"Five hundred tickets?" Carter yells astonished at my spin the wheel skills. "Can you buy me the teddy bear instead?" I laugh.

"No. I'm going to go play skee ball. Coming with?" We walk over to the arcade game and I swipe my ticket card. I throw the first ball. "So, Linds and I are throwing a party for you on Monday." I throw another ball.

"Oh really? Am I allowed to know where?"

"Your house at six. People will leave around seven-thirty but Linds and I are going to stay until you guys leave. I've already talked about it with your parents." He gives me a hug. I try and hold back tears.

"It's okay. I'm here now, aren't I?" I nod.

He lets go and I throw another ball.

"Okay," Lindsay says walking over to us. "Finish that then we're doing laser tag. Boys versus girls. Good luck."

"Do we get any say in this?" Carter asks.

"You just did. Let's go." I throw the last ball and grab my tickets.

"Party of four?" The cashier asks.

"Yes sir," says Lindsay.

"Okay." He slides Lindsay's ticket card. "Come on in." We go inside a UV room filled with the guns. "Do you already have your teams?"

"Yep," Lindsay says.

"We call blue!" I say grabbing a blue gun and putting it on. The others do the same.

"Who are you?" Lindsay asks me.

"Captain Maleficent. Queen of the tags of Lazerville."

"Okay, sure," says Carter. "Nice to meet you Mal. King Vortex at your service." He bows.

"That's captain to you."

"Would you like some ice for that burn?" Ryan asks.

"Okay." Says the employee. "Ready, set, go!"

He opens the next door and we run into the room. Carter hits the sensor on my back right away.

"Hey!" I yell.

"All's fair in love and lasers." My gun reactivates and I shoot him in the chest. "Hey!"

"All's fair!" I run away. Ryan jumps out in front of me. I shoot him.

"Sair!" Lindsay yells. I look up. She's on top of me on a ledge. I run up a ramp to her. She shoots Ryan once he reactivates. Carter runs up behind us and shoots her. I shoot him back.

"Okay, you need to stop that."

"Nope!" I shoot him again and run away. "Linds! I found their base!" I start shooting it. The music turns off. The employee comes back in.

"Okay, congrats blue! Please make your way to the exits!" We walk out and back into the game area.

"You still owe me a teddy bear," I tell Carter.

"I know."
