. "Is there any way to call him?" Arundhati asked.

Duryodhana looked clueless and hopeless. But, Shakuni smirked evilly.

"There is one".

Flashback ends

"Come fast", Karna said. The five climbed on the chariot and Karna took control. It flew in air and reached Hastinapura.

The five ran inside. Urvi was not understanding what was happening in this Kingdom.

They ran towards Duryodhan's cabin where Gandhari and Dhritrashtra were crying outside. Karna saw Shakuni outside the cabin trying to open it. For some reason, it looked he wasn't applying full efforts.

Karna shook his head. Shakuni loved Duryodhan to death. Karna was thinking simple nonsense.

Much to his surprise, he saw Arundhati too.

He ran towards the door and started pushing it. On his second attempt, the door opened. He got no injury while hitting himself on the door as his armour appeared.

"Duryodhan!" Karna yelled.

"Arya!" Vrushali, Supriya and Kirti yelled in fear and concern. Karna stopped. Kirti and Supriya held either of his hands and Vrushali kept her both hands on his chest as they stared at him in tears.

Arundhati looked at them with jealousy. She wanted to be in that place.

"I will be ok", Karna said, in a pleading tone to let him go. As, Duryodhan was in danger. "My armour won't let any danger even touch me", he said and Sun rays got brighter as soon as he said that. Karna indicated to see the rays as his wives hesitantly left him.

He ran inside followed by Shakuni and Duryodhana's parents. Karna stopped seeing fire.

"Are you crazy?" Karna yelled in anger. "Why did you lit fire in the room on your own?" Karna asked furiously as he glared at Duryodhan.

"One fire incident was planned by me", Duryodhan whispered. "To snatch my enemies lives from them. However, it snatched my mitr too", Duryodhana said. "This incident will be of my guilt for that", he said.

"You have gone insane. Come out", Karna snarled. "No. I won't", Duryodhan said adamantly. Karna felt frustrated seeing him like that. "You need treatment", he requested. "Come out Duryodhan", he growled.

"I don't need treatment. I need you my friend", Duryodhan cried. "I am sorry that I lost my senses when Yudhister was crowned and came into Mama's words but I do regret it", Duryodhan said desperately. Karna stared at Shakuni who looked away.

"It's not worth it now", Karna said, taking a deep breath. "Once an arrow is shot, it doesn't come back, Duryodhan", Karna said calmly. "Come out, now", he said, his voice going louder all of a sudden, full of concern for Duryodhan. "But I know a warrior", Duryodhan pointed at Karn. "Whose arrow does back and it's you", he said.

"I may have done a lot of sins but I can't pay for them by loosing you", Duryodhan said. He hissed as his arm burnt. Karna got more angry. "Come out before I come in", he said as his armour appeared.

"You have taken the burden of bringing change. Then won't it be unfair of you don't give me a second chance? Please mitr", Duryodhan begged. "Come out, Duryodhan. Please", Karna said, worriedly.

"Bhanje", Shakuni said. "It's over now. This was not the part of our plan. Fire is increasing and it will destroy you. Come out", Shakuni said but stopped as Karna stared at him confused.

"It's not your plan. It's my friendship! I will do anything to save it", Duryodhana said. "It can't be saved if you are in danger. You are an idiot! Come out", Karna yelled. "I promise, I won't let my friendship get ashamed again. I won't plan any conspiracies. Please forgive me", Duryodhan said.

"Mitr! You forgive me?", Duryodhan asked. "Yes I do", Karna said quickly as he saw the fire increasing. "Not just yes", Duryodhan said. "Promise me", he demanded. Karna nodded. "I promise", he said. "Promise on your brother, Mitr. You will never leave my side, good, bad, wrong, right, never", Duryodhan said.

"I promise on Shon", Karna raised his voice. His wives widened their eyes hearing it. "I will never leave your side in any case", Karna promised.

"Come out", Karna growled angrily. Duryodhan came out holding Karn's hand and they hugged each other firmly.

His wives and Urvi looked in disapproval. They felt this promise was going to bring disaster.
