Upon reaching the sea shore, they heard the sound of someone in the water.

Karna held Urvi protectively and looked at that side.

He saw a girl sitting on the stone.

(In the story, Karna can see her legs. There is no fishtail)

He widened his eyes seeing sharks.

She was in trouble!

He got down from the chariot, picking up his bow. He looked at the charioteer.

"Mate, take her to the kingdom and don't return. I will come by my own", he said.

The charioteer nodded and despite Urvi's protests to stay there, Karna send her off as he couldn't afford any danger on his wife.

He went forward till the water hit his feet.

"Devi", he called out respectfully and she turned her face. Something in her eyes made him alert. The sharks came closer to him.

He got ready to attack them.

"Just sit on their back and come here", she shouted, her voice sounding strangely pleading. "Otherwise they will kill me", she added.

This didn't make any sense but he couldn't have second thoughts as someone's life could be at risk.

He climbed on the back of one and they took him near her.

He widened his eyes as her legs turned into a fish tail.

"Jalpari?" He muttered in shock.

She smirked.

"Yes. A mermaid indeed. Who wants you", she said. He scrunched up his face in anger. She snapped her fingers and he found himself getting blank by whatever spell, she used.

He soon fell into pit of darkness.

After a while, he woke up and found himself in a strange luxurious room. The walls were transparent and the ocean could be seen.

The fishes moving and the marine life made the scenery beautiful but that was really not his concern, right now.

"Who are you?" He shouted as he saw that girl entering, on her legs. Her fishtail was again not there.

He saw none of his weapon was with him and that was enough to anger him as no warrior would like to be weapon less.

"What is this?" He glared at her.

"I am a mermaid princess, Angraj. And, I have fallen in love with you. I wish for you to marry me", she said.

"This is force", he exclaimed.

"You men also marry women by force, so what's wrong in forcing you, one time?" She said.

"I am not a born royal so abduction is not my norm. Let let leave", Karna gritted his teeth.

"You married Supriya by abducting her", she smiled. "I am  going to marry you by abducting you. I have been smitten by you since the time I saw you", She said.

"No. I am not marrying you", Karna said, adamantly.

"You don't have any weapons or a way out. Until and unless, you marry me, you are going to stay here", she said.

Karna was in disbelief.

"What?" Karna said in a raised voice. He couldn't believe that this was happening in real.

"Yes. What's the issue even? You have married so many women, why not me?" She asked.

"Because they never forced me, I never forced anyone of them, I abducted Supriya because the Queen wanted that. Otherwise, I would never in my dreams, abduct a woman for myself. I helped my friend in kidnapping, for him, not for me", he said. "We have always respected each other", he deadpanned.

"This justifies any of your actions? Abduction is still Abduction only. So, I did one as well", she shrugged.

"Listen", Karna said calmly. "I have a wife of mine, in Hastinapura, waiting for my arrival. Please let me leave", Karna said as calmly as he could, because he was clearly loosing his patience.

"I have my two wives who have recently given birth. One wife who is pregnant since few weeks and one who just got pregnant. They need me. Why can't you understand this simple things?!" He asked, enraged.

"Marry me and give me the luck of having your child. Take me with you", she demanded.

Karna sighed and massaged his temples.

"Never mind. I will find way out, on my own", he said and stood up.

"Just marry me, Angraj", she said, a requesting tone, finally erupting out. "You won't get any harm by having one more wife. I will always be at your service", she promised.

His shoulders slumped.

"I don't need a wife for service, my wife is my partner. But, the way you brought me here and demand things from me is extremely wrong. Ok...fine, not like you are letting me go without marriage but how will you live on land?" Karna asked.

"I can change into human form. The only benefit that I have is, I can convert my legs into a fish tail in water. Just like you have your armour, I have a fishtail if you get what I mean", she said.

Karna looked hesitant.

Tears filled in her eyes and she rushed towards her. She held his hand, giving her a puppy face, making it difficult for him to stay stern on his decision, seeing her fallen face.

"Kumar Arjun is also kidnapped by Serpent princess, Ullupi, just two months back. Even he agreed to marry her and get her a son then why can't you?" She asked.

"What's with women kidnapping warrior men?" He shrieked in horror and she smiled sheepishly.

"How did he agree?" Karna demanded. "Draupadi doesn't deserve remarriage of her husbands, after sacrificing so much. And, Yudhister also remarried, now Arjun also, the man who literally has her heart", Karna said, thoughtfully.

"Ullupi won't also let Arjun go like this", She said, staring intently in his eyes.

"If a man like Arjun had to agree, leaving his own wishes aside, I have to also. Fine, I will marry you and take you", Karna said, but a small smile appeared on his face.

This looked so amusing to him now.

"Thank you Angraj", she exclaimed and hugged him as he got taken aback, by the sudden hug and hugged her back.
