Ash and Gary are roommates. Gary is hot, Ash always thought to himself, but the brunette will never look at him or even love him in that way, right? .... Right?

Ash frowned. He brought his knees up and placed his arms on them.

He turned to his left. His roommate Gary was still sleeping, giving his back to him. It was four in the morning anyway. The two had class in four hours. Ash could not sleep; he barely slept three hours, on and off. It wasn't very comfortable.

Ash sighed. He put on his hood over his head and sat back on his bed. He heard Gary shift a bit.

"Ash,"

"Uhm,"

"Get some sleep."

Ash sighed again. He got up very silently and made his way to the kitchenette, making sure not to bother Gary with any noise. He opened the fridge, took out some frozen pizza and placed it beside the oven. He preheat this latter and turned around, standing against the counter, hands concealed in front of him inside his hoodie's pocket, and the hood of the sweater resting on his head; covering his hair except for the stray strands that stuck out. Ash noticed that Gary was sitting down on his bed now.

The brunette was shirtless. Ash felt his ears heat up a bit, "S-sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up."

Gary shrugged his shoulders.

"I j-just couldn't sleep."

"And you think eating would fix that? Jeez Ash..."

The brunette knew his friend had a tendency toward eating when stressed or nervous. He knew Ash like the back of his hand; ever since his parents divorced when he was thirteen, Ash comforted himself with food. If it wasn't for Gary who was there for him -as everyone else just walked on him back then- Ash would have been dead by now. The brunette just found the boy right in time, lying on his bedroom's floor, unconscious.

Since that day, Gary refused to let go of Ash; he refused to let him go anywhere without him being around. Gary was with Ash, always. He even managed to get in the same room as him in the college dorms

"I'd share."

"No thanks. I'd like to keep my abs toned a little longer."

Ash smiled, but it was a fake one. Gary's body always made him feel unconscious. Ash thought he was so perfect and sexy... to be his. Gary was just out of his league. The raven haired has gone up a size this year and he was utterly embarrassed about it. He made sure Gary would not see him change his clothes. He always did that in the bathroom.

He found the brunette really attractive. It was hard for him to see his body everyday and just watch from behind. But then he told himself Gary was hot and could get anyone he wanted. He probably did not care one minute about being together with Ash. Girls were all over him anyway, including Misty and Dawn. He and Leaf were pretty involved as well. Everyone is saying that Gary has a crush on her.

"I have never seen mine so I don't really feel bad."

Gary chuckled. He got up, reached for a cigarette from the pack on his nightstand; brought his lips together, the cigarette between them. He flicked the lighter closer to the cigarette and lighted it up. He pulled it away and breathed out.

Gary didn't bother to put a shirt on. He walked over to Ash as the raven haired put the pizza in the oven. He fought back the urge to hug Ash from behind.

"Are you going this weekend to see your dad then?" Gary asked his roommate as he leaned against the counter as well, his cigarette between his fingers. He was inching closer to Ash. This latter turned around and gazed at him.

"Well... no."

The sadness in Ash's eyes killed the brunette. He approached to hug him, but he regained himself in the last moment. Gary stepped back.

He tried to fight back the urge again. It was hard seeing how he was so close to Ash now. "Why? Is something wrong?"

"It's just..." Ash let a sigh again, "It's Kayla. I can't stand her anymore."

Ash had told Gary about it before. Every time Ash went to see his dad, his stepmother picked on him nonstop; from the way he eats, to his weight, and to his studies. What upset Ash more is that his dad never said anything about it and he let her say whatever she wanted. He'd even laugh sometimes when she makes a joke about him. He felt so left out in his dad's house.

Last time she 'bullied' him about his sexuality. It hurt Ash, and he was back to the dorms devastated. He never told Gary anything about the reason why he was so upset, even if he was the only one who knew that he was gay. Ash never came out to his parents or his other friends. He could never know how they'd react. He was even a bit scared Kayla would tell his father. He had no idea how she found out either.

"Well, your mother would love to have you around I suppose."

It wasn't the case in his mother's house, but then Ash felt so uneasy with his stepfather around. He wasn't mean and he never spoke to him in a bad manner, though Ash felt like a stranger and a burden on his mother's back. He knew deep inside that Logan did not want him around at all. He could feel it, even if the man never said anything. He was right after all; Logan wanted to spend and enjoy time with his wife. Ash wasn't supposed to be there-well that's what he thought.

"No..."

If Gary could just pack his things and leave, it wasn't for the case of Ash; he'd have to think billion times about where to go. He felt sometimes as if he had no home. It just upset the brunette to see the boy so down.

He decided he was going to cheer him up... and blow up this whole thing. Gary was so tired of hiding his feelings! "You know what? I'm taking you home with me this weekend. How about that?"

Ash's eyes slightly widened, the thought of him and Gary being in the same place again making him blush a bit, "W-what?"

"We'll spend the weekend together, and why not hang out as well. Hum?"

"I..."

Gary grinned at Ash's red face. He took a small drag of his cigarette and placed his hand over Ash's cheek, after throwing his unfinished cigarette onto the sink. He spoke, the smoke coming out slowly out of his mouth, "You're cute when you blush."

"What-what-"

Gary grabbed Ash's chin and soon his lips were on the black haired boy's. The brunette sneaked his arm around the shorter's boy waist and pulled him closer. Their bodies stick to each other as if they were one. Ash's lips tasted like sweet chocolate bars, and his body felt so soft and delicious. Gary loved it. He was kissing the boy with a passion-like he never kissed anyone before.

Ash wasn't kissing back. He was probably too shocked.

Oak pulled away, smirking. He pushed Ash's hood down to the back and ran a hand through the boy's black hair. Ash's eyes flicked quickly down to Gary's abs then up. His cheeks were very pink.

"What?"

"I-I-nothing."

Ash turned off the oven and took out the pizza, using his hoodie's hems. Gary smiled at the gesture, though he was slightly disappointed that Ash completely ignored what has just happened. He never wanted it to get awkward between them. He thought Ash would respond and they'd sort things out finally.

Gary was taken aback as Ash turned again abruptly to face him. The brunette raised his eyebrow.

"I-now we're sure it's not gonna burn or something..." Ash trailed off, looking down at the pizza-just to avoid looking at Gary.

He threw himself at the brunette and hugged his waist.

Gary looked down at Ash. He smirked and hugged him back, his hand rubbing the boy's back in circles. He kissed his forehead, moving quickly to his lips and tilting his head for a better position. This time, Ash was responding in the most beautiful ways. He gripped at Gary's shoulders, trying to make the kiss deeper.

Suddenly the raven haired pulled away. It annoyed Gary. "What was that again?"

"What-what about Leaf-"

"Shut up and kiss me!"
