Prologue

In the year 2023, Jungkook has been married to his husband Taehyung for 7 years now. They have an adopted child named Junghyun. But in those 7 years, everything seemed to be going downhill in their lives, mostly Jungkook.

The company where he was working suddenly fired him because the company had to lessen their employees because of the decline in their sales.

Junghyun had to stop going to private school because they couldn't afford the tuition, and the house and lot he bought were on the verge of being sold because their debt in the bank also rose after jobs kept rejecting his application.

And because their problems kept filing up, he got into constant arguments with his husband, and also it's because he was drunk all the time.

Looking at the stars in the dark sky while standing on the barricade of the Han River Bridge, Jungkook was in deep thought.

What if he died instead?

Will his husband have a happy life without him?

Angels like Taehyung deserved a better life, and that's something he couldn't give for 7 years.

With tears falling from his eyes, his thoughts were interrupted when he got a call from his husband. They had gotten into an argument earlier.

“Yes, baby?” Jungkook spoke in a shaky tone.

“Where are you, Jungkookie? I'm sorry for arguing with you, I was just… mad and stressed earlier, I didn't mean to slap you.” Taehyung apologized.

No, he deserved that slap, he raised his tone to him and didn't even know that Taehyung wasn't feeling well. It was always Taehyung who apologized when they had gotten into an argument, even though it was his fault all the time.

“It's okay, I deserved it. I did nothing good for you, see, I even argued with you even though you're sick. I'm really sorry, baby, that won't happen again, ever.” Jungkook said with tears falling from his eyes, keeping his silent cries.

Ever. He meant that he will disappear from his husband's life.

“I'm fine now, Jungkook, can you please come back to me? I missed you, Junghyun missed you too.” Taehyung sobbed.

“Taehyung, did you ever wonder what will happen if I'm not your husband? What if you didn't end up with someone like me? I think you will be happy without me. Maybe you are a doctor now like you wished and happy too. But since I'm your husband, I become a burden to you, I can't give you a better life. I'm sorry for making you suffer and giving you a false promise.” Jungkook stated and cried.

“What are you saying, Jungkook? I'm happy, I'm happy that you are my husband. I didn't wish for anyone but only you. So, please don't say something like that. I love you so much.” Taehyung cried too, nervously waiting for the stoplight to go green.

“Once I disappear into your life, I wished that you will find someone who will take care of you and love you. I'm sorry for everything, Taehyung, I love you too. But angels like you don't deserve someone like me.” Jungkook put down his phone and looked down at the river.

“Jungkook, please tell me where are you? Stop saying nonsense, will you? Wait for me, okay? I'm going to you right now….”

Beep....

“Jungkook? Please don't do something wrong… I'm begging you… wait for me… Jungkook” Uncontrollable tears can't stop falling from Taehyung's eyes.

Jungkook jumped into the river, with a passer witnessing what he did. He is deep underwater with his eyes closed, waiting for him to get drowned. The water slowly filled up his airway, it became heavy, and he couldn't even breathe now. He could feel the river pulling him down.

“I'm sorry, but where's Taehyung? I need to find him.” He stood up from the bed to go back to his husband.

He got frozen in his place after seeing himself in the mirror. He looks like in his high school year…
