Emily had left the room after Kol's comment. Emily thought that there was no point in her staying in the room, the family was caught up in greeting their brother. She thought that she would not be missed.
Which was true but it was untrue for Kol.
He wanted to see her, he had missed her. The Mikaelson family had all expressed how happy they were that Kol was awake, and during that time, Emily had decided to leave to themselves. They needed this time with Kol, Emily could and would not be selfish with him.
She had spent time with him in his head, and his family had not spoken to him in two weeks.
It was true that everyone did not know why he woke up, and that was a mystery for another time, but that did not give Emily enough reason to spend time with him.
"Emily," A voice spoke inside Emily's room.
When Emily had turned around to see who it was, her blood had run cold. It was her mother, Meridith Fay. She was not there physically, but she was there.
Emily moved back in shock, she thought that she could spend a couple more years in New Orleans, that the magic of the witches here would protect her.
How wrong she was.
Her eyes had begun to turn into their icy color and there was cold air coming out of her hands. She was ready to attack if necessary, her powers being in a defensive mode.
"It is time to come home," Emily's mother spoke again.
Emily's body had begun to shake in fear, and Emily was frantically shaking her head in denial. Life for Emily was getting better, and she did not need her family coming in and ruining it for her. Then, Emily's mother's body started to glitch, and Emily realized that this was just a projection of her mother.
"No mother, find someone else for your goal," Emily spat.
Her mother's face morphed into a face full of anger, and Emily had thus squeaked in fear. She did not know what was going to happen to her, no one was coming to her rescue.
"We need you," Emily's mother replied.
There was no point in trying to be nice to coax her into joining her back into the coven, Emily had made a vow that she was never going to go back.
"No mother! You need whatever is inside of me!" Emily spoke.
She was getting angry, and eventually, she had created a spear out of ice. She had thrown a spear of ice towards the projection of her mother, and it went right through her.
"Emily stop this nonsense and come fulfill your destiny," Emily's mother responded.
Meridith was getting upset, she thought that her daughter would obediently follow her. That was Emily's personality, that she was obedient when it had come to her family.
Though, it had seemed as though she had changed drastically when she had left home. Meridith was not happy with that, and she had all the intention of reverting the girl back to the way that she had previously acted.
Then, all of a sudden, the body had glitched one more time and then it disappeared.
What Emily saw right behind her mother's now gone projection was Kol, and he looked livid.
