"You were made to be pure,
but I was born to claim you.
Your halo doesn’t frighten me;
it only makes my desire burn hotter."

SUNAINA

....

Two days later:-

The grand ballroom of a New York skyscraper was alive with energy, yet every person inside knew the air was thick with danger.

Golden chandeliers were casting a dazzling light over the polished marble floors, and the city's skyline twinkled beyond the massive glass windows.

The room was filled with the who’s who of the underworld - mob bosses, arms dealers, and shady billionaires - all wearing their finest, but no one dared forget the ruthlessness beneath the surface.

It was the night of strategy, whispers, and silent wars fought with glances across the room.

Guards in black suits with sharp eyes stood at every corner as their hands were ready to reach for concealed weapons at the first sign of trouble.

The decor was bold and intimidating with black silk drapes, deep crimson roses, and golden accents.

The theme wasn’t just luxury but it was power, raw and unapologetic.

Then, the energy in the room shifted.

The Devil arrived.

Sunaina stepped into the room like a storm and the noise died down almost instantly.

She wore a sleek black gown with a slit up one leg, the fabric shimmered under the light like crystal shadows.

She moves with the grace of a predator and her long black gown flowing behind her like liquid shadow.

Gold embroidery ran along the bodice, resembling the flames licking at her figure. Her dark hair was elegantly dancing on her shoulder, covering her ears while her eyes scanned the room with the precision of a hawk.

At this moment, in this look, She wasn’t just beautiful; she was terrifyingly commanding.

Her presence was magnetic as all heads were turned to her and conversations halted. Her piercing  gaze swept over the room.

Her gaze was assessing, calculating, intimidating. She wore power as effortlessly as her diamond-studded stilettos and her confidence was unmatched.

On her left wrist glinted a Cartier watch that was a reminder that her time was more valuable than any deal offered tonight. On her right wrist, a silver plain string bracelet was complimenting the delicate structure of her bones.

Her painted lips were curving into a smile that did not quite reach her eyes. It was a smile that promised ruin or reward and depending on how wisely one chose to play their cards tonight.

Beside her was her brother, SATAN, dressed in a black suit with a blood-red tie that stood out like a warning.

His expression was calm but deadly, like a coiled snake ready to strike. He moved with quiet confidence and his piercing gaze dared anyone to step out of line.

Together, they were unstoppable- a pair feared and respected by all.

As they moved through the room, descended the grand staircase, the crowd parted for them without hesitation. Whispers rippled through the room.

The music seemed quieter and the conversations were softer. Everyone was murmuring their codenames - Satan and Devil

These weren’t just titles; they were legends, earned through blood, power, and an iron will.

Sunaina exchanged a glance with Avyaan. It was a silent communication that needed no words.

Their reputations as Satan and Devil were enough to keep everyone in line. This was their world, and they ruled it without mercy.

Her heels clicked against the marble. Every step was deliberate and every glance was a silent challenge.

Everything about them was a reminder of their power.

She stopped near the center of the room as her lips were curving into a faint smile. It wasn’t friendly—it was a warning.

"Well, well, the Satan graces us with his presence. I was starting to think you were losing your edge, Satan".. a voice echoed and both Sunaina and Avyaan stopped as their gaze was locking onto him like a blade.

He was a bold rival of Scorpion Satan, a man named Damian Carter - An italian mafia's faithful subordinate who approached them with a smirk.

Sunaina's eyes bore into him as her voice was calm, but it carried the weight of a storm, "Careful, Damian. Playing with fire is fun until you get burned. And trust me, Scorpion Satan don’t give warnings twice".

Damian’s smirk faltered, and he quickly stepped back while muttering an apology.

The crowd around them watched in silence and the tension crackled like electricity.

This was her domain, and she had no need to prove herself to anyone.

Tonight, she was here not just to maintain power but to remind everyone that she was the power.

She was there to kill that enemy who was daring to threaten her.

Avyaan leaned slightly toward Sunaina as his voice was low enough for only her to hear, "Still as dramatic as ever, Naina".

Sunaina’s lips curved into a small smile and her eyes never left the room. "And you’re still as predictable, brother".

The siblings moved through the room as their presence was commanding attention without effort.

