"My love for you is a beautiful insanity,
a fire that burns
through the darkest nights."

DEVIL

...

Back in the bedroom, Nilay's hands moved with a swift intensity as he gripped Sunaina's shirt and pulled it apart.

The fabric tore under his force and the sharp sound of a ripping cloth echoed through the room, followed by the soft clatter of buttons hitting the floor.

Her body was hit by the cold breezes causing her to shiver.

His eyes landed on her flat stomach and it had a small bandage at her side belly.

The realization hit him like a cold wave: 'SHE WAS HURT'

His heart raced and the anger that had consumed him moments before was replaced by a desperate need to ensure her safety.

"You are hurt? How did it happen?", Nilay asked as his tone was shaky and his expression softened.

He looked into her eyes and the fierce intensity gave way to an urgent tenderness. He instinctively leaned closer as his fingers brushed over the area of bandage where the blood had pooled.

Sunaina shivered under his touches.

His heart filled with remorse and a fierce protectiveness surged within him.

Stating at his face, Sunaina chuckled softly and her lips were curving into a smirk as she found the situation oddly amusing, despite the intensity of the moment.

Her heart was calm like still water. Her eyes traced over his face. The red vermillion on his forehead, nose and chin made her happy.

'He is mine, now. Finally my husband. No woman can dare to steal him from me now', She thought as She had the urge to tease Nilay, to downplay what had just happened but the look on his face made her reconsider.

His expression was no longer clouded with anger but it was now filled with worry and a quiet urgency that made her pause.

Nilay's jaw tightened as he carefully removed the blood-soaked bandage from her stomach. His hands were steady but tense.

His eyes widened slightly as he uncovered a small stab wound which was fresh and raw. The stitches had been torn open by the force of their earlier encounter that caused the bleeding to start again.

His chest tightened with guilt, knowing that his anger had unintentionally caused her pain.

"Why did you not say a word when I threw you over my shoulder? Why didn't you cry in pain? Why are you so calm?", Nilay questioned her and his voice was laced with frustration and confusion as he hovered over her and his eyes were searching Sunaina's face for answers.

His breath was still heavy and his brows were furrowed with concern. He couldn't understand why she hadn't reacted? Why did she remain so composed despite the pain she must have felt?

Sunaina laid still and her expression was unreadable and the calmness in her eyes made him uncomfortable and anxious as well.

His anger, which had once burned so fiercely was, now mixed with an unsettling worry as he waited for her to respond.

The sight of the wound made his heart clench. Without saying a word, he gently traced the area around the wound while his fingers brushed her skin lightly, as though afraid of causing her any further pain.

Sunaina saw the seriousness in his eyes and her amusement gave way to a realization of just how much he cared.

Sunaina remained silent. Her calmness unnerved him. He gently removed her jacket and then peeled away her shirt, which was soaked in blood. The sight of the crimson stains spreading across the fabric made his heart clench.

His hands, though firm, were careful as he worked and revealed the wound beneath the bloodied material.

Sunaina's lack of response only heightened Nilay's concern and made the silence between them feel even heavier.

"Do you care for me?" Sunaina finally broke the silence.

Nilay froze at her question that caught him off guard. His hands were hovering over her wound but his gaze shifted to her face and searched her eyes for the meaning behind her words.

The vulnerability in her tone struck a chord in him and cut through the tension that had built between them.

For a moment, the weight of her question hung in the air and added a new layer of complexity to the situation, one that went beyond the physical wound in front of him.

"Yes, I do. Because you are a human not a robot", Nilay responded and his voice was low but firm.

His eyes locked onto hers and for a moment, the room seemed to still. His answer ignited another wave of madness in her as she clenched her jaw tightly.

He quickly observed her expression and said coldly, "I can neither forget nor forgive you for what you have done".

His voice was filled with restrained emotion.

He turned away from Sunaina as his steps were heavy as he walked towards the door.

Without looking back, he pulled out his phone and dialed for a doctor while his jaw was clenching in frustration.

Sunaina's eyes followed Nilay as he ended the call and his shoulders were tense and his expression was unreadable.

He returned to Sunaina who was lying on the bed and watching him in silence.

Neither of them spoke and the air between them filled with all the things left unsaid.

The weight of his words echoed in her mind, though she felt the sting of his anger as she knew he still cared.

The way he called for the doctor and the way he hadn't left her side, went to meet his family- all were showing his concern even in his frustration, told her as much.

"How did you get hurt? Your hand is also bandaged," Sunaina asked him and her voice was soft as it cut through the thick silence of the room.

Nilay's eyes flickered toward her, but he didn't move and the tension was still visible in the rigid line of his shoulders.

"You didn't answer my question, So why should I answer yours?", he replied coldly as his voice was laced with frustration.

Sunaina frowned slightly as her gaze lingered on the bandage around his hand but she said nothing more and sensed that pushing him now would only deepen the divide.

The silence returned, but this time, it felt even heavier and weighed down by the walls they were both building around themselves.

Nilay turned away and took deep breathings as he tried to regain control over his emotions.

He didn't want to show vulnerability to her, not now, when everything felt so fragile and unexpected.

He paced the room and his mind was racing with conflicting thoughts and feelings. Each step he took echoed the turmoil within him, a battle between anger and care.

"Who are those people who were with you outside? How did you get hurt? Where did you get a gun? Who is Nora? You hurted my mother. You pointed a gun on my mother's temple. Do you have any idea of your actions? I don't trust you. You lied to me. You are fake", Nilay's voice boomed in the room.

She stared at him straight and then she sat down on the bed while wincing slightly and putting her palm on her stomach.

She did not pay attention to his harsh words and ruthless treatment for herself as her mind was clouded with some other thoughts.

Nilay's brows furrowed deeply while looking at her. She did not show any reaction that twisted his heart. He felt guilty using harsh words for her.

On the other hand, Sunaina tossed her shirt onto the floor while her gaze was fixed on him.

Their eyes locked together and the room felt tense under the weight of her piercing stare.

"I have a question to ask you, Pookie", Sunaina said as her voice was soft yet commanding.

Slowly, she rose from the bed and started taking small and measured steps toward him while speaking, "So, answer me truthfully."

He stood there as his deep brown eyes locked on hers and was unsure of what was coming.

Her presence dominated the space and each step she took tightened the invisible grip she had on him.

As she stood closer to him, the warmth of her body contrasted the cool air between them.

"What is it, Sunaina?" Nilay finally asked as his eyes never left her eyes and looked at her half naked upper body.

Sunaina stopped just inches away as her lips were curving into a small and knowing smile.

"We kissed passionately. You kissed me roughly, and it was a wild, intense, and thirsty kiss," Sunaina said and her voice was steady but laced with something unresolved as she said again, "But it was incomplete..."

Nilay frowned deeply and his eyes were narrowing as he tried to make sense of her words, "What are you talking about?".

Sunaina held his gaze and her expression was unreadable. "Yes, our first kiss was incomplete because there was something missing. Something you weren't giving me."

Nilay could feel her hot breathings fanning his face as he stared deeply at her face.

"I feel it because I am wet, Nilay. I am thirsty. A fire is ignited in my heart and my body is in flames. I want you to enter me, enter in my itchy vagina and squech my thirst but you stopped at a point" Sunaina's voice dropped lower as it was filled with frustration.

Nilay's ears turned red at her dirty and vulgar talk as he scolded her, "Stop talking nonsense".

"My pookie, my whole world, You were not hard. I did not feel your erection. Why?, Sunaina said bluntly and her words were heavy with unspoken tension.

She stared at him and was waiting for a response as her eyes were challenging him to explain.
