Dear Stefan:

  It's been an exact year since my 'death'. This is the first letter I write to you. I'm thinking about doing 17, one for each year of my life. I don't even know if you'll ever read them, but a girl can dream.

  That's what I used to tell you, when we joked about ever getting married. I now laugh at how ironic it was. I never thought I'd end up falling for you, my best friend. God knows how much I miss you. Although I don't frankly think God's on my side now. So I think it's better to paraphrase it as 'Heaven knows how much I miss you'. You know what scratch that, I'm rambling. You used to tell me that I would ramble every time I was nervous. And I would tell you to kindly shut up, and you would kiss me saying that you would gladly shut up as long as I stayed by your side. I promised you I would never leave, I broke that promise. I never broke promises.

  But trust me on this Salvatore, my promise to love you for eternity will never be broken.