Every step Sunaina took and every glance Avyaan gave that simply reminded everyone who held the true power in the room. This was their world, and tonight, New York belonged to the Devil and Satan.

Sunaina’s eyes sparkled with determination as she whispered under her breath, "The game is on".

Avyaan responded and his tone was tinged with concern, "On, Just follow the plan, Naina. Don’t fall into the trap".

Sunaina glanced at him as her lips were curling into a small and confident smirk, "I know what I’m doing, Brother. Trust me".

His jaw tightened and his dark eyes narrowed, "I do trust you. But everyone is a snake here, and snakes bite when cornered".

She placed a reassuring hand on his arm as she said, "And I’m the Devil, Brother. I don’t get bitten. I set the fire and watch them burn".

Avyaan’s worry didn’t fade, but he knew better than to exaggerate. His sister was as fearless as she was brilliant, and once her mind was set, there was no stopping her. Still, the unease in his chest lingered.

"Fine, But I’m watching from here. If anything goes wrong....", He was saying but Sunaina interrupted, "Nothing will. T-Rex is here, connected to me".

She said while signalling him to her ears. She stepped away, heading toward the balcony where snakes were hiding, her movements as fluid and dangerous as a panther on the hunt.

Avyaan stayed back as his eyes never left her. He muttered to himself as his voice was barely audible, "Just stick to the plan, Naina. Don’t let the snakes turn the tables".

But deep down, he knew one thing for certain- when the Devil played, she never lost.

He moved from one circle to another while exchanging handshakes and sly smiles as his words were calculated to gather information and gauge alliances.

His sharp suit and easy charm made him approachable but everyone knew better than to underestimate him.

Meanwhile, Sunaina were eyes scanning the crowd like a predator sizing up its prey. She held a glass of champagne, though she barely sipped it, using it as a prop to appear casual.

In truth, her mind was razor-sharp and focused entirely on the target she had come for.

"The snakes... The foxes... The hyenas... You better come in front of me and surrender before I strike and lead you to death", She thought and then her gaze settled on him.

A man in his late forties, sitting at a table near the back. He was Marcus Blackwood, a notorious arms dealer and the boss of the American Mafia.

His cocky demeanor and the way he was leaning back in his chair as though he owned the room, irritated her. He had no idea the Devil herself had marked him.

She placed her glass on a passing waiter’s tray and began moving through the crowd as her steps were deliberate and silent.

Her gown flowed behind her like a shadow, and her presence was impossible to ignore. The guests she passed instinctively moved out of her way, their conversations fading as they felt the weight of her focus.

Avyaan caught sight of her from across the room and paused mid-conversation with a diplomat. He followed her gaze and smirked knowingly. Lifting his glass in a subtle gesture and he resumed his conversation and left her to handle the situation in her own way.

Sunaina reached Marcus’s table and stopped just short of it and her expression was unreadable.

Marcus looked up as his cocky grin faltered for a split second before he recovered, "Well, if it isn’t the Devil herself. To what do I owe this honor?".

Sunaina leaned slightly as her voice was low but laced with steel, "You’ve been busy, Marcus. Too busy for my liking. We need to talk"

Marcus’s grin faded entirely as his hand tightened around his drink. "I’m sure we can come to an understanding. Joseph Lockwood, my right hand man interferred in your life and played behind my back. I already taught him a lesson regarding this. So, now tell me what I should do for you?".

Sunaina smiled and it was a cold, dangerous smile that promised nothing but consequences. "Oh, we will. But first, let’s step outside. I don’t like causing a scene… unless I have to".

"What's the matter now?", Marcus asked her.

"The wife of your right hand man is giving me a headache by mingling with Pythons and trying to steal my husband", She said in a cold tone as her eyes blazed with open fury.

Without waiting for his response, she turned and walked toward the balcony.

Marcus clenched his jaw and with a resigned sigh, he followed her, knowing there was no escape from the Devil’s grasp.

Avyaan was watching from a distance as he raised his glass again but this time, in silent amusement.

His sister never failed to deliver and amazed him.

"The game is getting interesting", He thought and suddenly a message beeped in his bug device, connected to his ears.

"Fangs are open now".

A voice entered Avyaan's ears as his calm heart accelerated wildly while his eyes wandered in the ball room, searching for the venomous fangs.
