Karna sat in the Mandap as everyone patiently waited for Vanshika.

"I know Chedi has made a terrible impression on you Angraj and I apologise for that but I really didn't know what was happening", Karenumati said genuinely.

Nakul held her hand in assurance.

Karna smiled. "It's not your fault, Rajkumari. You didn't even know about it, unlike some who knew but didn't act", Karna said.

He indirectly mocked the other princesses, fed up by the glares being passed on him.

They glared at him as Karenumati laughed. "Don't mind them, Angraj. They are like this only", she said and he nodded.

"I understood it well by now. Don't they know how to smile?" He asked.

"Nope", Karenumati snickered and the four Pandavas laughed as well. Kunti frowned after seeing those princesses.

She smiled when Vanshika came with her parents and brother and many other people.

She was looking beautiful.

She sat in the Mandap beside Karn and they got married.

Karna didn't pay any heed to the looks he was getting and stood up to take blessings of Kunti and his parents in law.

After that, they all bid farewell to Chedi royals to go.

Karna decided to take Kunti with him.

"Take care putro", she said tearfully to the four Pandavas and Draupadi. Karna looked at the scene sadly. He swore he would have sent Kunti with them if it was in his hands.

But, sadly, it was not.

After bidding farewell to them, they moved towards Anga.

"I wish a time would come when there will be no restrictions on women. When they can leave the household independently. When they are not bound to suffer so much", Karna said.

"Don't get sad, Karna. I am fine", Kunti smiled at her eldest, affectionately.

"You are not. I know that. Mother's pain can't stay hidden from her son", Karna said in a daze and then realised he mentioned himself as Kunti's son as Kunti looked at him with longing in her eyes.

They reached Anga and Karna saw Vrushali standing with aarti thal.

"Vanshika..." Karna started to speak.

"I know all the wives need rest right now that's why they couldn't be present here. It's completely fine, Arya", Vanshika smiled.

Karna smiled hearing it.

Her family was given a home and they didn't wish to come in the palace. Vanshika came after bidding farewell to her family.

Vrushali had a welcoming smile on her face. She urged everyone to take rest and she came here as she was completely fine right now.

"You are welcomed in Anga, Angrani", Vrushali said and Vanshika touched her feet for blessings.

"Pranaam didi", Vanshika said and Vrushali nodded with a smile.

They went inside and Vanshika instantly bonded with the other queens.

Karna smiled seeing it.

After eating the food with his wives and Kunti, he went to complete his other works.

The next day, Bhanumati and Duryodhan arrived with Lakshman and Lakshmana and they had a fun time.

Karna didn't let Kunti leave and insisted that she was also family and should spend time with all of them, which she agreed too, to his and his wives happiness.

"Mitr, can you disguise as a soldier and enter the kingdom of Saurashtra?" Duryodhan asked. They were walking in the garden while Bhanumati was with Anga queens.

Karna was surprised.

"Are you planning to send me on an Agyatvas?" He joked.

Duryodhan huffed. "No. It's important. We have heard news that they might be planning a marriage alliance with any of Hastinapur prince or those Pandavas, as the king is very cunning, we need to make sure there is no hidden motive", Duryodhan explained.

Karna raised his eyebrows.

"Since when did you start caring about Pandavas?" He asked.

Duryodhan shook his head in refusal, instantly. "Pitahmah", he complained and Karna laughed hard.

"Ok", Karna said.

"I knew it", Duryodhan hugged him. "Be careful though, they are not that nice", he added.

"I will take care of it", Karna smiled.

"You need to leave in the next week and Chandramukhi and Mata will come here with some other wives of my brothers to take care of bhabhishree", he assured.

"Ok. I will make preparations", Karna nodded and they went to inform the ladies of the house about it.

"It's very risky", Kunti refused and shook her head in disapproval, immediately.

"The image of the royal family is not very nice", Kunti said.

Duryodhan looked worriedly at Karna. Karna gave an assuring pat on his shoulder.

He kneeled down in front of Kunti.

"Trust me on this Mata. It's my duty and I will fulfil it. Kindly allow me. I don't want to let those royals harm anyone. I am a warrior and I am bound to take risks", Karna said.

"But Karna..." Kunti tried to say.

Karn sighed and held her hand with his both hands. He looked up at her concerned expressions.

"Trust me?" He said.

Kunti hesitated but smiled softly after that and kissed his forehead as Karna got taken aback.

He smiled as his eyes got filled. He didn't know how but he knew Kunti was not just queen mother to him.

She was more than that.

Karna promised himself to never forget this moist imprint on his forehead and cherish it.

Kunti smiled affectionately at him.

"Remember you two mothers waiting for you. Meet me after you come back and please take care of yourself", Kunti said.

Karna nodded.

"Duryodhan, even I would like to stay in Anga in his absence and take care of my daughters", Kunti said.

Karna looked at Duryodhan and Duryodhan nodded.

Anything for Karna.

Bhanumati, Duryodhan, their twins and Kunti left immediately.

After five days

Vanshika was pregnant!

Karna was more hesitant now. How could he leave for his duty?

His wives looked at him as he walked to and fro in the common chamber.

"Arya, no compromise with duty", Vanshika said as he sat beside her and kept her hand on his, in assurance.

"We are totally fine", she assured.

Karna sighed. "Promise?" He asked.

"Promise!" His wives said with a smile and assured tone.
