It had been 15 long years after the day that Emily and Kol had found out that they were linked. It was 15 peaceful years of no drama, and it was the happiest moment of Emily's life. 

Kol and Emily had remained a strong couple, especially after finding out the news that they were linked. It was though a switch had flipped in the couple and they were even more protective over each other than ever.

Unlike Luna and Klaus, Kol and Emily had chosen not to have children, not that they were able to in the first place. 

Instead, the couple had chosen to travel the world together, to explore all that Emily wanted to and all that Kol had missed out on while being daggered. It was amazing for both of them, and they were completely stress-free. 

The Mikaelson family was more than happy to include Emily into their family, knowing the feelings that they had for each other. Klaus still had some doubts, but they were mostly playful

"Emily!" Kol shouted. 

He was looking for her soon to be wife since it was their wedding day. He wanted a glance at her at least, he had not seen her for a whole day. But it was not happening, not on Rebekah's watch at least.

Just as Kol was about to walk into the room that Emily was in, Emily spoke from the other side of the door,

"You better not open that gate Kol Mikaelson!" Emily shouted. 

Rebekah added on,

"It's bad luck to see the bride on the wedding day," Rebekah added on.

Kol could hear the bridesmaids giggling inside the room, laughing at Kol's expense.

"Well, the groom needs to see the soon to be Mrs.Mikaelson, he missed her a lot," Kol said.

Emily did want to see Kol, but traditions and superstitions were always there. Therefore, she had stood against the door and opened it a bit, so that they could at least talk and hold hands. Without being able to see each other. 

"I missed you Angel," Kol stated as he hand grabbed her hand and begun to intertwine their fingers.

Even though they had a door to separate them, they still felt as though they were the only two people at the moment.

"Kol I missed you too, but you are going to see me soon at the alter," Emily replied. 

She was finally content with her life at the moment, she was happy. There was nothing preventing her happy ending.

"Okay darling, I will see you soon," Kol spoke. When he had finished speaking, he took her hand and placed a kiss on her knuckles, causing butterflies to fill Emily's stomach. 

Then, against their wishes, they pulled away from each other as they were getting ready to get married.

Once Emily was ready, she had begun to walk to where Kol was waiting for her. The couple had decided to have a small ceremony. Emily had reached to where Kol was waiting for her, and he had grabbed her hand as he pulled her towards him. 

The couple was radiating with happiness and it was evident to those who were watching the ceremony. Soon enough the ceremony was almost over, and the couple had to kiss to seal their marriage. 

"I love you," both Kol and Emily spoke as they leaned into a kiss.

The couple had sealed their marriage and they were ready to go through anything together now. They were ready to have new adventures and do everything together.
