"Duryodhan is adamant on taking me to Chedi as Shishupala is his good friend", Karna said.

He was sitting beside Arundhati with their kids. Arundhati had given birth to twin boy and girl just like Laxman and Laxmana.

Karna was holding their daughter while Arundhati was holding their son. They were in the common chamber only.

His wives shared glances with each other.

"You should go, Arya", They said. Karna sighed and kept the girl in her bed and took the boy from Arundhati, keeping him in the baby bed as well.

"I don't want to leave you all and then go", his wives smiled hearing it. Unlike what he thought, he was having frequent travels.

"It's ok, Arya, you should go", Urvi advised.

Karna sighed and nodded. He went out, to his personal chamber and got ready. He quickly took off to go to Hastinapura and meet Duryodhana.

He thanked his charioteer and they both shared a laugh over something. Then, he entered inside the palace.

"Eat food with everyone and then leave, Karna", Kunti said. Karna smiling took her blessings as they walked together towards the dining hall. "Draupadi agreed for the wedding yet again. I can't understand why my sons are remarrying. They should understand her plight", Kunti said.

Karna sighed. "Kshatriya men do remarry. That's normal. We can't blame them", Karna said. Kunti shook her head.

"Not all kshatriya men have common wife, Karna. She doesn't say it, doesn't mean that she isn't in pain", Kunti said. "Arjun escaped her but she can't escape her fate and she has to bear seeing her husbands marrying someone else", Kunti said.

"Arjun escaped?" Karna asked frowning, looking clueless.

"Arjun is quite obedient doesn't mean that he was satisfied with sharing the girl he loved and won. He didn't say anything in protest doesn't say that he was fine with everything. He couldn't see her with any of his brothers and wait just like this, see everything like silent spectator so he deliberately left his bow in that room and when he is capable enough to fight with an ordinary bow, he went in that chamber intentionally and then went in the exile", Kunti explained.

"He told you?" Karna asked. "I have left all hopes with them of understanding their duties towards their wife who sacrificed so much but I can't understand this at all", Karna said.

"I am his mother, Karna", Kunti smiled as she looked at him. "He doesn't need to say things for me to understand it. Even from such a huge distance, I can guess what he is feeling and thinking. That's the power of a mother", Kunti said. "He might have thought that living far away will be better to come in terms with whatever was going on".

"I don't think it is right", Karna said. Kunti looked at him. "Because not only him, Draupadi and him both have went through this ordeal. If she can't leave, he should have understood it and stood with her rather than going away", Karna explained. "But, at the same time, I understand that speaking is quite easy than going through it. I wouldn't stand sharing the woman I love with anyone and will definitely speak in protest", Karna said.

Kunti grinned at him. "That's why I consider you as my eldest son and want you to guide the other five. You are wise and intelligent, you understand things, Karna", Kunti said to him, caressing his cheeks.

"I am sorry, mata", Karna refused. "After what happened with my little brother, I can't even stand those five", he said as he clenched his fists to control his tears.

"I understand", Kunti said sadly. "Whatever happened was simply terrible", she said.

They reached the dining hall.

Karna smiled hearing the cheerful voices.

"How are the girls, Adhirathputr", Bhishma asked as Dronacharya and he looked at Karna with a poker face while Karna sighed.

The reference of being a charioteer's son will never leave him, thanks to these two.

"They are good, thank you Mahamahim", Karna said stiffly. Kunti noticed the tensed environment so she urged Karna to sit and he sat beside Duryodhan while Kunti sat beside Gandhari.

They started eating their meal.

"Nakul will reach their with his brothers, Kunti kaki is accompanying us to bless the couple", Duryodhan said and Karna and Kunti shared a grin with each other.

"Let's quickly finish the meal and go", Karna said.

They finished the meal and Karna met the pregnant ladies and asked about their wellbeing. Then he went to see Bhanumati and she hugged him squealing, "Bhrata".

Karna chuckled and hugged her back. He played with Lakshman and Lakshmana and then he and Duryodhan went to Chedi along with Kunti.

They were on the same chariot. Kunti was sitting on the seat under the shed and both the friends were standing.

"This is so exhausting. How far is that kingdom?" Duryodhan exclaimed, throwing his hands up.

Karna rolled his eyes. "Where's you excitement now? You dragged me in this too", Karna deadpanned as Duryodhan chuckled sheepishly.

"Where are the Princesses again? Karenumati is with her father but the others girls are always at different places in different time. They never stay in one place", The Queen fussed over her daughters.

The maids laughed.

"Today, I will make sure that they get scolded by me", the Queen said.

"You won't have the heart to scold them after you see them", her personal maid smiled and said. The Queen sighed and nodded. 

"I know that. They are my precious diamonds and I wish they get someone who care for them like we do for our daughters, think of them as precious", the Queen said.

Then she frowned and turned to face her personal maid. "Karenumati will live a good life but what about my other daughters? Who would be their future?"

"Karna", Duryodhan called out his friend who was conversing with Kunti as they both looked at Duryodhan. "We reached the kingdom", Duryodhan announced.
